If i won the loterry my dead relatives would come back to life
Yeah
Well for one I'm paying off any remaining rent that I got, start investing in a company stocks and bonds you know, planning my retirement early and maybe if I have leftovers I'll just treat myself
@@bowlooatmeal1428 I don't think that's possible my brother
I don't want to win no lottery, the lottery ain't worth it and bad things happen people
Moral of the story: Whether you're low- or high-profiled, always keep yourself low-profiled.
Common sense dammm
This. If you advertise having a lot of money vultures will soon show up.
Abraham Shakespeare should have been on this list. He won the lottery in 2006 and then was murdered by his financial advisor, Dee Dee Moore, in 2009. He quite literally lost all as he lost his life.
Yeap, didn't they bury him under the driveway and try an convince the cops that he just "left her the money and disappeared"?
@@yungkidnf It was under his back yard, but yes that's pretty much what happened.
It’s because he still had a lot of money when he got taken out. These people blew their money.
@@datsapaddlin True, but he was being robbed of the rest of his money by Dee Dee Moore. The reason he was murdered was because he found out about it. He lost both his money and his life because of her.
RUclips would probably demonetized them for talking about actual murder
About 15yrs ago, I met a man who won over £5 million. He says it was the worst thing he had ever done. He told me that he gave some to friends & family, but they just kept on coming back for more. And “friends “ who he hadn’t seen for over 20-30 years suddenly appeared and was like” don’t you remember me, we used to be best mates at school”, and begged him for money. He told me he had to move away to start a new life. I actually felt sorry for him. Money does bring good things into your life, but I think it will also bring a lot of problems. If I won the lottery, I would definitely keep very quiet about it and never go public!
I'm not ashamed to admit that i don't have any Friends. Don't need them. So, i would be the first, who would kick those so called "long-lost Friends" back to where they came from!
Wins lottery: *I want it all*
Loses every thing: *Another one bites the dust*
I live for the Queen references!
i see what ya did there lol
My mother in law's ex friend won $1 Million in the lottery a decade ago. She bought a nice house and leased a Benz. She she retired and spent all that money in a short period of time. Now she's lost the house and car and has to work odd jobs just to take care of her and her kids. The lesson here is to be smart with your money. If the money's not working to make more money then don't spend it on extravagant items.
My grandpa in law, same thing but he only won 800,000 as he had to split it with a few people and no one knows what he blew it on as it all disappeared after buying a modest house and new Lincoln town car. It’s amazing how quickly you can spend that money
@@JoeFpoc Well if he had to split it with just 3 people that means after taxes he would have walked away with something like 200,000. So depending on when he won that wouldn't go very far. if it was in the last 20 years it would have just about covered the house and car.
What I don't understand is why SO many lottery winners use a freaking mortgage to buy a house! WTF?! If I won just $1 million, I'd go for annual payments when collecting the winnings but I'd try to buy the house outright so I can still hang on to the house. I am not getting a mortgage on it! It blows me away that some win big and are making monthly payments on TWO houses. Gee, one monthly mortgage is bad but two is just retarded. No wonder they lost all their money AND the house(s)...
"Winning the lottery was the worst thing that ever happened to me."
- Some Guy Somewhere
😭😭😭
If you truly hate someone, buy him/her a lottery ticket.
If I won the lottery, I'd make sure I get to remain anonymous.
Some states have it to where that's not possible, which is ridiculous, but luckily I live in a state where that's not the case.
I would also choose the yearly payment option over the lump sum.
Finally, I would not buy a big mansion or super expensive cars, I would buy a normal house and invest some of my money into different things, so I'd have a chance to potentially make more money.
Buying super expensive things not only draws attention, but people always forget you have to pay taxes on those things.
I can't tell you how many times I've heard stories of people buying mansions or other luxurious items with their winnings, only to lose them because they couldn't afford the taxes.
What’s hard to obtain is harder to maintain
Reminds me of that extreme home makeover show. I'm pretty sure I read that literally 2/3 of those homes go up for sale within 3 years because of increased costs of taxes and maintenance.
I mean..... Can you do that
This is a good idea. Everyone has seen those lottery nightmare stories and they are a case study for what NOT to do when you win something that will change your life. See a good financial advisor (ones with a good reputation) and see what they can provide to help.
I’m shocked Abraham Shakespeare is not on here. He was killed by a friend in 2009. Who lives in his house and told the press that he was in the islands not wanting to be bothered.
I think Abraham still had a ton of money at the time he was murdered. That's why he wasn't included in the list. This top 10 is about lottery winners who spend all their winnings.
Yea that was a sad & crazy story for sure ‼️
That wasnt his friend, and his story is heartbreaking
@@greenlandium1543 got ya
Not just a friend; he hired her as his financial advisor, and she thanked him by stealing his winnings and murdering him.
I hope she's regularly getting the shit beaten out of her in prison.
The welcome never gets old
Glad to hear it!
If I won the lottery I'm going to tell them to keep it a secret. First thing that can destroy you are friends and family.
In some states, it's in the law that you can remain anonymous. I live in one of those states, and that is what I will choose to do if I win. Having said that, that might not be the case if I don't show up for work after the winning jackpot is announced.
@@fromthehaven94 Lol people might find out. But the first biggest mistake people make is to just spend and party away all the money. You can live life as you normally do and in the mean time decide a smart approach to use the money. You could invest in a business, send yourself back to school to further educate yourself (study business or a dream you want to pursue). I get the fact that most people would want to spend and give friends money but that just isn't smart. Stay anonymous, be smart and use money wisely and in a year or two that million could become a billion. You could even live life as usual and put away the money for when you reach retirement age that way you don't have to rely on your children, matter a fact they could rely on you. They're are just so many possibilities, I wish I had the chance to win a couple millions or a billion dollars damn.
Only the problem is there’s gonna be signs
The title should be dubbed: “Top 10 People who can’t handle money right”
Right! I saw E! True Hollywood story of “Curse of the Lottery.” It should’ve been named “Curse of making the wrong choices.”
These people try to live like billionaires when they win millions 😂.
When u never had money, you don't know how to have money
@@GR-nz3om that’s not true for every individual
@@datsapaddlin well no. No one thing is true about everyone. It's speaking in generalities to make a point. It's a relatively common thing for lottery winners who were impoverished to be broke before they croak.
@@GR-nz3om Some people are just more irresponsible than others. Such is life.
it doesnt matter how much money you get if you dont know how to be responsible and manage your own wealth,
If I were to win the lottery (let’s say 1 million dollars) I would do this:
Use a portion of the money (ex: 10,000) to spend on myself. Put the rest in savings and paying the bills/payments
Don't forget invest
Index funds and real estate. Don’t keep it in savings. Inflation will only decrease your money in the bank
Investments are better... Dividend Stocks.
Also note that $1 million would be around
$600,000.00 after taxes.
Many retirees make good passive income with dividend stocks.
you dont want to "save" but instead you should "invest" its good to have savings to fall back on in an emergency but dont leave extra cash just sitting around for inflation to de-value it
I would just invest a lot of my lottery winnings to be honest.
Without having people know about it.
For real I’ll just put most of it in s&p 500 and just live off the dividends
“It’s nice to be rich in money, but it’s even better to be rich in love.”
- My grandmother
yeah kinda agree, the problem is i can't pay my bills with being rich in love :D
@@cartman19892 yeah I know, but it helps get through the tough days
I would invest a large amount of my winnings so that my children would be taken care of when I'm gone.
Smart move
I seen a lot of movies and tv show where children kills their parents for their money. I be cautious even If they are your relatives.
@@Krypton853 That's the advantage of a living trust, takes away the motivation to wack the parents to get the money....Since they get the same amount over time ether way.
I once bought a 20$ lottery ticket and won around 500$.

Idk man I'd be very happy if I could buy something I'd longed for years now and that's a small house in the country away from most people. One of my cousin's bought a home in Nevada 15 miles away from the nearest city and she said the peace and quiet was just perfect
That ironic moment when I get a lottery add before a video about lottery winners who lost everything lmaoooo
16 years old and how much spent on cocaine bf's very bad influence.
Imagine being married and your spouse wins the lottery then divorces you right after, then you find out about it, you take them to court and the judge gives you all of their winning 🤯😭
Everyone watching this video:
"This would never happen to me"
"At 16 you just a child and dont understand the concept of money" "she ask for the age to win lottery to he raised"
Me seeing a video of dumb adultos losing it all at every age👀
But responsible enough to drive apparently.
I don't feel bad at all for Denise Rossi. She let greed get the best of her. She chose money over her husband and didn't even share it with him. And then, karma bit her on the rear end when the judge awarded the entire winnings to the husband. Maybe next time she won't be so greedy and selfish.
One thing people don’t realize is is how much having a lot of money costs. Seriously the taxes, insurance, management and bank fees alone could make it all go away.
number 1 thing i would not due is stand in front of all the media saying I won the lottery. It puts an instant target on your back!
If I won the lottery I've decided that I spilt the winnings 4 ways
1/4 goes directly into my savings account in case of emergencies
2/4 goes to investments
3/4 goes to my family and charity
4/4 is for my pleasure (most likely a nice vacation)
That's what people say all the time but when the time comes the greed gets to them.
Unfortunately every state doesn’t allow you to conceal you identity🤦🏾♂️
Which is funny because you'll stumble to plenty of comments saying that they would be anonymous.
Yet if that's the case, then there wouldn't be a video like this now would there? 😂
Disappointed that this list didn’t include the poor guy in FL who lost his life to a “friend” after winning the lottery 😢
My husband and I have a plan should we ever win the lottery.
First pay off our debts. The only debts we have are mortgage and student loans.
Second never touch the money. Invest it in consumer dividend stocks, mutual funds and high yield interest accounts.
Whatever we earn, 50% goes to taxes and health insurance, 25% needs to be reinvested to make up for inflation, and we live off of the remaining 25%. Consider it our annual salary.
The husband getting all the ex’s winnings is true karma 😆
We also have one in our town. He was a low income worker and when he won, he acted like a celebrity. His money disappeared in 1 month according to relatives and then went to hiding somewhere due to embarrasment. He was last seen as a construction worker.
Amazing video watch mojo
The one thing I'll do if I win... Save the money and use it wisely
Said everyone but a short time passes and you're off traveling around the world, buying a couple of Lamborghinis, buying designer clothes that cost more than five month's salary and so on..
@@vladimir-savage72 that would never happen to me
I would keep my job.
There should be a legal obligation of the lottery corporation to attach 10 years of financial management services to a large winning ticket, and the acceptance of those terms are required before being able to collect.
Winning the lottery = hard mode activated 😨
That’s why you never publicly claim your winning - everyone will always come asking for money
foreal lol , sadly some state dont have private claiming
People thinks that the lottery money will lasts forever. You have to manage your money wisely. If you don't you will lose it all.
I agree
If I won the big lottery then I would spend all the money so I could get in a video from WatchMojo 🤣🤣
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY LOST EVERYTHING!
There's only two ways to get rich... Spending less than what you earn or earning more than what you spend. A lot of money does not mean infinite money
I would keep my mouth shut; quietly buy land, build a better home, move, invest to build generational wealth for my family. I would also prepare for the Apocalypse; it seems to be on the horizon!
My one regret is not taking out a small loan a few years back to buy a small tract of land in South Florida. The land is now worth six figures and still hasn't sold!
So moral of the story don't be an idiot and just spend you lottery winning's invest, save and be responsible
The ex husband who got the whole sum of the lottery after being divorced made me sort of happy.
👆🙌I really appreciate who so ever that recommend the real agent to Claim my winnings I was deeply happy when I got mine from him I got funded. He is loyal and honest ,…I can only advice you to contact him for any assistance above 👆
That was my favorite. Ex-wife was so dumb. She could've had half, but she was too greedy.

If these people cared about money they never would have played the lottery in the first place
Let’s just appreciate this man’s dedication for our entertainment. That was quite a wipeout
This is why I wish I could win. Not into drugs, Would only give a moderate amount to family, and would buy an average house. Nothing stupid ir crazy
Same but as for family I have very few that I actually like. My mother passed away years ago,my father's in prison for life,so I don't need to give any to them and my siblings hate me to say the least,so they're out of the picture. That just leaves two of my cousin's who've been too kind to me,so I'd gladly give them a portion of my winnings if I'd ever won.
I'll readily admit that I'm crap with money. Winning the Lottery would be a freaking death sentence.
If I won like $5 million I’d probably just keep it in the bank and maybe get a slightly nicer car or something. Its not enough to retire on or not work a job.
If I won 1,000,000 I would buy an nsx Acura, after I’d buy some things for my family, then I’d invest the rest, into stocks, and business ideas
👆🙌I really appreciate who so ever that recommend the real agent to Claim my winnings I was deeply happy when I got mine from him I got funded. He is loyal and honest ,…I can only advice you to contact him for any assistance above 👆.
After taxes you’ll only have 600,000. So it would be really dumb to buy a $100k car. If you were smart you’ll buy a Prius and invest the rest into real estate or something.
Brad Pitt in fight club - I don’t buy shit I don’t need
I would have invest
If I won, I would pay off bills and school loans. Then up date kitchen and new floors. Then make two savings for my Grandchildren for school or until their Thirty to receive their savings.
I don't see myself winning the lottery, NO and it's not worth it
So what you're saying is...don't win the lottery in the UK. Got it.
if i won,no one would know,i will go to work as normal, spend little and act normal
First, HIRE AN ATTORNEY to set up a trust and claim the money anonymously (OH allows this), pay off debt, estimate a yearly budget and invest half for the future. Of course, some goes to family and friends and charities especially children's causes and animal rights and the environment. Most of all, tell as few people as possible. We would stay in our current home and update it. And travel, travel and travel.
That's basically what i would do too.
How's this for ironic? An ad for a lottery before this video
Why is there never a video about lotto winners who did good? There have been at least a million people over the years and these videos always only show the same exact 30 people every time? So 30 out of a million? So us the rest that did good!
Some lost there lives too. This list is light weight
If only I won, I would have traveled the world and bought a house and hopefully die without working again
Don’t sign the lottery ticket with your name. Get a lawyer and create a Trust. Sign your ticket in the Trust name instead. I wouldn’t want to announce winning the lottery.
Winning lots of money is like getting a STD…
1. Don’t tell anyone you got it
2. Move out of town tell no 1 where ur going
3. Keep it to yourself
4. Only when it’s gone tell people what happened
If only these were easy for people not from the U.S 😢 in my country, far away and indifferent relatives suddenly become loving and interested in you [a.k.a the winnings]
🤣😂 dead
I would keep it quiet if I could so the leeches don't show up. Possibly move states from the one I won the money in so people don't show up. Change my number and disappear and save my money.
Lesson to be learned: Get some financial discipline no matter how much money you have.
I listened to the whole video and I’ve been hearing gambling and reckless spending.
Callie Rogers was pretty stupid to blow a huge chunk of it on DRUGS. No wonder she lost it all.
If I won the lottery first off I would never tell anyone. Then I would tell the news to keep me anonymous for privacy reasons. Then I would be extremely frugal with the money.
Some cities dont allow that, they will do an interview and basicaly tell the world you won the lottery which is fucked up
I cant imagine myself in that position, everyone knows how much money you have in your account and they aproach you with second intencions, imagine the amount of fake people around you Jesus
Lol 😂 I can’t help but laugh but this should teach people about the human heart. You can’t satisfy the greed in your heart!
I would panic if I won the lotto lol. I would give most of it to my bro’s and parents and partner then I’d buy my own house hehe

If i ever won the lottery im paying off my current home , giving my dad money , hiring a financial advisor and look for a decent home i can afford monthly
This is a video which could have simply been retitled as top 10 biggest idiots, without having to change any of the content of the video.
Stupid people can blame money for problems all they want, but it seems their personal choices and they're conscious mismanagement of money seems to be what the problem is. HAVING money does not mean you have to frivolously spend every bit of it.
My wife and I got about $3.5 thousand from our tax return over four months ago, use that to buy some new stuff, but also to supplement our income with bills and still have some of it in the bank.
There is not one problem in my life that could not be solved if I had a little bit more money to throw at them.
Notice people only make videos like this about people who lost Lottery money, but people won't tell you about the thousands of people who have won the lottery and used it to legitimately make their lives much better and the lives of those around them.
This is such a jaded View.
$1,000,000 will last you 20yrs if you only spend $1,000 a week. Just food for thought
Hide your Identity & avoid people
I'll tell you exactly what I'd do if I won the lottery. The first thing I would do is hire the best tax attorney possible. I'd ask him to set up a charitable trust. Then, I would give all my winnings to this trust, and receive income from this trust for the remainder of my life. This income would be very substantial. I was a CPA a few years back, and to the best of my knowledge, when money received in a windfall is given to a charitable trust, NO ONE pays the taxes on it. Taxes are paid only if the money is drawn out. That's what I remember, but the government may have changed it since. I don't know. Haven't been it that business for a long time. Finally, I would start a new project that is my passion, and build it up into a successful business. This will be much easier under the circumstances - No pressure.
#2 is some KARMA.
Keith passed away…hmmmm…wife probably wanted another payday
Basehore, what a name
I've said this thousands of times,if I ever won the lottery? My main goal would be to buy a decent sized house and remain secluded there. I'm an introvert anyway,so me going around the world flashing my vast winnings is highly an unlikely thing I'd ever do.
I feel the same way. The only thing I'd do is buy a decent size house but not a mansion. Those sound like too much trouble to take care of. I'd pay off the house in FULL. I've watched dozens of videos about lottery winners and they always go broke after buying TWO cars and a mansion but always on monthly payments! I can't believe how dumb they can get. Then they opt for the annual payout instead and have burned up all the money in 2 months. It doesn't end there. Then they pay a third party to deliver the lump sum of the rest, take another hit on the winnings AND still have to pay a percentage to the third party! It boggles my mind how reckless and moronic they can get. Now they owe money in the following ways:
1. house has a mortgage that will last 8-9 years (remember, you blew the whole yearly payout already!)
2. the Ferrari has a monthly payment of $3,000 a month
3. the Porsche also has a $2,000 a month payment (don't forget the insurance, tag, title and taxes, which are going to be pretty damn big!)
4. The money is already gone so the people who negotiate the lump sum for the remainder cost you 20% of what you won so if you won $2 million, you wind up losing $400,000! Ouch.
5. And don't forget, they negotiated the deal in EXCHANGE for a small percentage so you lost another $300,000!
6. Then you check your account a few MONTHS later and you're broke. And you still owe next month's payments on the Ferrari, Porsche, house AND interest for taking out yet another loan because you blew through the first yearly check so quickly!
The debt mountain just keeps climbing and climbing!
Early payment fees? I would make that illegal immediately if I had the power
I couldn't believe it when I heard it! So charges if you payoff early and charges if you pay late??? That's crazy
When Amazon goes wrong
If I won the lottery, I'd use it collect video games and vinyl records, and even then try to pace myself.
I guess it's good that I'm helplessly addicted to Call of Duty and Tomb Raider games. So I'd still be playing my CURRENT games although I probably would buy a spare console in case I wear out my current one, LOL. The only thing I'd recklessly do is buy a small house but I'd pay it off in FULL so there's no mortgage over my head AFTER the money runs out. No supercars for me. I love my GTI and can't bear to let it go. The only vehicle I'd add is probably a small pickup in case I need AWD in bad weather but I'm not going to buy a $60,000 Ford 4-door pickup.
Whittaker became rich off illegal transactions. He won more than power ball, and he was friends with one of the men choosing winning numbers, some how Whittaker won often. So I would say that’s pretty fair to lose everything after taking everything
If I can’t be anonymous, then I will give it to someone to ruin their life.
Can you do top 10 episodes of Spectacular Spider-Man?
If I would win the lottery, I would buy a PS5 and a Nintendo Switch with their games. I would also buy a video camera to do ACTUAL let’s plays.
