Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time RUclipsr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. I found all this at my Wal-Mart over a week ago and commented to tell ya about it! Hardcandy has a bunch of new products, like new eye paints, multichrome liners, metallic/matte liners, creamy lip slides, wet n wild has new lipsticks and lip oils! Covergirl has a bunch of new at Walmart too! Also elf has all their new stuff including the satin Foundation, liners, bringing drops....they told me they're resetting the entire makeup section!!!!
Oh relove by makeup revolution has a bunch of new stuff too!!!

@maryeckel9682 I'm about an hour and a half from Nashville in a town so small, if u blink u miss it! And a walmart is the only store for 45 min radius! Lol! They've expanded ours!! At first, I thought the brows were too much. But within minutes, I began to really like-and then love-that thicker, bolder look. If anything, you might try the next shade lighter (if it is also cool toned).
Don’t forget the sun hits your forehead the most ☀️the colour on your forehead matching the depth on your cheeks 🥰🤩❤️
A guy I watch said apply it around where you’d wear sunglasses. That was the smartest thing I’d heard! ☺️
I know your brows might look darker, but honestly, they match the darkest tones of your hair so I don't think that it looks bad @ all, Jen!!

Great video with a super product review. You actually look like you are in your '20s❤. Love the brows and eyeshadow. The foundation and concealer are nice. Ty for showing the eyeshadow depth of pigment and no talc, fantastic 🤩🎉💃.

I’m so glad you mentioned that no one is nailing cool undertones! ALL of them are orange! The only brand that does a true cool tone is Bare Minerals and I unfortunately can’t do their new formulas. Clinique kind of nails it, and Natasha Denona had some pinky shades but no longer exist. Nars, Hourglass, Fenty, Huda, you name it, they are all orange. Pradas foundations are ok but the light shades are pinky, and then as they deepen, they go orange, so I have to mix. I literally have no foundations that match me besides the old bare minerals matte foundation in 22 almond. Very frustrating.
Yeah, it's especially annoying if you also only have a drugstore budget and super dry, sensitive skin 😒. I'm currently making do with the Wet & Wild Photofocus Dewy in Nude Ivory. It's not orange, not yellow, nor is it toó pink (that, too, can be an issue). It's the best match I've found in aaaageees, to be fair. Unfortunately, I can't use it a full day because then it'll start to itch & personally, I think that my mature, dry skin doesn't look its best (but to be fair, I think that with most foundations. They seem to emphasize my lines so much). I have 2 other foundations that are great in tone (the Missha Cover up BB Cream in 21C and the Essence Fresh & Fit in Fresh Ivory), but both only work for me when I'm truly tanned - which rarely happens to me.
I'm going to try the much lauded L'Oréal True Match Lumi or the newest E.L.F. I have very little hope, but who knows... If you have other drugstore tips (not US brands as I'm in Europe), I'd love to hear them.
Thank heavens, I finally found some great, affordable cool toned bronzers a few years back (and recently bought 2 new ones to try), because having to deal with the orange on dark yellow there as well was *really* getting to me 😂.
Getting cool toned *cream* bronzers is still a tough search, though. I use predominantly cream products, and while I love my current bronzers, it won't always work together well. And cream looks more natural.
The ELF putty bronzer in the lightest shade is cool. But it's SO cool that it's more a contour. And the pigmentation is meh. The Revolution cream bronzer in the simple compact (that some people claim is a dupe for the Chanel) is the best so far, but its extreme pigmentation can make it a tad hard to work with at times. The rest I've tried is once again mega-yellow or orange, or too dark, or all of the above.
I was considering spending a "little" more and getting the RMS Beauty buruti bronzer that Jen showed recently as it looked so gorgeous. But then I saw its price here....GULP. For me, €69 for a tiny pot of cream bronzer ( so around $77) is ridiculous! 😢 I love makeup, I deserve self- care in any way, shape, or form. But... as I'm sadly on a disability pension, that's just not doable.
Oh well, the drugstore and affordable indie brands are killing it lately, so I just hope my day will come. Well, I guess I should say: OUR day. Because if the drugstore brands finally come up with great cool toned products, the high-end ones that seem to be more your speed will hàve to follow. ;).
Have you tried Korean brands? I’m a cool olive, and almost nothing else matches my skintone.
@ambergerhelper7852 I am addicted to Korean skincare (works better than any of the stuff my skin therapist or dermatologist have ever given me), and I also use their spf and have loads of Korean and Japanese brands' blushes. Foundation is a new try for me. I ordered the Silver TirTir and Zeesea, another Korean brand that's not well known in the West. The TirTir just arrived and I'm still awaiting the Zeesea. Cushion foundation is also new, so I'm curious to see if this is something my super dry skin will like. I do fear they'll turn out too pink, based on the pictures. I'm more of a grey-cool, instead of a pink or peach cool. I did try the Missha Perfect Cover Up BB cream before, but while the undertone of the 21 is perfect (if you're cool-olive you'll love it) and it's nice on skin, it is sadly too drying and too dark, unless I get a major tan - and that almost never happens. If you have any regular liquid foundation tips, preferably hydrating ones, with a cool undertone, I'm all ears. Or eyes 👀 in this case ;). BB creams are also welcome as I don't need full coverage and prefer a more natural look.
Jeffree Star has the best cool undertone products. All i use
@@misssunnydee Have you ever tried the Neutragena Healthy Skin foundation? It’s the smaller glass bottle with the silver cap. They do have some cool tones and some stores have the new displays that actually color code each shade for their undertone, and they do have a couple of good cool shades. It will probably work great for your irritated skin, definitely worth giving it a try!
Love that this beauty company made a quality, affordable line. The blushes and lip products are really pretty and work appropriate colors. Thanks for the swatches 😊😊😊
I still love TheBalm - their Balm Desert blush/bronzer has been my go to for close to eight years now!

My local Walmart just reset their cosmetics section, they expanded e.l.f.'s line up to include most, if not all of their new and/or newest releases, they also added more products from Wet N Wild, Milani, Profusion, and they had a new section for the Pretty Smart cosmetics, I was tempted to try it out but I was waiting to watch a review first so thnx so much Jen! very helpful video 🤗... looking beautiful, as always 😍... hugzzz 💜

NYX has a microbow pencil in grey. ABH and lots of Asian cosmetic companies make them, too. Hope you find something you love!

Your brows look a bit thicker, but that is a plus for me. I am always looking for brow building products that don’t look fake. The fact this is a cool brown is a HUGE plus.

Jen, I have heard you comment on struggling to balance your brows in the past so having the same off set eyes, I created a hack that is game changing. Use a grooming face razor and go to your car! lol. Looking into your visor mirror , intentionally any reflect view of your eyebrows WITHOUT your eyes. It is amazingly easy to focus on creating symmetry and because you are shaving not plucking the hairs, they will grow back faster until you master your desired shape. It’s a game changer ❤

I’ve seen ads for this brand and I’ve been so curious. Also thank you for showing us the bronzer and blush technique! Tried it yesterday and it looked so much better.
There are so many things you are wearing that I’d like to try. Everything but the mascaras. When I saw you in the intro I thought you looked especially good and I think the brows are my favorite!! I like the brows. Love the way your makeup always look so pretty and dare I say it “natural “. So many creators do such heavy looking makeup that looks great but so much like they are wearing a lot of makeup and not realistic for every day wear.

The brows will take some getting used to, I think. Thicker is better, but they're so rounded! I think you look better with more angular, or tapered, brows. But what do I know - it's just an opinion! Love everything else you showed from the new brand!
PS I think the mascaras both look like Elf's Lash & Roll - which I love after 2 or 3 coats.

Hi Jen! Brows are so hard, honestly. That brow gel really did its job but it can be hard to get used to seeing yourself with more brows. It’s a winner to me I think they look nice but you may need a a little more experience with that product and perhaps clean up around the edges.
My rule of thumb no glowy primers but the foundation looked so nice on you. Blushes were beautiful and I might actually buy that bronzer it looked SO good on you.
Finally, very dry mascaras are great for layering mascaras but not everyone wants to go to that much effort.
Final look was very very pretty and youthful. I mean seriously youthful. And very summery. Under $10 will definitely check out.
Finally, finally, I know you don’t use powder much, but on those over glowy days, try putting it on with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. Much less danger of too much powder but takes it down a notch.

so funny...I just watched Emily Noel review of the same brand and she bought the same palette. Love it. I can tell you that in Montreal Canada, I have not seen this brand and probably never will. We are so behind when it comes to cosmetics sometimes.

Regarding, the liquid blush section of the video: medium+ skin tones need options as well that is why at least those are pigmented. The powder blushes are in your words "buildable" which often means it doesn't show up well on darker skin tones and that's ignoring the fact that the tones aren't usable for many medium+ skin tones.
That's not entirely true, dark shades of blush can also be buildable and show up on deeper skin tones by adding layers. The shades that I personally selected are lighter shades for my skin tone, but they do offer deeper shades in the range.

I’m glad that a drugstore brand is made in USA! I don’t buy made in China or Taiwan. I think that the color of the brows look good, but they are so thick that I think they overwhelm your features. Just my 2 cents! Thank you for your thorough reviews and for finding a new brand I never heard of

Please try the pink stain ‘first.’ Maybe it will be more pink if it’s the only color influence you’re wearing. I’m interested!
I was able to completely remove the orange stain from my lips beforehand plus it was red when I swatched it on my hand, not pink. So unfortunately it's not the color I was expecting, but it's still pretty!
