I love how it starts off all orchestral, making you think it's a Mario Galaxy style orchestral piece but then it just turns into jetset radio. Had us in the first half not gonna lie.
yes and its stuff like that that really shows just how much love and care is put into these games. all these tiny little details that wouldn't even cross the minds of lesser developers combine to create something more purely joyful than any other game out there
Yeah, it wasn't that bad here in north-east Mexico yet. But i took all caution possible. I had to buy food and there was a flee market nearby with a fruit store in it. All people were extra carefull with everything, anti bacterial gel everywhere and everyone keeping distance from each other.
Is it just me or does steam Gardens look like planet wisp. You have purple water, red architecture framework and greenery with light green grass and trees.
Sounds like that kind of music that would play in something like a junkyard in a sunny day in like a movie Also not even 3 years since this game came out and I’m already feeling nostalgic for it
This theme is so good I could easily see myself listening this for 30 minutes straight. I love how there is no focal point to the song it is just good consistently.
yeah, in planet wisps you could tell it's not all natural because of the machines and stuff. Steam Gardens is a very simallar case. It has more of a nature + mechanic feeling to it. If you look upwards you'll see that it's sealed as well
I will never get tired of hearing this song, it's definitely the best Odyssey. Also, for whatever reason, this song strangely reminds me of the character select theme from Smash 64.
i like how it slightly sounds like its played on an intercom or speaker, considering in the level you can see how the entire forest is inside a large dome with a big light being the sun
Anyone else get this weird feeling of melancholy when listening to the main guitar line? Idk what it is, but something about it feels a little bit sad despite the upbeat nature of the song.
While I loved Mario basketball and Mario Kart as a kid, I've never been super into the main line Mario games, but this game really surprised me. Sand Kingdom really hooked me, but I think I truly fell in love when this track dropped. What a cool game
I wished Mario games did stuff like this more instead of copy pasting old themes. Like, you don't always need to use the same world themes with maybe two new ones (which they hardly ever do, adding new stuff is apparently to risky), just try and make the area themes that have been used before more different and interesting.
I remember hearing this in during the gameplay at e3 and because it's purposefully condensed I thought "Where is that music coming from? What other game is being shown nearby?" and I think it's kinda funny how I would later discover that this was the game all along.
I like how it just starts really intense like something is going to happen, and then it changes to something that sounds like it was heard in the 1900’s, *Nice*
I remember when this comment section was filled with 'best soundtrack from the game' or about 'the secret underneath the world's map'. Now it's bombarded with comments about an 'angry british child who screams pogchamp, hates men and is feeling good', and I'm loving it

Is it me or does this song sound really compressed like it's playing from an old radio? I love it.
It sounds like this in game, so it's probably on purpose.
There are old robots here, so it fits an old radio vibe
Its based on psychedelic rock from the 60s and 70s
Yes, except the orchestral bits so they pop more, which is kind of genius.

This music is so out of place for a Mario game and I love it. Feels free out of the 70’s. Favorite track for sure.
