My 2000's:
- All of my friends had the Nerf N-Strike Maverick
- Study Island for school that had fun games that the entire class watch to see if you're dumb or not.
- Lan Parties were a LUXURY, especially if it's on the GameCube or Xbox.
- Learning cursive, since it's becoming less important apparently nowadays.
- The ROLL UP MAPS in the front of classes that have no projectors.
- FREAKING CHALK BOARDS (and clapping the erasers to create dust clouds for fun)
I didn't have many friends sadly, but I know the halo lan parties were fucking LLLIIIIIITTT
This is lowkey sad, I grew up in the 2000's and 2010s, so a lot of this I missed, but I still remember the magic of holidays being month long events, gaming being so much better, etc
if you did a part 3 (which you should), in total there would be 30, which is the amount of days i’ve been asking for the gfeul shake to return
The holiday one is sadly SO true. I remember when I was in elementary school, we'd always watch Polar Express, sip hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows, and have whole Christmas parties on the last day before winter break...good times

the holiday one is so real. Early 2000s I remeber every single house being lit for christmas with all the street lights having wreaths and shit onn em. Even holloween seeing thousands of kids in a span of like 2 hours, now hardly anyone even comes by my house 🙃
I had:
- The CD binders
- PSP and PSP games including Twisted Metal, NBA 2K8, Juiced, etc...
- an iPod to listen to music and watch videos
When Wyatt and Lazerbeam upload it’s a good day.
I was born 1989 and i remember most of these and i teared up because life was just so much simpler
Ahh the time when I had to watch the news to see if my school is gonna be closed for snow. Still do to this very day every once in a while

I remember the rolling projectors in school (born in 06 so only had em for a couple years early on in school)
Funny thing is that the backlighting technology existed for handhelds basically right as they were invented, and basically every non-Nintendo handheld had them. The problem is that they ate batteries like Pac-Man eats pellets and people preferred having the cheaper Game Boys as a result of that. The GBA SP was the first Nintendo Handheld to have a backlit screen, and, no coincidence, it was also the first to come standard with a rechargeable battery.
im 17, and i collect CDs and they're my favorite way to listen to music. I have over 80 and my favorite one is my Enema of the State. Still have a CD player and all that jazz. Just sucks that back in the 90s, you didn't know if an album sucked until you bought it and listened to it
I'm a kid today and I still do the news thing for snow days 😂
Playing svr and minecraft xbox 360 with my brother and friends on the 360 will always be goated...miss those times
watching the TV to see if your school got canceled sounds way better then just getting a phone call or looking on twitter

I don’t know if it’s just me or not but I’ve always enjoyed collecting Vinyl Records and CD’s.
I was born in 05 so i grew up as technology advanced so i caught the end of a lot of this kind of stuff which im glad i got to experience

It really truly is scary to hear how many things that I can relate, why it isn't much older than I am and I'm in 25. It's just so sad to see how much has changed
My Latin teacher still uses an over head projector- I works better than our smart boards 😭😭

The last one I agree with so much in 2016 or 2017 when I went to the mall during Christmas time they had an area to see Santa but before that they had this custom kung fu panda project screen ride where you would go into a sleigh and it you would feel like your moving with the character on the screen but now all you do is now see Santa and that’s it

From a guy born in 92, let me give y'all a nostalgic memory about movies.
Back in the 90s and early 2000s, when movies came to the theater, you better go there to watch it, because if you don't, and you really wanted to see it, well guess what, your ass has to wait till it comes out on VHS tapes or DVD... And it would feel like forever too. It was never "watch it anytime on your streaming devices". It was "If you missed it in the theater, then you have to wait for it, plain and simple".
I remember I was nine when the first Shrek came out, and I think it was back in April or May 2001. Well guess what? I never got to see it, and by the time all my friends got to see it and tell me how awesome it was, it was gone from the theater to make room for some new movies. Well, I had to wait all the way till November that year to pick it up at a Walmart. Now, of course 6 months now as an adult feel like nothing, but as a kid back then, it felt like an eternity.
At the same time though, it gave a different feeling to the movie theater in general. It was so fun getting to watch all sorts of movies back in the day, with a room full of people cheering, laughing, crying.
Yeah, you kids will never know the vibe of you and hundreds of other kids going to watch Pokemon the First Movie (The one with Mewtwo BTW) it was so packed and so awesome!!!!
