OK, this video was uploaded in 2014, so I've had to have a good look and try to remember the details. The particular section of road is on a reasonable hill, approaching a set of lights that are notorious for changing quickly. If you look closely, you will notice that the truck in front is also moving slowly, anything to avoid stopping completely. Check the Left side mirror, you will notice that old mate in the car was behind me, he passes me in the "Left Turn Lane"then cuts across in front of me, simultaneously blocking the passage of the bus. All of that effort to simply gain a few seconds. But yes. Maybe I should have closed the gap further.

In Thailand...if you've got a dash cam like you've got....and the number plates can be read....you go to the cops there...they give you 30% of the fines they recover from the culprits....
You've got 100 bucks just in this video here....
LOL. Now that is food for thought. I like Thailand, have traveled there quite a few times. I even have a video of it here on my channel. Thanks for the interesting information.
@@swampmarshy But in Thailand a bad situation is when someone jump out of their car with a machete....I smashed 2 of them like that and the police thank me.....
@@jeanchardonnay5627 😮
@@swampmarshy 70% of drivers are drunk in Thailand....
Really. I certainly never noticed it that bad on my travels there. I did notice a few in the Pattaya area, but they were mostly tourists that were drunk, not the Thai's.
to drive a manual as most of these truckies do they constantly have 1 hand on the gear stick n 1 on the wheel. People here need to go drive a truck to fully understand what these blokes n shelas put up with daily then we will see how many still blame the truckie
They do it everywhere, obviously merging into traffic isn't part of the driving test
Oh, I'm sure that it's a part of the driving test. I'm also sure that after the test they do a data dump on the vast majority of the information, then continue with the I no longer give a sh!T attitude. We thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. This video is now quite a few years old. Please feel most welcome to explore the other videos on our channel, you just might find more videos that interest you.
@@swampmarshy it might be a few years old, but nothing has changed, I give up worrying about them, I was told by a copper years ago, treat every other driver as an idiot, and stay out of their way
@@johngavey3930 yeah mate, no argument from me on that 😎
No different to the UK mate 👍 🤣
And I thought all the idiots picked on me! Looks like I have a soul brother......unfortunately you see these motoring dingbats on the road every day and in numbers
LOL :) No, they don't just pick on you mate. I've learnt that they definitely do like to share the experience with as many other road users as possible.
There were a few instances there where there was plenty of room to let people in and they indicated reasonably. On the other hand some were unreasonable. Dash cams are making people create opportunities to be outraged!
Thank you for taking the time to comment respectfully. Please keep in mind that this was uploaded in 2014, and the camera being used was not the greatest. Please also keep in mind that the particular camera does tend to make other vehicles appear to be further away than they really are. as the sticker on your mirror possibly states, objects are closer than they appear. Believe me, as a truck driver I'm definitely NOT out there creating opportunities to be outraged, way too busy for that type of nonsense.
@@swampmarshyit's easy to see, so many couldn't be bothered cruising with the traffic. They take the "easy" (read: not smart or legal) way/s, cutting in from turning lanes, failing to Give Way when changing lanes, the usual.
There also seems to be an abundance of Victim Blamers, also.
I hope thiswasnt all in one day
Thanks for the comment mate. If you check out the time stamps you'll notice that the various clips were collected over about 6 weeks or so.
Typical Brisbane, only bettered by Toowoomba
LOL 😂
Just a normal day on the roads in brisbane
Yeah mate, and over 4 years since I made this video, things haven't changed much at all :)
A lot of our roads weren't designed for this volume of traffic. There's very little in the way of straight roads either which makes getting around worse.
HAHA lived in Brisbane for 4 years.. nothing new to me....
Yeah, I'm sure. Just out of interest, this video was originally uploaded in 2014. It's almost frightening that nothing seems to have changed.
@@swampmarshy Most people never change. Easy solution is to turn the tunes on the car and cruise and leave a car space in front of the car ahead. Never have had an issue.
Invest in two sets of train horns!
LOL. Now that's a thought.
Unbelievable
1:23 that driver was inpatient for the light to go green if police were around there they would have pulled that idiot over
Saw where I drive lol
Love the commentary
where every one races up the left turn lane and goes straight ahead i see it lots it a bad intersection
need a bigger horn mate.
Yeah. ... This video was originally uploaded in 2014. I drive a bigger truck now, with a bigger horn LOL. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Driving with one hand on the wheel is ok?
Depends on the situation. Every situation is different. Some say no, that is their individual choice. We are all entitled to an opinion. But the days of unassisted steering with skinny cross ply tires and crap handling are well and truly over.
3:13, What I don't understand is how many people make that screw-up there. There are so many signs and road markings indicating that you MUST turn left there:

FUGA NINIES ARE EVERY WHERE!!!
Your horn is too wimpy.
Yeah, this video was made several years ago. I don't drive this particular truck these days. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. Please also remember to check out some of the other videos on the channel
Your driving isn’t the best ether; I mean the clip at the 2.50 minute mark you left enough room to drive a bus between you and the truck in front so it’s your own fault, then you toot.. 🤪
@@swampmarshy if it’s on a hill your 100 percent right, it’s pays to stay back at bit
Why isnt your dashcam on your dash?
Arch Enemy because it's actually an action cam that I use as a dash cam. I also use it for many other videos. I just didn't want the expense of purchasing several cameras when just one will do what I want.
Beautiful sound that lorry makes :)
Matej Cunderlik Yeah mate, it was one of the few good things about it, great little Cummins engine in it.
Is it a Hino ?
Matej Cunderlik No mate, that one was a JAC from China. It was a major disappointment and no longer part of the fleet.
Great video btw. Showing exactly all of the idiots on a daily basis.
Matej Cunderlik Thank you for your kind words.
Seems the drivers are bad but the professional truck driver isn't much better.
pathetic control of truck , one handed holding a cig in the other
st th Thank you. As this video was uploaded quite a few years ago, I’m reminded of how much things have changed since then. I’ve not had a cigarette since early 2015, so use both hands now. Thank you, I feel better about myself now
@@swampmarshy Good for you
