@@deepydeeps glad i can help!
That harness is crazy
Lots of wires that's for sure but at least it's plug n play, no cutting required!
Love your s2k installations. Did my radio cover this would be next project
Thanks, i appreciate it!
This is clutch
Thanks! Glad it helped
I need both the dci and pnp harness for this correct? Their site only lets you pick one or the other..frustrating. Good video though
you technically only need the pnp harness, but if you want to use the dashboard controls then yes the dci is needed. To order the dci and harness together you need to go to modifry.com and then click electronics and then on DCI and then there's a dropdown that allows you to choose your headunit and then another dropdown menu that allows you to choose your harness. I would order asap because modifry is shutting down at the end of the year. Hope that helps.
Stupid question, You have the DCI, the wiring harness and scv wiring kit? Not quite sure what is needed?
@@KevoF06 hey, i only have the DCI, and wiring harness. I don't have the SCV kit. The DCI and SCV kit are not required for this install. They are just 'nice to have' accessories.
For me the radio door would hit the knob when opening/closing (got an older AP2), while that didn't seem to have much effect on it working, it was mildly annoying. The Bluetooth had some issues, too, I think it wouldn't reconnect for a few minutes if I just sat in the car listening to music and then started the engine. Got an older Kenwood instead, seems to work much better
The brackets on the radio likely just need to be readjusted to a different hole. The door is supposed to close completely. Kenwood is a great brand too so you can't go wrong with either.
Hey man, would I be able to just swith out the headunit with the OEM one without any of the harness/modules if I dont care to use the buttons on the lefg side of the dash? Modifry seems to beout of everoything right now and I really just want a headunit with bluetooth that I can connec with.
Hey, the dci is not needed for install. You can do without it. However The PnP harness is highly recommended. It makes the install a lot easier. You may find some used harnesses for sale. You will need some sort of harness to connect the oem harness to the new headunit. Some audio shops may be able to assist
Appreciate the response man. Thank you.
I’m so blown I waited too long to buy, I didn’t think it would end fml
@@1nvd i think the owner of modifry was looking for someone to take over the business. Hopefully someone takes over!
@@espadamedia I really hope so
My dci for the alpine didn’t work or I may have skip a step I need help …
for alpine, make sure the switches on the back of the DCI is set to 1 = OFF, 2 = OFF, 3 = ON, 4 = ON
