Woc exhaust sounds so good 😂 what exhaust it is
@@setsuna_y HKS hipower dual exhaust. The k&n FIPK intake adds a lot to the sound too
Stupid question, You have the DCI, the wiring harness and scv wiring kit? Not quite sure what is needed?
@@KevoF06 hey, i only have the DCI, and wiring harness. I don't have the SCV kit. The DCI and SCV kit are not required for this install. They are just 'nice to have' accessories.
I think I’ve seen your si near Brampton lol
@@sohrabnayyar i sold the si 3 years ago. Maybe the new owner lives in brampton haha
Has the fuel mileage been affected by the exhaust?
I don't think an exhaust would effect fuel mileage, at least on this car. When I was tuned with intake, dp, and exhaust, i didn't really notice a change in fuel mileage. I also beat on the car a lot.
@@espadamedia thank you very much for letting me know. I appreciate the quick responses and good quality content. Subscribed!
Nice video. Have you checked out any of the Japan based websites like rhdjapan for spoon parts? They are priced alot cheaper than our north american distributors.
Thanks for this 👍🏻
@@deepydeeps glad i can help!
What trim level is this?
@@legokid-_-6902 touring
Do you mind providing future updates in the comment section when you notice the mounts settling down? Or sometime in the far far future when you notice them needing to be replaced?
For sure!
Mounts don't settle down just get oem
@@iivv_nn ehhh the problem with OEM mounts are that they are fluid filled and according to DIYGuys the fluid is what causes the durability issues. And according to his research buying eBay mounts are a better substitute than OEM mounts for a fraction of the cost, but you may have fitment issues. I can't confirm whether the spoon mounts are fluid filled or not but from what I've read on s2ki the rubber is stiffer and thicker and therefore should prevent tears. I've only ever heard great things about the spoon mounts. Yes the best mounts for comfort would be OEM but who buys a s2000 for comfort? For long term durability and for a more engaging driving experience, the spoon mounts are the way to go, but that's just my opinion
Nice 👍
For me the radio door would hit the knob when opening/closing (got an older AP2), while that didn't seem to have much effect on it working, it was mildly annoying. The Bluetooth had some issues, too, I think it wouldn't reconnect for a few minutes if I just sat in the car listening to music and then started the engine. Got an older Kenwood instead, seems to work much better
The brackets on the radio likely just need to be readjusted to a different hole. The door is supposed to close completely. Kenwood is a great brand too so you can't go wrong with either.
Thanks for this video. Have the exact same car and this video is a godsend.
No prob! Glad i could help
This shit comes in manual? 🤦
Yessir. It's a rare find
@@espadamedia oh okay, I don't feel so bad now
I have the same knob on mine, thanks for the video, i didn't remember how to remove that center console.
no prob, thanks for watching!
My dci for the alpine didn’t work or I may have skip a step I need help …
for alpine, make sure the switches on the back of the DCI is set to 1 = OFF, 2 = OFF, 3 = ON, 4 = ON
Love your s2k installations. Did my radio cover this would be next project
Thanks, i appreciate it!
i feel that dyno was reading high at the time with that setup, ive seen fbo go 200 tops and this only has some bolt ons
Every dyno reads differently. It's probably closer to 203-204whp tbh. I also had a fresh set of sparkplugs put it in. Honestly this car would walk WRX's on a roll, so In the end I was pretty happy with the tune, regardless of what the sheet said
Does anyone know, would the fullrace catted downpipe work with the 3inch yonaka exhaust? I don't want to go cattless because I don't care to go catless, and I don't want to deal with the CEL's or anything. I just want a setup that's better performing, sounds good. I like the Yonaka too because the drone isn't too awful, and it's pretty tame driving normal, but sounds good when you give it the beans.
Any downpipe and exhaust will work together but i think the fullrace will still show a CEL because of the larger diameter. If you want a downpipe that doesn't throw a CEL then get a RV6 catted
@@espadamedia is there a way to combat the cel?
@@robertgardner4508 flashpro. You can run base map or get tuned. Honestly the fullrace isn't worth it unless you plan on getting tuned. Car may run even worse without a tune. It's .5" larger than the stock downpipe
@@espadamedia I plan to get a Hondata for my car and tune it just to open her up
@@robertgardner4508 nice! Then ya definitely go with the fullrace. It's worth the hp gains
Hey man, would I be able to just swith out the headunit with the OEM one without any of the harness/modules if I dont care to use the buttons on the lefg side of the dash? Modifry seems to beout of everoything right now and I really just want a headunit with bluetooth that I can connec with.
Hey, the dci is not needed for install. You can do without it. However The PnP harness is highly recommended. It makes the install a lot easier. You may find some used harnesses for sale. You will need some sort of harness to connect the oem harness to the new headunit. Some audio shops may be able to assist
Appreciate the response man. Thank you.
I’m so blown I waited too long to buy, I didn’t think it would end fml
@@1nvd i think the owner of modifry was looking for someone to take over the business. Hopefully someone takes over!
@@espadamedia I really hope so
I need both the dci and pnp harness for this correct? Their site only lets you pick one or the other..frustrating. Good video though
you technically only need the pnp harness, but if you want to use the dashboard controls then yes the dci is needed. To order the dci and harness together you need to go to modifry.com and then click electronics and then on DCI and then there's a dropdown that allows you to choose your headunit and then another dropdown menu that allows you to choose your harness. I would order asap because modifry is shutting down at the end of the year. Hope that helps.
That harness is crazy
Lots of wires that's for sure but at least it's plug n play, no cutting required!
This is clutch
Thanks! Glad it helped
Question about the rearview mirror: did it come with an adaptor to mount to the S2000's unique bracket?
the new mirror attaches to the s2000 mirror. It comes with an elastic type band to mount the new mirror onto the oem s2000 mirror
*Promo SM* 🌹
Link to camera?
Think this would work in an evo 8/9?
this is the camera i bought. you can just search up "rear view mirror reverse camera" on amazon www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B071WC3YGL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@tensions6109 Ya i would think so. The process of installation should be the same. For a four door car you will likely have to remove some of the bottom trim to fish the wire from the rear of the car to the front.
Wheels specs?
17x9 +45, not sure of the tire size
Bro it sounds amazing, I’m a little late to the party but if you are or if you know anyone selling a fullrace catted downpipe please let me know Or send me a dm😭 They discontinued them and I’m left with no other options
I have a fullrace catback and people have been saying the rv6 paired with it sounds horrible, not sure cuz I have yet to hear it myself
@@ericksanchez9518 if you're looking for catted, RV6 is a great option as well, only downside it's 2.5". Fullrace is definitely the best option but it's hard to come by in the used market. Are you in Ontario, Canada? I may know someone selling one
😍😍😍😍😍😍
This has to be Brampton
You are correct 😂
Haha. Sick vid nonetheless 👍
nice setup what are the wheels and specs? suspension etc..
Hey man, this is my Type R. Wheels are 18x9.5 +38 and it’s on swift springs. Wheels will be for sale next week actually
Hey man, I have a ktune 3” catless downpipe rn and I daily drive my si and also track it part time and honestly my ears have given up and im planning on putting on the full race catted down pipe to hopefully lower the drone! From this video this has given me hope to give up on my 3”
The fullrace dp will still have a bit of drone but it won't be as bad as the catless. You also won't need hearing aids in the future if you go catted lol. The fullrace is also 3" so you'll still have the max performance gains from a 3" dp.
Did he have any droning?
Once you change the downpipe on a 9th gen there will 100% be drone. I've experienced most dp's, both catted and catless and they all drone, even with the stock exhaust. The fullrace catted or the rv6 catted aren't too bad when it comes to drone but it will still have drone. Of course going catless is even worse
Compared to when I had the invidia n1 and full race catted dp using full race exhaust is like stock inside the cabin if your just cruising.
I think those connectors are better than electric tape lol
Connectors are definitely better than tape but the connectors shown in the vid were not great. They were supplied with the camera and wouldn't even splice through the wire. If you buy better connectors separately then it should have no problem splicing through. I plan on cleaning up the wiring in the summer time.
thanks for doing this, Im about to do this install
@@hy2473 No prob!
Very well done! The FK8 is a modern-day classic that will only get more appreciated as time goes on.
Thanks! Agreed, it's a great car!
Great job 👏 👍 👌 🙌
Thanks!
@@espadamedia your welcome
Simple and clean - damn she look good. What brand are the carbon fenders and hood?
I believe it's carbon creation fenders and seibon hood or vice versa lol. Owner is wotlesss_fk8 on ig if you wanna ask him
My Dad just brought a 2015 Honda Civic Si coupe. Great car.
Nice! I used to own one as well. I regret selling it
Shits clean my brotha🧼 Where’d you get the clear tails & headlights from?
Hey are you on Instagram? The owner's ig is wotlesss_fk8 you can ask him where he got them from
I have rev9 catback and it only makes deep tone sound around 3k to 4k rpm then to 5k it’s completely gone, idk why is that
That's normal for 9th gens. Seems to have a lot of 'drone' around 3-4k rpms. A lot of hondas are like that actually, not sure why
How do you like the rev o. Im considering it myself, heard its a clone of the full race. I have a 2013 ilx 2.4 premium, if it fits the fby sedan it should fit my ilx too
Show us suhks two step!
do you have a rear mount? if so, is it 62a or 70a?
i have the hasport 70a installed. i bought it used so it was already broken in but if you buy the mount brand new, there will be a lot of vibrations until broken in
I’m bout to have an extremely similar set up, already in progress. Well done man
Would a methanol kit help with this build if so how I’m curious
Yesssssss 🙌🏻 I just bought this car and I’m 32, I wrestled with going back to a Honda but said screw it. Not doing much to it and definitely don’t want it to be loud, this is legit exactly what I’m looking for OR the Q300 exhaust but either way definitely getting the catted down pipe
q300 is great as well but the midpipe hangs really low so if you lower your car it scrapes a lot more than then fullrace. good luck on your search!
And what intake you got
prl 3.5" short ram
Honest review is this set up loud and raspy and do I have to get a rear mount when I do this set up
Nah it's not raspy. if you go catless then it'll be raspy. This setup is pretty tame and only gets loud when you really push it pass 3500rpms. I used to have the Invidia N1 and my fullrace is a lot quieter compared to that setup. The N1 was stupid loud. I have another video on my channel if you want to see how the fullrace sounds on the outside. And yes you'll definitely need a rear mount for any 3" downpipe, it's needed or else the downpipe will crack.
@@espadamedia when you had the n1 did you have the stock downpipe or no and how much louder was the n1 compared to the set up you have now
@@loweredstreetculture7033 i had the stock downpipe with the n1, it was a long time ago but if i recall it was louder than my fullrace dp and exhaust.
@@espadamedia alright any other mods on ur civic?
@@loweredstreetculture7033 intake, dp, exhaust and stage 1 clutch+flywheel
It took me a minute to realize your in Kmph. I was like 70 mph in second gear is not even possible, why? Lol smh haha
Lol maybe if i was boosted
What mic setup you using on the GoPro?
The gopro built-in mic
That is actually quite tame. Pretty much what I am looking for. How's the drone on the highway?
The drone isn't too bad. It still drones around 3500rpm but it's bearable. I have another video on my channel where you can hear the in-cabin noise. I used to have an Invidia N1 and drone was horrible.
That actually sounds amazing, any intake/manifold changes on the car in the video?
Thanks! Intake is a PRL short ram with stock manifold
do u need tune with exhaust and downpipe?
If you have a rv6 dp then no a tune isn't needed right away. If you have a fullrace or any other 3" dp then yes you need a tune or else you'll have a check engine light. You can run a hondata reflash or I always recommend getting professionally tuned. You also NEED a rear motor mount for any 3" downpipe. This will prevent your dp from cracking.
