- Michael Bublé - I'll be seeing you
(Irving Kahal - Sammy Fain)
I'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day through
In that small cafe
The park across the way
The children's carousel
The chestnut tree
The wishing well
I'll be seeing you
Through every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you
This brings back the times when my folks would go get dressed up and go dance. Back when couples stayed in love and stayed married...for better or worse. No abuse. Just the argument once in awhile about stuff. Sitting and watching one tv ...together as a family. Eating at the dinner table. Going somewhere to picnic or swim. Camping. The beach. Going to the grandparents for the holidays. All the kids opening presents. The romance of the times. Love this song.
I just came across this song and post. Muffett's comment made me sad that all of that with family is long gone for me. 😭

They’re in all the familiar places and will be there forever. Cherish the times with the family that’s here. They’ll be saying the same about you some day. Life is short, love lasts forever.
@@danp4456 They live in my heart and my memories now.
I am a grandmother. I used to get dressed up, and went dancing with my husband. And the pain of death is that life goes on. Thank heavens we have beautiful music to remind us of wonderful times, long ago and far away. And when one closes one’s eyes - there you are! Back in that magical place 🌷
I have that same experience with Muffet's.,when I was young😍😍😍
This is REAL talent! Music that is timeless and he is helping to keep it alive.
When I hear this song, I think of the Greatest Generation and the sacrifices they made in the War. My dad was an American soldier during WWII and this song" I'll Be Seeing You" with the melody embraces the memories of that time and such beautiful lyrics.
Me too
My grandma always said she remembered this song playing on the jukebox at the bus station when her brother left for World War II. This song always made her cry.
Are you still alive?? Please replay🥺
I guess he has a new account already bro @@YasinArfat.
@@firstjermia1654 perhaps
His voice is gorgeous and absolutely perfect for this type of music, I have zero complaints. At least there is an artist this generation who can appreciate old music and has genuine talent.
The lyrics to this song ring true to anyone who has experienced true loss whether it be missing a loved one who is so very far away, old friends who have all moved on in their lives, or the death of one we love and miss dearly.
Most beautiful song I have ever heard.. I can listen to it for 24 hrs straight and sing along to every word.
Stunning rendition of this old standard. I am a total fan of Michael Bublé!
I was born in the early 60’s but even as a kid , this song always has a place in my heart and is still there
"I'll Be Seeing You" is a popular song about missing a loved one, with music by Sammy Fain and lyrics by Irving Kahal. Published in 1938, it was inserted into the Broadway musical Right This Way, which closed after fifteen performances. Michael Buble (and that orchestra) does this one so well!!
Buble really does this song justice. i think its my favorite song pre 50s its so sweet and beautiful
He did a fine job!!! One of my favorite songs and a tear jerker as always!
I love the Glenn Miller style woodwinds in this arrangement. It almost gives a WWII type of character to the song. Michael sings it with style and respect.
God Bless Michael Buble and his effort to keep REAL music alive! I'm 17, and I apologize on behalf of my entire generation for destroying music...
I love Michael Bublé!! He is keeping those wonderful old standards alive and adding his own special touch for a modern feel for today's listeners. Keep up the great work, Michael!! :)
I listen to this during the harshest winters to warm my heart at it's core
This is great... I remembered it from The Notebook and when I read that he covered it, I had to find it. It didn't disappoint. He's an amazing singer.
Desde este instante que oi a Michael B...soy su super fan !!!que precioso canta y con que sentimiento todas esta viejas y preciosas canciones...!!!!! vaya hasta que una persona joven canta estas inolvidables joyas de la musica...
Are you still....?
I wish Michael Buble still sang songs like this...
+Andrew Nguyen me too
He ran out of great songs to cover I’m affraid. His style recently has becoming unbearable. I really miss his old performances
He still has good stuff, what do you mean
Such a wonderful song - we all have these little private chambers in our heart that no one else can know or understand. I'll have these memories tucked away for me only, for me to know and remember when the day comes that I am old and alone, I will have these to keep my soul warm and alive. I wish those days were much further away than they are. Autumn is here, and this is the Winter that beckons no spring
Dennis Hartnett , such a true and lovely sentiment, thank you for putting my feelings into words...maybe a newer spring will arrive for us though!
Theresa Cunliffe What a lovely thought, and as long as love is a possibility, Ill never give up :) - Thanks Theresa!!!
***** Hello, Bart - there's just something about songs like this that make me feel all kinds of wonderful, complex emotions. I'll Be Seeing You, The September Song, If Love Were All, Once Upon A Time, and I'm sure you have your own favorites to add; these are just wonderful, civilized songs that seem to dare us to not let our heart shut down during those times we've all had when no matter what direction you look, loneliness is all that seems to look back your way. If you're interested, write back & I'll tell you a bit more about myself. Dennis
+Dennis Hartnett, don't let your heart shut down, PLS. Live while you're alive....find your JOY. Easily said than done, but its possible.
+Dennis Hartnett. Hello Dennis, can you tell me who sings 'Once Upon a Time' please? I found the others you mentioned and they're lovely but can't find this song here on RUclips. Thank you and greetings from Ireland :)
This song reminds me of the great sacrifice that our troops made during WWII. Thank you Michael for your beautiful rendition.
I'm not that old, but the way he immortalize these classics is just amazing! These is not copying Sinatra's and all of the classics, but re introducing to the youngsters of how good music was back then!
I just can't believe that he exist,he's an angel for my soul,I love his music very much
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever written! It is my mom and dad's favorite song (was my dad's)..................they always danced to it at the Hollywood Paladium. Since my Dad is gone now this song brings many tears to my eyes!
this song is so sad. i love the movie, but its really sad too. cuz when they are old and they are dancing, she finally remembers him and then when he calls her darling she says "why did you just call me darling? who are you? stay away from me." and then she starts screaming for help and noah starts to cry and it just breaks my heart.
I love this song. Reminds me of my parents and the WWI from what I understand and learned how to dance like they did. What an honor.
More like WWII. Written for and sung in 1944 by Bing Crosby.
The most beautiful song reminds me of my parents ; my Mum used to sing this song when she was trying to cope with my Dad’s death, who fought in WW. I and II,
i adore the fact that he seems to sing every song i've ever loved :)
brilliant version
I really love this song and Michael just makes it more beautiful with his soothing voice!
For all the Sweet Angels in Heaven.... I'll Be Seeing You!
nice one and video to
MarcieLuvzMusic that's beautiful
for all our passed loved ones
Michael's voice is pure magic, he can sing anything
Johnny Carson's favorite song. Old World War II classic. Brings tears to your eyes.
im very proud of you teenagers writing on this wall... im 25 and been a fan of Michael since the start, his covers are amazing as well as his original songs. I appreciate this kind of music, even though is not new, its still a breath of fresh air from this videos and so called "music" of this day and age. Sometimes im embarrassed to be from this time period. (plus this song is so romantic)
Used to occasionally sit in with the hotel band at The Philippine Village Hotel, Pasay City, Metro Manila, back in the mid '70's. This was their sign-off number. Great song. Great arrangement. Great singer.
@Butterball121252 that's lovely. My Dad played sax in a dance band so I grew up with all the old tunes that my friends had never heard. I so love Michael and have seen him 3 times now. My Mum likes him and I know my Dad would have too. I just love it that this music lives on and I'm inflicting it on my daughter, nephews, nieces and great niece (aged 5)
"I'll be looking at the moon, but I'll be seeing you." How sweet and wonderful, Michael's the best!
There are so many people i have lost . They passed away . But i dont feeling alone. In my heart and in my soul, there are still with me.
This timeless GEM.. is truly a Love song for the ages and Mr. Buble’ handles it with tender Love and care!!
Simply stunning!! 🌹
Wow, in my book it takes a big man to be able to recognize something like that in himself, and to share it. Thank you!!
I have been listening to this song can’t let it go from my mind, but listening to it Michael Buble put another meaning to it. What a voice. Reminds me of what love should be😢❤
This man has brought romance back into the 21st century OMG he is good love all his songs. He's talented in every way so cute too.
this is wonderful. it gives me the chills. the songs of this era are the best.
This song was full hppe to happen and always been , time can tell he knows best when it happens ,coz ths song is lovely when Michael singing is better you could imagine his voice so cool and sweet mellody.called "I'll be seeing you" is so beautiful
It's the most heartfelt song I ever heard Buble sing!!!
I love these WWll songs they come from
the heart
This was one of my mom and dad’s songs. I lost them both within the last two years: Dad on 11.9.2020 (Covid) and Mom this past May 2022. I miss them so much. This song makes me feel close to them.
Music is music. Those who cherish it will be repayed, they'll be healthier. I'm imagining that most rock-stars these days, whatever....are into drugs, tons of wierd stuff and mostly just performing for fame. Michael Buble performs because he LOVES this stuff as much as anyone listening to him and what a great treat to get someone with that much joy and passion for what he's doing singing as well as he can for all of us. Thanks alot Michael Buble, God bless you :)
It makes me so happy to hear this coming from a modern singer. I've gained so much respect for this man!!
A very melancholic, torchy and longing song...
And what a pure rendition of a classic by Buble!
the senior choir members sang this song at my graduation. it still brings me to tears.
Some of the most beautiful lyrics ever! Just simple words, but so great!
"I'll be looking at the moon, but I'll be seeing you". That says it all!
Queen Latifah did a cover of this for the Oscars and It was mind blowing!!!
Fell In Love With This Song and The singer who now sings (L)
Right candiecane. The Voice is The Voice and Michael is Michael. Both great in their own ways. Why do we always have to compare one to the other? Yes we should all be grateful that Michael is keeping this kind of music alive, hopefully for a few more generations down the road.
hello, People, i'm a metalhead, i listen to melodic death metal, sympho black, death, power.
But i like Michael Buble, i don't listen him such often, anyway i can tell you he's a great singer. Much better than a lot of metal singers. Hail to you, not-metalheads :))
I have always been a huge fan of the oldies, jazz, r&b, and those singers like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. Being 15, you'd probably ask me who am I to say this but I have to tip my hat to Michael. I really appreciate his style and taste in music. He uses that jazzy tune but puts his own little swing in to modernize it. Now, he is one of my musical idols for doing that. Thanks Mike :)
his voice is amazing
Oh my...he's amazing...mature in his voice and delivery beyond belief. Very talented. The world can easily fall in love with him. Thanks for posting.
I grew up listening to my parent's big band music and loving it ... I wish they were still alive to hear Michael's versions of these songs. Listening to him sends chills down my spine ... and makes my heart flutter. Well, that could be my heart murmur, nevertheless, I love his singing, and taking me back in time to when we'd play the old 78s and I'd watch my parents dance and I blushed each time my dad dipped mom. Great memories.
Great song in witch everybode can find themselves at some point in their life...
Wish i was born in '43/ instead of '93, that way i could have been a teenager in the 50's...
I Wish it was on Spotify!!!! Please!!!!
Omg! I love his voice, he has such a classic voice like bing Crosby and frank Sinatra. It's so cool
Thank you Michael for this song. I love it.
I've never heard his version until now. I like it! One of my favorite songs.
Ah hmmm
Thank God for guys like Michael Buble & Harry Connick who actually create music!
a real beautuful song ...love it ...
his voicebabsie is perfect for t his s ong,,,,,sweet as honey is michael.,,,,many thnaks x
I am so glad that a young good singer like Michael Buble is bringing back songs of another era -- a dangerous World of war and misery -- full of romance and nostalgia.
BUBLE will earn the admiration of a genration who lived or was affected by War. The beauty of voices like Vera Lynn, Tino Rossi, Marlene Dietrich, Billie Holiday and all those great singers who sung melodieswhich had to do with wartime and what people felt for each other may teach the younger ones something about romance.
he is the only man in this era of music to have the guts to do Frank Sinatra style music, and be this popular!
AND HES CANADIAN!!!
Whatever you throw back at me just proves it ^^
this song always makes me remember this guy. The small cafe would be the diner he works for and the park across the way would be the park we would lay together and cuddle in. i
So nice song with a nice sound of violin like the sweet voice of M . H . like a sweet music of the heart to play i always think of you
Thank you Michaek for bringing back this beautiful song to the younger generation, Eva
I LOVE BILLIE HOLIDAY!
It's great that people still sing her songs.
A different generation - but the songs are what make this artist so great ! Since the world changed radically after WWI , the talent of that era was in composers of songs that expressed emotions of the heart and allowed people to truly dance TOGETHER! At that time people actually courted with marriage in mind, Thank God that you are seeing peoples choice in music has MIchael bringing back the best of songwriters for us to enjoy !
Michael Buble has sung this song in such a romantic and beautiful manner. It is a timeless song, with a melody that has no expiration date. Songs like this may change the course of romance and fidelity in marriages once again. So many of us can relate to such an era in time. I hope singers will start singing it again on a regular basis.
It is so nice that Mike Buble brought to life a song dating back to WWII times.
Originally by Vera Lynn this song still brings -- to the hearts of those who lived thru the dark days of war -- a longing and tenderness for lost loved one.
God bless you Michael for ressurecting it and presenting it to the younger generation.
a walk down memory lane... sometimes we get caught with our very busy schedules... that we do not have time to 'stop & smell the roses'.. be with our loved ones.. appreciate the simple things in life... I wonder how it would be like if I grow older & don't remember anything about my life anymore... not even recognizing my loved ones... thank you for sharing this beautiful song 'wellingtonpub'.... it makes me think deeply now...
This reminds me so of my dear friend. She was Andes years ahead of me after WW2 had exiring stories about her adventure with the soldiers coming back from the war . Dances and parties !!
As I sat out in this old truck
In the middle of this field.
Rain pouring down , the moon is high, it seems so real..
I see you as I look to my right,
and You're looking back at me, rain pouring down , it feels so right . Rain pouring down, what a perfect night...
Rest sweetly my love. See you again one day.
this is one of Billie Holiday's best songs and Michael Buble did an amazing job re-exposing it to the public. the amount of feeling that is required to sing this song is astounding!
I love Billie Holiday's rendition, by far the best, but the only recording I could find online requires a commercial.
My favorite WWII era song. Michael's copy is lovely. Thank you.
michael i thank lord for ur voice....no artist can take another's place..but ur place exsits in my heart...i love ur songs and your covers...THAN GOD U EXIST
This was Liberace's theme song,. Wonderful song by Michael Buble

Mazel-Barbara Sapiro
I always cry when this song comes on in The Notebook!!! :( . . .Beautiful! x
Love Michael Buble and love this song. Makes me cry!
Ditto. This was the version we played at my mom's funeral. One of her all time favorites.
Linda Moreno
yes, I can see where a person would play that as a tribute to a loved one. It has such feeling and just listening to it again after your reply and in view of the fact that I am dealing with a very difficult medical situation with someone whom I am so close and love made me cry again. This is what makes us human and it is a good thing!
Natalie Rosen So sorry to hear about your loved one's health issues---I can relate to your situation, and wish you both the very best. Music can evoke so many emotions during difficult times, and sometimes it can help us cope a little better.
Linda Moreno
Thank you VERY much!!
Listen to this amazing man at work every day.His songs makes me relax.Love jazz song!
It remembers me of two lovers that war place distances in between them, beautiful song❤❤
My folks song. I almost cry when i hear. They dance in heaven i hope
Timeless, simply timeless!
by far his best cover he's ever done
think of nice times in your life , about beautiful cities , remember the good old times , christmas as you was 7 , the beautiful life , that god gave you . be poetic :)
I don't think this is worst , it's beautiful !
I love it, it always reminds me of the notebook. I wish this kind of music could come back.
I love the way Michael sings this gorgeous song and I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED The Notebook!!!!!! It was such a touching story and I cried my eyes out at the end! My husband grabbed my hand just when I reached for his and we said simultaneously, "that could be us"! I'm also an artist so I really could relate to Rachel McAdams role.
Back to MB's singing; he's immensely talented as a singer/songwriter and as a performer. He'll be still singing for many years to come and I'm so glad he's keeping such
M. Buble' has one of the best versions out there. His voice is so smooth and comforting.
I'm sorry for you. She's in the heaven now. And you must live as long and happy as possible, like your mom!
That’s the way that song should be sung😍
From Mexico... I thought no one would be able to rescue the Sinatra style, but Michael is the voice of stylishly renovated, the clasisimo that pleases everyone because it is romantic, soft that gives freshness to the new generation, who can not feel it was lost in everyday life, who enjoys his humanity welcomes, thanks Buble
I looooooooove this song and all the versions of it !!
Omg, when I hear this song I always think of the Notebook. Gets me teary eyed every time, great rendition< 3
I am proud of this canadian singer. Beautiful song also.
Thanks sherom
