Hello Richard, very nice painting once again. Magnificent this immense wave, which contrasts with the sky and the sea in the background, and whose power we feel in the foam which dominates its crest! I feel like it took you even more energy than usual to work on this coarser canvas. Thank you for sharing

G'day Richard. The energy, the power, the dynamic range...and that's just the artist. Another top lesson in playing off the contrast of chunky stillness versus smooth movement. As a photographer and prospective painter, I have learned so much and even in this video, I am reminded of the contrasts in the wave. Looking at the video of waves rolling in, I see the different shades of off-white, grey-white and pure white in the mix with tinges of keyed down blue and green. The wave in the painting captures this beautifully. To the eye, this is a simple scene but in reality, there is much detail and movement to be seen with minimum knife strokes of course. Thanks once again mate, much to digest and ponder here. Cheers, Rich

LOVE IT!! We have what we call "the jetties" of crashing waves here at our Texas Coastlines. I have painted the jetty waves from a picture I took last year. I struggled with the wave in motion, but you totally captured it! Great work Richard! Love the see through effect of the wave and rugged rock area.

👋Hi Richard, one can't help but admire your beautiful work over and over again! This is another fine example of your artistry, your sense of gorgeous and vibrant color, energetic scenery and beautiful motifs and their implementation in general. I love both the rocky foreground and of course the wonderful wave rendered brilliantly with the emerald turquoise color and its movement. Thanks for this wonderful video, Richard. It's always a pleasure to watch one of your new artworks being created. 👍💖

Absolutely brilliant Richard! I do have to be honest and say that thicker linen texture does not suit your knife work. The strokes do not blend into one another as nicely. That said, you always make it look easy my friend!
