Awesome job dude a lot of people would have given up like the other four shops did, thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills
Thanks for watching. This is for sure one of the hardest cars I’ve worked on
This series was the most interesting automotive repair I've ever seen, and I've seen a ton of them. I envy the determination, patience, and skills you have. I would have put a lit flare under the driver's seat and called a day. lol. True reveal, at the final crank no start the fuel pump relay immediately came to mind that you didn't flip the switch or replace it. I guess I learned a lesson here.
Awesome. Glad you liked this series Dale! This one here was a fun one. I’m just glad it finally got fixed
With high gas prices it would have been sweet to keep it running without fuel like video title!! 😂🤣😝. Great work done Oz, keep up the videos coming.
damn I actually did a disservice to this car lol thanks for stopping by
Car went from won't run in the last video to won't stop in this one...lmao!
I’ve delt with 3800 series II v6 since I was 16 in my 96, it is a beast of a engine, but the wiring for these engine after the years of heat it degrades badly, but that’s to be expected, also headers had a help on my old harness, I’ve since 5.3 swapped that car and that lil v6 was sold to a guy who put it in his sons car and it’s running, 🏃 it makes me proud to know that lil engine is still going and kicking ass
Glad you figured it out. That had me scratching my head for a few. Lol
I was scratching my head for a while. Just glad the car was fixed
OZ man, your attitude in this video itself is awesome!! it does make a tech/person feel awesome to figure something out like this!! great job dude!!
Hey Oz they make jack stands for a reason. lol Be safe out there so you can watch your kid grow up!
It was on the control arm. My buddy Brian told me about it. I just didn’t fill putting the jack or stands
@@OzMechanics I thought you might but then I thought Oz might be trying to cut corners. ha ha

Enjoyed this series, great job Oz!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
La felicidad que se siente al reparar Ufff.... Gracias OZ Por compartir estos vídeos.
awesome work here man…hard work and pure talent and determination got you through this. Was screaming at my phone when you went for that first final crank 😂 I could see that relay tester still in there
I was soooo excited to crank the vehicle and I forgot the relay lol. Thanks for stopping by
NICE JOB, WELL DONE.
Thanks for teaching OZ 🙏
Thanks for watching
Crazy Awesome, tutorial. Gonna store this in the Grey matter.
Great call on the injectors!
Thanks for stopping by
Great work as always!
Thank you sr
Possessed! You might need help above us all! Lol! Seen something like this before. Weird and the most cool issue to come across.
This was hands down the hardest diag I’ve done
Awesome diagnosis. I would change the oil one more time.
Cool video....all ya gotta do now is replace the broken bolts on the pulleys. A1 !!
We’ve all been waiting on this case study !
Same here….Let me know what you think
@@OzMechanics I utilize a 2005 Volvo five cylinder injector rail standalone. The Volvo injector rail fastens the injectors to the rail therefore you can put any Bosch In fuel injector on the rail.So I pressure drop each injector with the pulse tool and observe the spray pattern.I also utilize BG platinum injector cleaner as fuel source and you can watch the atomizer mist improve with a few rounds 👍
Excellent TS, shows that sticking to the OEM Baseline when TS still holds true.
This one was a crazy case study
Good job
Yep, you were right when we were having lunch at ASTE and talking about this one! Quite bizarre it was . It was nice meeting you and I hope you and your family had a safe trip home ! Hope to see you at ASTE again next year!
Awesome Bob glad you finally got to watch the video and it was a pleaser meeting you Bob. Hope to see you on the next one
Also if you haven’t watch the other part of this video. It’s a 2 parter
@@OzMechanics Yes, I watched part 1. Great diag process on this vehicle performed ! Got a kick out of the pcm fireworks, lol.
Amazing ! with all these problems this car could have easily ended up in the junk yard ! nice work !
It was on its way to car heaven
I recall similar ide long ago in Davidsfarm Cressida. It will run only when the fuel pump was off ans stalls as soon as the fuel pump was turned on. On inector was stuck open and somehow, the engine was able to pull gas from the tank from this open injector which ended feding the other ones too.
Man that was fun...🍻
It was great video
Amazing good job.
Thanks for stopping by
THAT IS MY MECHANIC!!!!
That was a CRAZY one, OZ. Not only were the injectors the wrong size, but it looked like one or more injector was continuing to leak after each test. The fuel pressure continued to drop rapidly after every test. It could've been the pressure regulator allowing fuel pressure to leak off, but once you fitted the correct replacement injectors, the pressure didn't leak down any more. Now I'd be wondering what condition the catalytic converter is in. It sounded like there was a pretty good exhaust leak once you got it running properly, or maybe the internals of the cat was completely melted down?🤣👍🇦🇺
I was waiting for this....wrong injectors excessive fuel in the crank case running off the fuel from there....nice diagnosis...when are you guys going to do another live stream? The last one was great!!
Yes I liked the last live stream too
nice find oz that was interesting
Thanks for stopping by
Omg, great video.
Thanks for watching. Were you able to watch the first part ?
@@OzMechanics I watch the Short Video you put and came here to see how was this possible for the vehicle be running gas line disconnected. I didn't know this was the second part.
You are the man
Thanks Leo. Were you able to watch the first one ?
nice one oz
Now that was a good one!
Thanks for stopping by
Great dig brother .. 38 yrs master certified and never seen this before .. lol, curious as to what tool with the green blinking light was on the engine when you were doing the flow test?
Nice thumbnail 👍🏽
What shops did it go to , butchers /bakers /candlestick makers , we call them FAST FIT garages in the uk , tyres oil change etc
Crazy car never seen before
This one was the craziest car I’ve ever worked on
Fumes from the charcoal canister coming through the purge valve, I had this happen on a 04 explorer when the plug to the fuel pump came unplugged by the rear tail light because of ice hanging from the wires and unplugged it. took me a couple hours to find it after replacing fuel pump...
The purge valve hose was disconnected on the vehicle
the intake must a valey inside for all the fuel to stay in .. lukely in did not suck it down in one shot in one cyl .thanks great video
I talked it over with Eric from advance level and man I Wish I had time to remove the intake
I have a 97 Camaro that's not getting any far from the coils I don't know what else to do I tried changing the ignition control module crank position sensor checked all the fuses I'm at a loss
Finally 👍👍👍
Hope you enjoyed it
crazy just crazy
Hope you enjoyed the video
p0420 next and the poor rings
OZZZZZZZ you the man bro , Great Job !!! get those carnitas out your mouth lol bro I enjoy your reactions , your happiness when you figure something out is exactly how i react as well !!!! 😂
Excellent video 👍 How did you make out with the busted bolts on the alternator.
The owner is a welder he said he was going to fix it
@@OzMechanics Car will be back with an electrical issue..
I have a this Camaro at home but I’m so lost on how to start fixing it I have no clue on how to fix a car
This is what happened when idiots work on cars. They CREATE problems ! 1 idiot can cause more problems than 10 engineers can fix. GREAT JOB.
I didnt get it.. The pressure gage was connected to one of the cylinders (?) and whe you turned on the injectors out of the engine the pressure dropped differently?
The pressure gauge was on the fuel rail
You want salt and pepper with that finger? (blooper)
Lmaooooo
Possibly the fuel pressure relief valve.
Hey Douglas. That was actually one of my first thoughts, but I realized the last shop replaced that because they thought that was the problem as well
@@OzMechanics that was a good call on checking the injectors.
I just don't understand how they put the wrong injectors in that car. Anyway good man, you do pretty good work.

Hello, good morning, I am contacting you, to be able to comment on the following situation that occurs in my vehicle, it was presenting an electronic problem, without knowing I changed the battery, and nothing, I went on to change the alternator regulator, and well, I I bought, it charges over 14.5V, and I considered the fault finished, one day cleaning the interior, I left the radio on, while I cleaned, and nothing after a few minutes, the voltage began to drop, less to less, until that the battery discharged at that moment, I was surprised because that had never happened to it, I did another test, with the battery charged again, I gave the contact, after a short time, equal to less than less, that in a moment the battery goes, I recharge it, install it, and leave it connected for approximately 2 months, until I realized that the red alarm light was not flashing, I checked it and discharged, that did not happen in the past either, did the current leakage test with the multimeter, because I told myself what And this would have to be a current leak, it is the logical thing to think, and what was my surprise, that the value it gave is 0.02, with the battery just charged, so there is no current leak, and then what is happening to you?, I have explained everything to you with hairs and bones, to see if you could help me determine the cause, because I do not understand it nor do I know what else to do, regarding what I am explaining to you, I await your prompt clarification, please, greetings.
Fuel pressure regulator
Nope 👎 was already replaced
Couldn't you have done this with the scan tool
If you watched the first video I didn’t have any communication with the pcm so it never pushed codes. I really can’t see where It could help
@@OzMechanics ah...totally forgot about the no com...
@@OzMechanics i was referring to the bi-directional controls for the injector balance tests gm's usually have rather than using the pulse tool
😵💫🤬😁👍🏻
They put the wrong injectors and probably charged that guy a lot of money for that work.
Evap purge hung open and lack of oxygen
Purge valve hose removed
Hi,how are you?I'm Katrina.I'm wondering what you think of the BT600. Waiting for your reply on insta.
