The highest priority skillset for the Afghan Air Force A-29 Super Tucano pilots is the effective execution of close air support (CAS). Pilots are trained to employ rockets, precision-guided bombs, general purpose bombs, and strafe. It will employ a variety of weapons to do this mission: .50 cal machine guns, 2.75 inch rockets, 250 and 500 pound general purpose and guided bombs. I just don't understand what this a29 wants to do against of the f4-f5 or su24-mig21 or anti air fighters sam6 or others , I am not talking about modern systems , let's talk about 60-70 years ago technology .
