Yes, I know this is an older video but the process remains the same. Good diag Oz, even if this was a very simple one there's still a lot of people out there that mess it up. Good for you for taking your time to make these videos and put them together so that we can watch them.

That's right. Real mechanic right here. show the good and the bad. It happens to the best of us. And best believe it Won't be the last time either. Lol Man it can be a pain in the ass sometimes other times just requires more testing and thinking. Good stuff OZ.

My '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee wasn't charging. Found a bad connection on the control wire on the alternator. Tighten the terminals and it solved the issue. Previous owner had replaced the alternator. It also had a major key off battery draw. Turned out to be the electric cooling fan controller was the draw. Disconnected it from the fan and the draw went away. Could replace the cooling fan and controller, but it also has a manual fan and it cools just fine.

Is there a way to check the connector to isolate the problem?

Maybe when the belt departed company, it slapped the alternator connector and broke it internally?

    Don't 2010 F150 have a similar charging system?
