I'd forgotten the new villain's name so I was really relieved when he said Count Bleck. I thought RT was taking the piss saying Count Bleck so many times but then I looked at the screen. I forgot how much the dude says his name
That sounds like something I would have thought. As a kid, I thought the screen effect when your Pokemon was poisoned meant you had low batteries. My mom couldn't understand why my Gameboy needed so many batteries :P
A decade ago i did literally get the whole million just by the hamster wheel room. I held down the button, changed the channel and switched back every few hours to see my progress. It took several hours but I did skip the whole vault part of the story
Paper Mario fans may not see this as the best of the series compared to TTYD, but god the memories I have of playing this with my dad are absolutely magical

It was fun, it was funny, it had a cool story and even some character development. It was perfect, it set an absolute golden standard for the series. (Which may have effected peoples reaction to Super a bit) *Super Paper Mario*: Super was *very* different, a break away from the pack in every way. My guess, at least, is it was trying to get more people into the series by combining elements from other games. A paper mairo story taken to the next level, with more traditional mario gameplay, sounds good! The problem? Paper mario fans liked the rpg gameplay as much as they did the story and missed the talkative partners, while the usual mario fans found the story to be too much and the cutscenes long and slow. This lead to A LOT of negativity. Though, it was still the best seller. *Paper Mario, Sticker Star*: The bad one, a pretty universally disliked portable Paper Mario game. It was kinda just a dumbed down version of the first two, and was hated for it. According to what I've seen said the problems were- there was only one partner now and she hated you. The story boiled down to "Bowers did a bad and now he's extra evil." They refused go more than a sentence without mentioning the fucking stickers. Said stickers were the *only* way you could attack and annoying as well. And, it's greatest offence, it was the first game to switch paper mario from an rpg with an aesthetic to the "everything is paper, isn't that fun?" games (Which, I personally don't mind, but bothers most people). What it did do well, was bring in people who didn't have the ttyd standard, and just enjoyed the game as it was. It was a bad game, though perhaps a bit exaugurated. *Paper Mario, Color Splash*: An... okay game. It had a lot of the same stuff from Sticker star, but less jarringly. It focused even more on the idea of paper physics, but running around painting stuff was neat. It had the same battle mechanics with a few quality of life changes and a different name, and the story was really similar to sticker star, so people who hated sticker star still didn't like it. This is really where a divide set in, because lots of people loved the game while many original fans felt it was a cheap knock off of what once was. If nothing else, it was very pretty. *Paper Mario, Origami King*: A pretty good game. Basically just confirmation that the series has not and will not go back to how thing were, though old fans did get their multiple partners back, kinda. It's gimmicky, but pretty funny and seems to be agreed on as a generally fun time. The old fans aren't really as up in arms about it anymore so it's actually mark on it's own merits than it ttyd's shadow, so its just, good. And that's about it, I think that describes the internets opinion as well as I can, hope someone finds this helpful.
i just find it so sad how super paper mario went further with its story than any mario game ever did, and then the game after erased all of that and made it as generic as possible. super paper mario's story is like, shockingly meaningful and has some really good emotional moments, which is something that i think it did better than TTYD
I got my copy of Super Paper Mario offhandedly at a retail store several years ago. Didn't know then that I'd love it as much as I do now, but I'm so glad I got it when I did. A very great game that I highly recommend getting for yourself if this interests you.

Also also O'chunks in the italian version il called "Pugnazzo" wich means "crazy strong punch" (it's difficult to explain it XD) in rome's dialect...he also talks in Rome's dialect.

one of my major problems with this new hub, and how it doesn feel like a hub. It feels like the generic towns in the other regions, just stretched out. I would particularly feel very glad if this acted more as a hub, like the older games, where you find the entrance to the world's by exploring the hub. Every entrance to the new world is just replaced by the Heart Pillar. And presenting the new heart opens it up. It would work really well with a new gimmick. How Flipside is really empty, except for a few people. And the more chapters you complete, more residents from those worlds come join you in flipside

Um so I started playing this game now on my very old Wii and after going in all the rooms, went back to Mimi.

RT talking about Swamp levels reminded me of the entirety of Celica route Act 4 in Echoes
4:30:24 both xenoblade 1 and 2 have amazing swamp levels so that’s a example of a good swamp level, other than that I got nothing.

@@MrGowose it’s less about that they don’t like puns, it’s about the way they phrased it. If they said “oh yeah I don’t like puns so I didn’t finish it” then that would have been fine. But saying “ I LITERALLY (I’m just putting emphasis here) stopped because EVERY OTHER LINE(again emphasis) was a pun” they are acting like because puns are common in a Mario rpg game that it ruins it. The puns are common but it’s not like they take away from the beautiful story it’s telling.

one of my major problems with this new hub, and how it doesn feel like a hub. It feels like the generic towns in the other regions, just stretched out. I would particularly feel very glad if this acted more as a hub, like the older games, where you find the entrance to the world's by exploring the hub. Every entrance to the new world is just replaced by the Heart Pillar. And presenting the new heart opens it up. It would work really well with a new gimmick. How Flipside is really empty, except for a few people. And the more chapters you complete, more residents from those worlds come join you in flipside
But let's ask the important question here: How much GIRTH is there, in Dimension D?
