Love the future proofing of this indoor Gravity site...really think Tesla should do an indoor flagship charging site (like Electrify America did for the suburbs in SF). Also, I know I said Bard and it is now Gemini...I stopped using it before the name changed...habit lol
Seems like a waste of money to me. Don’t forget this is a business, how many vehicles would have to charge here before they saw a return on investment
Thank you. You are the first person to provide the details to support the writing campaign on RUclips that I have seen. Thank you again
In the Netherlands you do not need a permit at all, just a message to the energy distributor to say you have installed such and so solar PV system is sufficient and installation of a digital (connected) two way electricity meter (provided by the energy distributor, remains distributor's property). The agreed norms and standards of installation will make sure everything complies with the regulations, Installers are certified and have had training in this. Seems to work fine here, plenty of solar everywhere. Back in the day I signed for my Solar panel system November 6, 2013, and December 18, 2013 the Solar panels and everything was installed, a day later I started to make my own energy.
Btw, it has been decided just a week ago 100% energy metering will not be wind down for the foreseeable future here in the Netherlands.. This means I can continue to use the grid as my battery and still no need for a home battery. Last year I got back about 150 dollars from my energy company as I delivered more electricity back than I used in whole of 2023..
Yes, you can’t train a neural net on a new cars because their isn’t any training video to speak of in existence with the different hardware and configuration.
Can we sue the court causing damages to share holders?
Nope. Courts are immune even if they are actually corrupt and wrong.
2:11 Building permits and final design takes more than 50% of the time. Construction can be done in 3 days if they have unlimited money and labor. Most of that it concrete drying time.
Cures over night if above 34 degrees never stops curing….UNO PERMISSION TO OCCUPY STRUCTURE IS OBTAINED ONCE ELECTRICAL AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION signs off
It should be noted that Gravity's chargers, while touting 2x Tesla supercharger speeds, are strictly CCS ports. They don't even mention NACS ports on their website. So much for "future proofing"!
And, at 14:07, the ceiling mounted cables are on the wrong side and are not long enough for Teslas!
Evs have been around for a long time now. Why are fire departments and emergency responders still not prepared to deal with these cars? Seems like a lot of senior management needs their asses kicked, or sued.
Seems like the foam they use to fight metal fires on aircraft carriers would work well on battery fires. It cuts oxygen off.
Because government bureaucracies don't give a sh1t about fixing problems.
One word, in my opinion, COMPLACENCY
@@daegueric "When the metal oxides in a battery’s cathode are heated, they decompose and release oxygen gas.
Fires need oxygen to burn, so a battery that can create oxygen can sustain a fire."
Also: water can suck up much more heat than foam so this is required on an EV fire.
Why dont the battery makers figure out how to make batteries that dont burst into flame and burn ? Isn't a bit adolescent to demand that the world change to satisfy your idea of what is "advanced"
@16:00 I don't think it needs 3 motors. As long as it has one rear Plaid, carbon fiber wrapped motor in a dual motor configuration, since the Model 3 is so much lighter, it will be ludicrously fast.
It doesn't have to do with need.
@@snookmeister55 They aren't going to do it for various reasons. A Model 3 with a curb weight of around 4,000 lbs. with a Plaid motor that is capable of 20k rpm+ will be a monster at a reasonable cost. Plus we don't even know if you could stuff two Plaid motors and its drive unit in the rear underbody of the Model 3.
The current Model 3 Performance with a 0-60 of 3 seconds has a rear motor with 283 hp and a front motor with 197 hp for a total rating of around 450 hp. One single Plaid motor can put out 414 hp. So with one rear Plaid and one normal front motor the Model 3P could put out around 600 hp which is incredible for its curb weight. To put it in perspective the Porsche Taycan Turbo S puts out a similar 616 hp but weighs 1,000 lbs. more than the Model 3!
Also, there is a very important engineering reason for not having more power than this. The Model 3 chassis isn't big enough with the current battery cell energy density to hold more than the 80 kWh or so that it can currently fit. Current battery cells have a c-rate limitation on how much power they can discharge. Even if you put in 3 motors you wouldn't be able to feed them their max output from the pack unless you made the 3 motors smaller with a lower power output. But Tesla isn't going to make a special motor just for the Model 3P so they can put in 3 with the same overall hp as 2.
@ 14 : 33 ur 109% accurate the union pinned legacy into a corner legacy has no choice but to use robots now
USA robots work for the same wages as Chinese robots, so this is good for USA production.
thx for the overview.
10:38 Note to my self, don't use aggressive mode, I would have to change pants too often
Its game over for Tesla!Elon is just a bullshitter!
Wish they made a bigger battery rwd to make a longer distance road tripper.
I saw it…. I was surprised… pictures don’t do it justice…. I was aww struck!!! 😮
Every home and business should install a rain water collection and storage system along with solar panels.
Even in areas where rain is infrequent it is crazy to waste the little rain that does fall and waste it.
We need to stop planting green lawns and switch to local native plantings around homes.
It is crazy to plant lawns and build golf courses in dry desert areas. We waste too much water and electricity.
the future is electric. Wind and solar energy along with electric vehicles are the future. Stop using fossil fuels. There is a climate crisis.
Big respect for Alexandria.
she's a true gem for the community 💎
What's the point of future proofing power output but not connector type on a megacharger?
IIRC, the contract says the penalty would be $50,000 or the sale premium, WHICH EVER IS GREATER. So not limited to $50,000 penalty. Tesla need to act fast if they mean to stop these resales. Actually, for Tesla to have any credibility at all regarding any of their terms and conditions.
Since courts take forever, one way to immediately affect these resales would be to ban access to any Tesla chargers.
Tesla should auction off a few Cybertrucks each week. That way people who really want one can get one, no matter the price, without having to worry about being involved in a lawsuit. That would dissuade people from trying to sell their Cybertrucks.
Not a bad idea @jeffg4570
How does it harm Tesla when a Cybertruck is sold by the first owner?
Thank you.. You are the best Tesla site!
Tesla solar and tesla insurance both need to hurry it up!
agreed! getting a quote for solar roof tomorrow actually. still probably a few years away but i'd like to get an idea for how it's operating right now
Doesn't make sense to do FSD for CyberTuck given very low volumes at this stage. Model Y and 3 is much more important as they have the volume.
agreed...but also an important reminder for licensing to other oem's it's most likely not going to be a seamless transition from tesla to other automakers. i also think you're right, tesla just needs a lot more real world data collected from CT cameras before feeling comfortable rolling it out
If FSD is so hardware agnostic that it can be retroinstalled on all the old Tesla fleet, installing it on the Cybertruck will be a four hour job. All you do is plug in the sensors, plug in the motherboard, and it should do a self-csliration to adjust the rest.
If installing FSD isn't that easy...all the existing customers may be lining up in court. Tesla has painted itself into a corner.
109%👍true REAL TALK
Doesn’t make sense to buy a cybertruck you need to buy fsd so it should be included now
@@TravisONiPhone FSD is included with CyberTruck Foundation Series.
Terrific episode. Okay Loomis you got me. I watched your entire episode this morning before I checked Tesla's share price. After all which is more relevant to how my investment in Tesla is doing? (What some people think today? or what's inevitable?)
"The rate of technological progress is the only true competitive advantage." For years I've been going on about David Deutsch's book "The Beginning of Infinity." (And I don't think many have read it.) His basic premise are these two points. First of all the concepts of infinity apply to science and technology. We will never stop making progress, learning more, doing more. Second, as we do this we will advance faster and faster. Since I first read the book many years ago I've thought that Apple was doing this but not fully aware. (The thing that killed Apple's iPod was the iPhone.) And I think Tesla is consciously doing this, probably since before they sold the first Roadster. The acceleration aspect is that the company that accelerates fastest and earliest can not be surpassed, or even caught up to. The Polestar CEO seems to understand this.
13:35 - Baffling that any charger company would today install a CCS anything...the very antithesis of "future proofing".
If you don't like the verdict that protects shareholders by mandating independent boards, the route to go is to change the laws. But, before you do, consider why independent boards are important, and look back to Enron for an example where many people lost their life savings...
The FSD for smoother ride sounds like a Transportation Vibration machine! Are there accelerometers in the car?
Mechanical oscillator
The FSD schock technology comes from Koni. You can read all about it on their website. They changed the name on their aftermarket product from FSD to Special Active (Reds) a few years ago. You can even buy a set for older model 3s and model Ys.
Maybe 2 Plaid motors for the refreshed Performance 3…
hardware 4 is a major holdup for getting v12 on the Cybertruck, per Tesla.
I believe the delay for the next FSD V12 release means that by the time I get it, it will be that much better. IMHO the Tesla FSD Development Team is correcting problem after problem, following an ordered list of most serious to least serious.
Thank you for another interesting and meaningful video!
If I'm reading your China deliveries chart correctly, it looks like the domestic deliveries YTD are UP 26% from Jan/Feb 2023. Looks like they have scaled back on exports, possibly because of increased output in Berlin.
Tesla should buy Lemonade Insurance while they're still relatively cheap!
Troll a lot maga freak?
Are u a customer? How has your experience been?
Just an FYI, all the vehicles have to train their own neural networks. It’s tuned to their specific camera locations. And that requires data. So first collect data, then train on that data. It’s gonna take a while…
In that case, data is being collected now by the Cybertrucks already on the road.
tesla cybertruck fsdv12 data lacking . . . . . . please add additional data
At 2:12 that movie screen looks like it will completely block all those windows in the building next door! It doesn't even look like a six foot separation or setback from the property line. How did Tesla get approval for that screen? If I was the next door property owner I would be very upset and headed to court.

I sent a letter to the "judge" today
How important is Tesla Insurance to the future availability of ROBOTAXI? (I think it’s interdependant ) is there a correlation between RT target states and those active/not active with Tesla insurance ? Just a thought.
Dillon is right. FSD on cybertruck is going to require model fine-tuning with data from the cybertruck. No way around it. If there's not enough good days, there's no FSD.
Hand written letters count for more brownie points.
Elon said a year ago that fsd would roll out to Europe when it was fully rolled out and working well in the US
Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance did the same thing as open AI. They were non-profit and affordable. Now they are for-profit and corruptly expensive.
NY Post article EV's produce more particulates than gas vehicles....this is absurd.
Regarding the 5000 supercharger miles if in good faith you order a Tesla for delivery before March 31st and Tesla fails to deliver you are SOL. That is a pretty crappy policy and attitude to take. Not very endearing to potential customers.
I feel sorry for the people with the windows behind the movie screen.

omg.. you rounded up 236,999 to 237,000! Every other number you usually say 236.9 thousand.. which drives me nuts by the way..(truncating numbers rather than correctly rounding)
interesting...wonder if most people feel this way. thanks for sharing this! i'm going to ask the question tomorrow and try to get a sense for what the majority would prefer
@@DillonLoomis22 Falling for the 9999… trick sure bugs ME.
@@DillonLoomis22well, i maybe pedantic.. i'm reminded of the drag race people who break 9 seconds say (8.9 for example) and then say they got an 8 second quarter mile.. no, no they didn't and the physics impossibility of 8.0 secs compared to 8.9 is off the charts.. and so it depends..
I live in the NE. My opinion on EV's is right in the middle. It's going to take time, and forcing people to like/accept it is only going to make adoption worse. I still don't know if I want to be in my Tesla on a dark winter night when it's snowing and below zero. Or if I ever want my vehicle "driving me around". Make good products, show an advantage over ICE, prove reliability, and customers will come. Like the old (new) saying, "If you build it they will come" LOL. I will still keep my 12 year old ICE truck, but when/if the time comes, I look forward to supporting Tesla only. IMHO, they are the US electric vehicle company. 2:55 Cybertruck is meant to be a stand-alone vehicle... Y would it be like the rest?

Here in Australia you can buy a 6.6kW solar system for about $US2,800!
I just paid about $5,500 US for 8.5/6 optimiser system in Sydney. Still great value and pumps out an average of 25 kwhs per day. Fifty on a sunny summer day. That system could keep 3 EVs doing 400 klms each per week for 20 years. Solar and EVs rule.
Less. I paid $3300 AUD x2 for two 6.6kW systems in 2019. Running heat pumps on 2 pools, paidforthemselves in 12 months. Last 3+ years has been free, even making a little money from the grid rebates. No brainer in Oz.
I added a 20kW system to my home last year, with 19kWh battery. Charges 2 teslas, runs a pool plus the house. Have much more than 100kWh/day available if I could use it all. Love apocalypse mode when the grid goes down! 😊
They could've used this in the Dune movie🤣
Did V12 change the highest setting to aggressive from assertive? AI driver should know better if not.
👍
Just an aside regarding testers taking testing "too far." That's the point of testing. Push the test (with the caviot in this case of using legal actions) until you find failure points. If the driver had taken over, would the incident have gotten this level of attention?Thank goodness nothing serious happened.
But the model S is 0,208 coefficient.
10:21 - Driving over two solid lines. Not allowed. Driver should have taken over and disallow this action flagging a mistake in the driving automation routine. If he did so three times, then he did this wrong three times.
Hi Dillon, I just wanted to correct your video regarding the CyberTruck crash. I know the owner personally it was not the owner as the owner rented it to a high profile client. Not sure who crashed it but it was not the owner. Please correct.
I'd wait for 48volt versions...
Just buy a Chevy Bolt!
You really do a great job with these videos man! So cool seeing how you've iterated over the last 6 months to make the content more condensed yet still feeling personal. 2024 is going to be an accumulation year for TSLA stock, which I'm fine with. I had to sell all my stock to build my airbnbs, but now that they are printing it's time to buy!
Legacy autos choice to lobby with million dollars against and not innovate towards EV’s and efficiency is not any fault at all of unions. Let’s get this straight.
Re Tesla 's Shanghai energy storage plant site: I did not see that young lady saying that it is just a muddy field and that nothing would ever come out of it... EDIT I spoke too soon!
I've lost interest in EV's for the time being as it seems clear that battery progress has stalled and investment in charging networks is drying up. For now EV's are urban commute toy cars. I think hybrid-electrics with a EV range of 50 - 75 miles will be the way to go for people who just want a device that moves them from A to B comfortably, reliably and as inexpensively as possible.
I do have a CT reservation thats probably a year out from being fullfilled. I'll keep it to see if things change but skip it if CT range is not at least 600 miles.
It's really hard to HODL now. I hope there is at least one big catalyst this year.
You still dont understand that it was justt crazy hysteria around Tesla the last 5 years and the crazy mania is over so you can expect a reasonable stockprice of 50$ longterm!
Didn't Sandy Monroe want one as well, as a tear down?

Dillon, your logic is flawed - China numbers are a concern. I get the Chinese New Years being Feb this year while it was JAN for last year, BUT…
If you take the average of JAN/FEB of 2023 and compare to the average of JAN/FEB of 2024 it shows negative growth. You cant just say Feb was chinese new years this year and ignore the obvious decline!
Look at competition like BYD
Barring some extraordinary event it’s likely that Tesla stock will retest the $152 low. I’ll be a buyer that that level. Just saying.
My fist paragraphs to Hon McCormick: Please, please, minimize further damage to Tesla, both with its stock and progress.
As a retired avionics engineer and president of Infinite Delta Corp most failures occur from distractions.
Whether its from a driver in a car, or a pilot, or any part of the infrastructure involving survival.
It seems much of society does understand this critical aspect of safety.
Aviation safety, including my flight testing with pilots, military human factors all all made distraction as the number one cause of failures.
It's clear to most engineers why we need to get and keep Elon Musk's attention back on Tesla.
Having an impossible goal really helped, but now fear his attention will divert more on X-AI since losing the necessary control of AI work within Tesla.
Actual investors are concerned about losing Elon's attention on this next most critical phase of Tesla.
Neither Bill Gates, nor Warren Buffet invested into Tesla since its mission is to transition the world to a sustainable future, not simply profit.
Just because they allow a youtuber to do funny experiments doesnt mean that they are generally open to these kinda things.
Steer-by-wire makes no difference to FSD on Cybertruck. The steering servo is the same, only the computer makes it proportional. Rear wheel steering will complicate the path. All this makes FSD many years to completion as there is zero intelligence, only statistical algorithms and no memory
Its amazing!Just look at Toyota! To the moon!
Truck looks like it packs nicely in a C10. Plus has small arms protection and the glass can be replaced with armour because there will be no need for a driver if its automonous.
In war that is most critical tomresupply the front lines. A landmine wont kill people and require rescue and medics.
It wasnt designed for you and they needed the fan boys to sell the idea to get costa down. They used you to with the rickets too and the boring machines etc.
ALL ARE MILITARY RELATED ITEMS KIDS.
Like the Who sung in thier song
Who Are You
Read the lyrics.
The moon mission helped fund the missile crisis. Thousands of military rockets were built in the same factories.
Same old song and dance and they found a group of nieve partners looking for a quick buck. Same as last time. Go look at those Towns now and what that military enterprise left behind. If you research and look closely youll see the connection to the Brittish and Cape Hope.
All this stuff will be used to supply front lines with weapons , guns, ammo and supplies during the coming war.
Tesla and Musk didn't invent "rear wheel steering" and weren't the first to offer it in production. I had a 1988 Honda Prelude years ago that had it. Yes, on a production car in 1988! And well over 50 other vehicle have had it. As for "steer by wire" same thing, as manufacturers including Acura, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, General Motors, Genesis, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Rolls-Royce have all produced vehicles with it.
Everything Musk supposedly "invented" has already been done by others. I'm flabbergasted that so many people blindly give him credit without actually checking the facts.
It is about accessibility. These in practice did not exist for the masses.
They still had a steering column.
Sometimes it isn’t so much a question of having the idea, it’s making that idea’s hardware/software reliable and affordable in mass production.

Your Chinese New Year in February analysis is flawed. Total deliveries from January + February 2023: 140,453. 2024: 131,812. 9.3% decline in deliveries, year over year. However, the promising tally is in China domestic sales. J + F 2023: 60, 836. 2024: 76,391. A 25.5% increase in domestic sales year over year.
Dillon, did you see Adcock's interview with Herbert? Maybe he just had this epiphany in the last two weeks, but he was very evasive with Herbert. It didn't seem like he had even considered some of the extremely basic softball questions that were asked. My BS detector was set off and I do not believe anything the guy says. It was the same feeling as when I watched Trever Milton tell Jason he could out Elon Elon. If fact, these words of Adcock sound like Rawlinson making statements in word or in writing that sound exactly like Elon and/or Tesla. You shouldn't even cover start up EV makers, now robot makers. They do not deserve any coverage until they execute on something that comes to market IMO. No more coverage of plans or videos of prototypes.
Well - New Year aside Tesla still selling less this year. 2024 so far about 132k compared to 2023 140k !!! So going forward Tesla has to pick up their game if they want to scale as promised. Troy isnt bullish on the Q1 numbers either. Think 2024 will be damn slow, but we will get there - just gonna take longer.
The major constraint with Tesla's stock - Musk is a genius at creating ground-breaking new products, but not so great at monetizing them in a meaningful way that will generate earnings for the stock to skyrocket. The numbers - over the past 15 yrs, only one process has generated meaningful monetizing growth - Model 3/Y. Otherwise - Model S/X, Cybertruck, Roadster, Semi, Bot, FSD, Next Gen, Boring tunnel, Neurolink, Starlink, X, storage, XAI, solar roofs... none of those products/services have achieved it. That's not a great batting % over a 15 yr timeline. It's no wonder the stock spends most of it's time stuck in the muck
