Videos like this really help to put in perspective how difficult and how impressive finishing maps like this are. It's easy to think "Oh, Decino is a Doom god, of course he finished X" while forgetting the learning of the map, practice and then failed attempts that go into successful runs.
There is this sort of comfort while watching decino's map completion videos that no matter how bad a situation gets, he'll get through it since he (mostly) only includes successful runs. This video is like the opposite, with the hopelessness of knowing that it can only end in failure no matter how up things may look. Also, something something revenant linedef and imp cliff.
Decino at that 19:00 minute mark the (controlled) anger the frustration the tiredness... I felt it all man. I know you might think these are just doom videos, but you are creating art, dude. I felt so bad for you decino at the end of night 1 when out of sheer frustration you were hating yourself. Dude you just tried a nearly impossible map 64 times at that point, which is probably about 50 times more than I would’ve tried it. As is typical for your outtakes videos, this one is both heartbreaking and inspiring. So from all those ultimate-battle type of maps I gather that the key factor to finally beating a super hard, long, grindy level is just not to care about dying, even if it's one hour into the map and to the very last monster alive. You die - you just shrug and start all over, until Hell's final bastion falls. Psychology is just as crucial as actual skill and luck, if not more.
I came here to watch the outtakes and many attempts being made before I go watch the hour long video of you completing this level. Mad props as always decino. I couldn't even try this on Hurt Me Plenty if I dared to.

As is typical for your outtakes videos, this one is both heartbreaking and inspiring.
So from all those ultimate-battle type of maps I gather that the key factor to finally beating a super hard, long, grindy level is just not to care about dying, even if it's one hour into the map and to the very last monster alive. You die - you just shrug and start all over, until Hell's final bastion falls. Psychology is just as crucial as actual skill and luck, if not more.
That imp cliff seems like a safety hazard

I came here to watch the outtakes and many attempts being made before I go watch the hour long video of you completing this level. Mad props as always decino. I couldn't even try this on Hurt Me Plenty if I dared to.

I liked that part where he crossed the linedef to spawn extra revenants and then ran to the cliff to get kicked into the lava by an imp.
The sheer stubbornness and determination needed to persevere through this many failures in a row is beyond amazing. Decino, you deserve a medal and a statue in the Hall of the Doomgods.
