Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time RUclipsr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. On my channel you'll find lots of videos about drugstore makeup and drugstore dupes (those are my favorites to film!) but I also review high-end makeup as well. Yes! But I admit, I did break up the 2 hour Sephora favorites video into 2 segments.
I do the same thing. I watch on TV first and then I will go in my phone when I want to order a product for the drop down. I will fast forward the video until the end so it gives more views and helps the algorithm lol.

I’d love shades in the purple family- like lavender, blue leaning purples and pinks with a cool purple undertone.
Persona has a beautiful purple it’s beautiful with my skin tone. I have been asked what blush I’m wearing. I know it’s not drugstore but they have good sales along with Ulta. There’s other high end brands that have lilacs and purples unfortunately I haven’t found a drugstore one. I hope this kinda helps. I thought I would put my 2 cents in! 😊
@@pennylynn1998 Clinique has a beautiful lilac toned blush in their Cheek pop blush line. It’s a beautiful purple that is very flattering on my very cool and fair skin. I have not seen anything like it at the drug store but Colourpop used to have a stick blush that had a purple shift. Unfortunately, they’ve discontinued it. It really was gorgeous.
I hope this is the year of the purple toned blushes and hope to see more of them. Maybe Jen’s channel will inspire some brands to get on board and create more cool toned lavender, lilac , and other shades of purple in blushes and in lipsticks too!

I have a cool toned skin and very much agree that purple tones look pink on me. I run into foundations looking too yellow on me, even when they say they are cool toned. This makeup look is great on you! I feel like you are getting prettier all the time

That’s so interesting! But also frustrating. Do you think it’s because they’re just not cool enough or because the undertone often isn’t right for you? Like most fair warm shades have a peach undertone, which looks orange on me because my undertone is yellow

I am very fair skinned like you and I have trouble with makeup looking orange on me. Can you do a matte eye look sometime so I can see what palette looks best on our skin tone ? I am older than you and I don’t like that much shimmer on my eyes, a little shine is ok. I am sick of buying palettes that look cool toned but they turn orange. Thank you so much !! I love a thicker gloss, it lasts so much longer on the lips and fills in my lines, so they appear fuller.
Well, now I need that sunscreen. I like the price point too. Great video, and I do love that eyeshadow palette.

If you’re trying all the tinted mineral spf products, try out cetaphil redness relieving daily facial moisturizer with spf 40. It’s almost makeup and a very elegant one. $10-14

I don't know if they still make it but Lottie had a spot-on dupe for Fenty Diamond Bomb for $12.
Thats why i buff my face mKeup when done with a clean fluffy powder brush amd sometimes i add the smallest amount of translucent powder to make my face makeup because it blends it all together
I'd forgotten about Palladio. The blushes are very pretty. On a whim, I tried some blush sticks from Ulta and from af94 and they're surprisingly good! Another gem from Ulta.
The lip gloss looks beautiful on you! I’ve always had to wear purple, plum lipsticks I have a tan complexion with cool undertones and my lips have alot of purplish pigment they turn most lipsticks into weird colors lol so I stopped trying ,and love my purple tones 💜💜💜

@@JenPhelps, also the lip gloss! Although I am 64, we have the same coloring, and I’ve also gotten really into more purple, mauve, tones to find the right match for my pale pinky-blue skin. Far more flattering than straight-up pink.
I’ve never really been interested in trying Morphe products, but I might have to rethink things. That eyeshadow is gorgeous!! Also, that lipgloss is beautiful. Thanks, Jen, for another great video!!❤

Hi Jen, I actually bought the Bumble sunscreen just not the tinted one and I loved it 😍 so I bought another one as backup. Yup this one is great. And about the Outerbanks show my husband and I watched the whole thing it’s a great show! Teen friendly but adult worthy too. Love it. I recommend it to everyone.

this pink trend is NOT working with my cool fair skin, so thank you for recommending purple blushes and lip products; im excited to try it out! fabulous as always jen!!!
My favorite cool blush is the Persona powder blush in "Jam". It's a very purple-toned burgundy and it is GORGEOUS. Looks so much better on my cool toned fair skin than a lot of the cool pink blushes do. It's very pigmented so you have to do it with a light hand, but its wonderful. Highly recommend!

The Outer Banks description really made me think of The Outsiders! 👀Also that blue shirt looks great with your blue eyes! I almost only wear cool tones, myself, but more bc it brings out the warmth in my skin tone/brown eyes 💙

I saw the morphe palette and was so close to getting it but didn’t cause I have all those colors.. might have to check out the Bubble sunscreen.. I too love all tinted sunscreens, makes it easier to not use foundation

The shadow reminds me of the color pop 11:11 palette.
A little bit! The Morphe palette rosy tones are a little more cool toned/pink, while the Colourpop are more peachy and warm. :)

The tinted Bubble sunscreen is my fav! Walmart also carries it in store. It reminds me of the Elta MD UV elements spf 40 (old formulation).
I never tried the Elta but that's good to know!
Well now I'm even more sold! Tinted EltaMD has been my holy grail for years! Jen has influenced so much if my sunscreen in the last two years.
I've never heard anyone say that about pinks leaning more coral but that happens to me all the time. I'm excited to try a purple blush now! Definitely trying the sunscreen and setting spray. You're the best beauty youtuber by a mile!
I must say I always watch to the end. I love your videos Jen, your opinion matters and you’ve never steered me wrong! I absolutely loved the “snowy” scenery of your yard you included in the winter and wonder if you might be able to do the same for the other seasons?

Heard great things about the Elf mist spray. The Lottie bronzer drops I’m actually considering bc I don’t the overdone powdered bronzer as contour look but a Uber light overall hint of color would be nice I think. Thoroughly enjoyed this video Jen. Great presentation with good products!

Thank you for the new and updated drugstore products. I will try the sunscreen, and Padilio blush and morphe new eye shadow palette. They look appealing, but wasn't sure it was.

Morphe eyeshadow the warm tone is creamy, no fallout. I bought it on a whim. The best I’ve ever used. I tend to buy very high. I want to go back and buy all the pallets before they discontinue them. Lol

I’m sure many ppl agree, one reason why your content slaps is because of your unique ways of delivering it and your ability to evolve your platform seamlessly. So glad you reviewed the Palladio blushes! I got those same two shades in January and thought you would like them. It went under the radar when it released so I'm glad more people will know about them now bc they're really good.
I'm not a setting spray person after trying many and never liking them, but I love the new elf one. It feels like nothing when I spray it on, but you can see the beautiful finish it gives and keeps my makeup looking freshly applied all day.

I love your channel. I love that you are not sponsored. I did want to ask if you have seen the Jen Loves Reviews on Doll 10? I felt like people who use the brand should be aware of the misinformation the brand is giving out regarding sunscreen and the use of retinol. I was shocked. You are so sincere I felt like it might be something you should look into before promoting their brand going forward.
That sunscreen looks good!! I have struggled to find a mineral sunscreen that isn’t greasy.
Ive been loving the Elf powergrip spray as well...i spray before and after makeup, spray my brushes with it etc...im a sucker for a good hydrating prep, setting spray. Enjoy the video as always! Gunna check out the sunscreen too😊❤❤
