I visited Dubrovnik with my GF in summer 1982 when it was still part of Communist Yugoslavia. My god it has changed so much! Very few tourists there at the time. The place had an authentic feel to it then. Now it is just another touristy place.

@user-db8hs6dy4m The other days it was so loaded with tourists, that you can't walk properly. So I had luck that's was not so full like the other days, but it's still overcrowded ;)
Game of Thrones has changed a lot for this city, it feels like every second guided tour is a GOT tour. The fans of this series are really overrunning the city. Luckily, guided tours about the war are still being offered, which I can really recommend and are very interesting 😉
