I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the 824 day of the war.
Day 824: May 27
Today, there are a lot of updates from the Kurakhove direction.
Here, following the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Novomykhailivka due to intense Russian pressure after half a year of heavy fighting, Russian troops are now attempting to seize the next tactically valuable position: Kostyantynivka. Capturing this location could enable them to achieve their primary objective in this direction-to bypass the Ukrainian stronghold of Vuhledar.
After initial unsuccessful attempts to capture Kostyantynivka with attacks from the west and southwest of Novomykhailivka, Russian forces decided to take a brief tactical pause to bring in reinforcements and prepare better for the upcoming battle. Kostyantynivka, a key transportation hub in the region, is crucial for any side that controls it. Prominent Russian military bloggers have noted that controlling Kostyantynivka would complicate Ukrainian logistics along the Vuhledar-Mariinka highway and create conditions for encircling the Ukrainian army group around Vuhledar.
The next logical step for the Russians was to commit significant forces to operations aimed at breaking through the Ukrainian defense line near Novomykhailivka. According to a Ukrainian commander in the area, the Russians have concentrated approximately ten units, including two brigades and several regiments, conducting over ten daily assaults with infantry and heavy equipment. These attacks follow the same two main vectors: one directly to the west and another heading southwest. The assaults are supported by strikes with guided aerial bombs and the continuous use of Lancet loitering munitions against relatively small targets, such as individual mortars, to undermine Ukrainian defensive capabilities.
Geolocated footage has emerged online, showcasing some of these attacks and their typical unfolding. In the first clip, published by Russian sources, an armored group is seen advancing against a Ukrainian position along a tree line in front of Paraskoviivka, a suburb of Kostyantynivka. Russian artillery provides suppressive fire against the defenders. Paraskoviivka is considered tactically important by the Russians due to its location just east of Kostyantynivka, with both settlements separated by a small lake. To advance into the village from the south of this water obstacle, the Russians need to capture the suburb on the north side, as failing to do so would leave their flank vulnerable to Ukrainian counterattacks. To support these multi-directional assaults, the Russians have conducted several heavy bombardments on Paraskoviivka.
Ukrainian soldiers from the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, responsible for the defense of this region, have released several videos showing in detail how they are countering Russian attempts to gain ground. These elite forces are engaged in relentless day-and-night operations, prioritizing the destruction of enemy armored vehicles. The first Russian vector of attack is through the farms located north of Novomykhailivka and east of Paraskoviivka. A turtle tank is leading the attack but explodes after hitting an antitank mine. Once it is disabled, the rest of the assault group, consisting of T72B3 and T80BV tanks, is also targeted with FPV drones and Javelin-guided missiles until all vehicles are destroyed. Simultaneously, the Russians also started another attack southwest of Novomykhailivka in an attempt to outflank the defenders in Kostyantynivka and attack them from the south. Here, their assault group consisted of several T-62M tanks, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, which tried to cross the open fields at high speed but were quickly spotted and destroyed by the Ukrainians. Although the published videos show only a fraction of the destroyed equipment, they highlight the resurgence of powerful Javelin anti-tank guided missiles, now widely available to the Ukrainians due to new aid packages from the United States.
After neutralizing the armored vehicles in both vectors of the attack, the Ukrainians quickly shift their focus to the enemy infantry and the surviving crews. Their drone operators documented how they finish off enemy soldiers in trenches, tree lines, and various hideouts using drone-dropped...

The Ukrainian forces, although they are in defensive operations, with the first arrival of Western aid and the ability to mobilize their material reserves by ensuring their renewal in the short and medium term.
They are showing their cunning, perseverance and determination, in the face of the offensives of the occupying forces.
Although it is suffering intense attacks, they cause great losses and casualties to the Kremlin Forces.
We will have to wait for a more complete distribution of Western aid and the arrival of aviation as more AA defense systems, to see how actions on the front evolve.

I just do not understand why one aggressive country attacks another one and many others countries world leaders all around the world did not stop this on his tracks with such a force others bad actors will think twice on the future,Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
There are three reasons. One is that there was a belief that if the EU and Russia links their economies together, by buying gas, the Russians would be less likely to attack and ruin that relationship. Instead, it was used against EU, because it was hard to delink their economies. Two, Putin has surrounded himself with extremists, to make himself feel more moderate. One of them will likely be his successor, and the west doesn't really want that. Third, NUCLEAR WEAPONS. Russia routinely tests their nuclear weapon delivery systems. Their delivery system seems 100% functioning, and since that is the hardest part of a nuclear bomb, it is likely they can bomb at will. And no one wants that.
Nuclear bombs? World leaders are corrupt? They are in on the plan? They knew this was coming? A long war serves their aims? Money laundering? Russia isn't actually a threat?
Any of these truths?

Please contact your elected representatives to demand that Ukraine be allowed to use donated military aid against legitimate military targets inside internationally-recognized russia borders, when done in self defense. Please write to your elected representatives to request this. If you are a US citizen;, please consider writing to President Biden and your other elected representatives, and demand Ukraine be given the above weapons - in war-winning quantities, and soon. The sooner we give Ukraine the weapons it needs and permit their proper use - to liberate all of its territory - the sooner this war will be over, and with fewer Ukrainian casualties. One may simply write and submit a letter electronically to make one's desire known.

The “turtle tanks” are just an evolution of tanks with a cope cage. And as we can see, it’s not much of an improvement.
They can be resistant to *some* types of drones. Of course, if they run into artillery or Ukrainian armour, they’re just big targets.
They trade off their visibility and ability to rotate the turret for some limited protection agiast drones, but the enclosure would seem to make them more vulnerable to a phosphorus shell or one with a napalm like effect that would consume the oxygen in the tank and cause panic, with the enclosure serving as the lid on an oven
But they look CUTE :)
These turtle tanks have Brocken through a lot of enemy lines, I've seen videos of drones bouncing off these tanks like there nothing of course.you might get lucky with them hitting a mine but other then that drone hardly damages it. I've seen 7 drones hit one turtle tank and the thing was still cruising breaking through the lines.

Unfortunately for russians
One has to wonder just how much blood and treasure Russia is willing to pay for Putin's vain pipedream of conquering Ukraine. I would suggest Russia has already exponentially overspent for meager gains where they simply find themselves in a similar position that will require once again huge losses in men and materials. It is helpful to remember that this Special Military Operation was to have concluded within 3 --14 days. It has been 2 1/2 years now, and with their best soldiers and best equipment they have managed to conquer practically nothing. And it's not like things will be any easier going forward. Thus far the United States has restricted how Ukraine may use the sophisticated weapons it is providing. But as the world becomes inured to Putin's threats of going nuclear, the U.S. is moving closer to removing restrictions on the long-range ATACMS. Time is not being friendly to Putin's pipedream of vanity and contrived heroism.
It's funny that Russia has less land in Ukraine now than they had in the first 1-2 months of the war.

At the current rate of progress, Russia might succeed before the end of the century!
They have only been able to achieve ANY "progress" due to the delay in the arrival of US aid. Now that it is reaching the battlefield, the tide is changing, and the ruzzian rate of "progress" is about to be transformed to a rate of "regress."
It’s deteriorating fast, the loses of aviation and armour can’t be replaced. Economy is serious trouble, labour market and population pyramid in very bad shape. Turtle tanks extra armour clearly doing fuck all against anti tank mines..
It's designed to mainly repel drones, which have been the biggest headache for both sides in this war. To that end, it has done an alright job.
@@Who-rx5ky
The armour is useles against drones. They had EW suits on these tanks, that is what helped the most.
@georgecristiancripcia4819 From what I've seen, it has been quite useful against drones, which is part of the reason why it got past behind the Ukrainian line with ease. I can't remember where I saw the video, but it just shrugs off a hit from a drone and what seems to be a cluster munition whilst going for a stroll. I need to find that video again.
@@georgecristiancripcia4819 The turtle armor is effective against drones that drop grenades, because the grenades can no longer fall into cracks in the tank and disable the tank. Instead, they bounce off the shell and lift the explosion off the fuel tanks. Not effective enough, but with all things, trial and error is probably the most powerful force in the world, and the Russians seem to be very willing to error.
@@eddiek6390
But a skilled pilot can still hit areas not protected by the armour with kamikaza drones(tracks or other gaps).
Also grenades are used to destroy already disable tanks,a tank than it is not already disable cannot be destroyed by a grenade.
The most effective defence of turtle tanks is the EW jammer they have, not the armour.
Thank you good sir
Great video again thanks

You know, we put soooo much money into educating the Soviet military, but they still don't learn. 🤷♂
@4:00 stop the video and look at the warehouse scene in the upper left. That does look like a shipment from the US or another NATO nation. One of the reasons is the plalletizing of the missiles making them easier to move in bulk. Pallets come in standard sizes that fit the trucks that we are doubtless sending with them. Weapons win battles, logistics win wars. We are steadily building Ukraine's logistical capabilities to NATO standards.
Great great great video thank you for the information provided
Great Video, thank a lot!
propaganda at its finest. Ukraine has already lost, admit it and face it.
They added so much weight to the tanks that the engine wants to die + their maximum speed drop to 6km/h.
Those metal plates aren't thick. Even if they add an extra tone - it doesn't change anything
@@yellowtunes2756
As a former Bradley Fighting Vehicle crew member
Armored vehicles take lots of maintenance.
Adding additional weight puts lots of strain on drive mechanisms.
They will break faster.
@@shawnr771 if that additional weight is less than 1% of the vehicle - it means absolutely nothing. I guess it will break a bit faster, but drones will break it first
Btw, there are tons of photos of Ukrainians adding kontakt 1 to Abrams and leopards, do you think Ukrainian adding extra protection is also a bad thing?
He didn’t say it’s a bad thing, he said extra weight makes things break faster. To determine if that’s good or bad you need more information.
@@yellowtunes2756 I am not there.
What I know is adding more weight puts a strain on the drive systems.
Shearing off bolts between the drive sprockets and on a Bradley what was called a prop. That is a short drive shaft between the front drive sprockets and the transmission are no fun to fix.
And the vehicle will only spin in circles.
If an enough weight is added it reduces speed, manueverability, possibly vision and operation of the guns.
It is a trade off.
Edit.
It can also add to logistical and maintenance times.
Increasing the dowm time for any break downs.
Very good news and report RFU! For the Algorithm as I’m a Patreon supporter !! 💪💪🫡🫡🇺🇦🇺🇦

5:30 The turtle tanks are specifically designed against drones, which are a poor mans weapon. The drone did hold the Russian back however while the Putinist in US held out on the needed material. Now that these more expensive and heavier hitting werapons are back in the game in full force, drones are still useful against softer targets.
