    When I was a child 6-7 yrs old (1969) my dad would bring home a fir tree to celebrate Christmas and we would decorate the Christmas tree with ornaments and lights; then surrounded by gifts at the bottom of the tree. I recalled at BSP (Brunei Shell Petroleum), they flew in Santa Claus in an army helicopter on the field. He would exit the copter with presents. However, it was a British colony then not until it was turned over in 1984. Memories....

      I'm there now for Christmas with my Son, Daughter in Law and Grandsons. Who are part of the Garrison. Thanks for watching and your memories.

    My first time visiting Bandar Seri Begawan was in 2019. Have relatives on my husband's side. Peaceful country. Still lush green wherever you go. Kuching where I'm from used to be green like that but now not much. Our roads are congested but definitely more things to do in terms of shopping. Brunei food is cheaper than Singapore. People are friendly. Interesting signboards in Jawi (Malay words written in Arabic characters).

      I went to Kuching many years ago, and I really liked it. I must go back someday. I find Brunei to be friendly and peaceful. Many thanks for watching and commenting

    In previous life used to fly into Brunei to pick up those involved in Jungle Warfare.
    Liked the people, and still regard the British with fond memories.

    I suggest you get in contact with the embassy instead of immigration (if you haven’t, of course). You will have a much better chance of getting a response and any additional support that you might need to get a visa here. Cheers!

      Thank you. We've given up on the idea now. Staying in Malaysia for now but possibly heading to the Philippines in the future.

    Is it a possibility that you could live in Brunei full time?

    • @SilverfoxJB
      @SilverfoxJB  2 года назад +3

      I'm sure there is a way, but it probably involves more money than I have nowadays. And in reality, where we are now is easier to live in. Many more facilities.
