As another wheelchair user in Alaska, Thank You! I'm 56, never been on a vacation, but you give me motivation to take my daughter somewhere fun. This is very encouraging for wheelchair users.
I’m a wheelchair user and my wife and I are going to Disney World this December. We are two kids in our mid sixties and have never been. This video has been helpful and increased my excitement. Thank you.
Love soaring we go on it each time we go to Epcot! My mom loved Mexico and we ate there every time we were at Epcot growing up ! I love manatees too you can go snorkeling with them not sure at Disney but other places in Florida like homasass springs!
02:20 Minnie Mouse cupcake cups. Do they sell packs of those cupcake cups at any resort store, so guests can have some for use at home when making cupcakes? 02:28 Steak for breakfast I've never heard of that till now either. Steak for lunch or dinner, sure, but not breakfast. 03:07 Sean's idea of breakfast would be a LARGE dinner for me. Gem, you as well, having a lunch or dinner size and style meal for breakfast ?? Daisy's breakfast is more my size. My usual breakfast is a bowl of breakfast cereal, and a mug of coffee. 06:26 Daisy has the right idea, an umbrella. Before becoming disabled, and needing the rollator walker to help get around, I'd _always_ have a compact fold-up umbrella in my bag for keeping the sun off, at any time of year. 06:52 This part of EPCOT reminds me a lot of how the English Quarter was at Pacific Fair shopping centre in Broadbeach, back in late 1970s after the centre had opened. 08:44 Soarin' Around The World That 4D ride is one I'd definitely want to go on. Your reactions to being that close to such a huge screen and gorgeous travelogue, reminds me a lot of how the IMAX cinema felt to me at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast when it first opened in the early 1980s. edit: pressed post too early 12:53 Living With The Land Slow, educational ride, looks interesting. I like that it's an easy roll-on-roll-off ride with no need for transfers. 14:42 Having grown up in Southport on the Gold Coast, visiting the aquarium park, Marineland on The Spit, was a routine fixture of my early childhood. When its competitor, Sea World opened in the early 1970s further along The Spit, it was a bit bigger and glitzier, but honestly nothing I'd not seen dozens of times by then at Marineland, so I only ever went to Sea World twice. Thinking about going to a marine aquarium park now, I would have to use my wheelchair to access it. 15:05 The Seas with Nemo And Friends Not a ride that really interests me. 17:14 The aquarium The huge windows here are brilliant, they are a vast improvement on the small slit-like windows that Marineland and Sea World had, decades ago. 21:19 Mickey Pretzel with salty cheese dip. My tastebuds are curling up and saying NO at the mere thought of such a salty tasting snack. 22:44 This part of the Mexico pavilion brings back memories of walking through The Cascades water garden at Broadbeach as a child. 23:57 Sean, that hat suited you really well 24:11 Gran Fiesta Tour This is a ride I definitely _WANT_ to go on! It's cool how they really make it feel like outdoors riding in a boat, at night, inside a ride building in the daytime. 27:24 Spaceship Earth The spot where you seemed stuck, was that a planetarium? 29:25 Guardians of the Galaxy Wish we could have seen some of the setup of the ride. 31:29 Earth Wind And Fire - September I still have the 7inch single of it :) 32:06 Summer storm brewing Hopefully not much lightning, just plenty of rain 33:40 Space 220 OK, that elevator ride is very effective in looking like how an actual space elevator would look like The hydroponics setup looks very believable, till you notice what's missing. No access ways for workers to install prepared trays of produce, or harvest them. The video wall 'windows' are effective in making it look like an orbital restaurant. To do this for real, video walls inside the restaurant would have to be linked to cameras on the outside for a realtime video feed. The huge fool size windows in the artwork of the station are too much of a meteorite strike decompression risk. Thanks very much for the warning about the aircon at the restaurant. That makes the restaurant a total no go zone for me. :( The cold air from the aircon would _immediately_ trip off my asthma cough, and I'd be spending the following week and a half recovering from it being triggered. 44:04 Journey Of Water A water park like this, is somewhere I could happily spend time at of an evening. Interactive, entertaining, and relaxing. Thanks very much for the day 4 vlog Gem, I'm looking forward to seeing the next one. :)
28:30 am I imagining it, or is it Dame Judi Dench doing the narration in the Europe bit of Spaceship Earth? If not then Disney found an awesome voice-alike!
When I was at Epcot that I really enjoyed it way more than magic Kingdom that I haven't really got to eat at the restaurant where you're in space where you were at it was probably maybe still under construction as same with the guardians of the Galaxy ride and I really enjoyed going on mission space and really enjoyed the drummers and the Japanese pavilion at the world showcase.
Morning Gem we are getting our first ever vlog done Sara has nearly completed our travel day and my niece has done two days I think? It’s getting closer and we can soon show it!😀👨🏻🦽✈️🇺🇸
Can I ask why you didn’t bring your batac? I am trying to plan a Disney land trip for my 21st birthday next February! Also do you feel you went for a good amount of time? Thank you 😃
I have a Question, for Shaun or Whoever, Answers. What is a typical Breakfast in Australia?..I've Always wanted to know. But i keep hearing, different verions.
There is no single breakfast that pretty well everyone here in Australia has. Some folks are like me, breakfast cereal and coffee. Others, it's fried egg, toast, and tea. Or like Daisy, muesli and fruit juice. There is simply so _much_ variation in what people have, that there is no one-size-fits-all description of breakfast in Australia.
Gem your holiday looked great, we had a great holiday in Florida as well, just a question can you do you earn money from Instagram? I have never understood Instagram my brain is to messed up! ☹️👨🏻🦽❤️
