- This is a new DayZ Expansion called Frostline. This new DLC includes a NEW map Sakhal which is set in Russia. New assets like buildings, boats and clothes. New animals such as rabbits, reindeer, fish and even caviar. New mechanics like fishing. The fishing has had a whole overhaul to make it more fun and interactive. The new DLC Frostline will come out with update 1.26 at the end of 2024 on xbox playstation and pc.

We play DayZ which is one of the best survival games of 2024. If you enjoy Rust , Tarkov , Deadside or other new survival games you will enjoy this one! Glad to see the game progressing but that was a ton of hype for basically a small new map. Can't hide a bit of disappointment.
So namalsk 2 + adding BACK the rabbit + reskinned deer. Like no hate but what do the devs do all day cuz this is less impressive than most fan made mods

For PC people I’m sure it might be a let down to some, but for console players who only have 2 maps this is really exciting
It gets better the map is just a re textured arma 3 map + did you see the comp they are giving the people who bought livonia it's the dayz soundtrack on steam and that's it no special reward no discount on the new shitty dlc nothing but some soundtrack that we all hear for hours in game and the 2 people that want to hear it outside the game can find it on RUclips
@@Comrade_Kalash47 thats crazy honestly maybe instead of making dlcs just update the zombie AI or do something useful instead of adding useless maps that dont even compare to community made ones. Not to mention stealing ideas from modders and reskinning stuff

I love this game regardless, the vanilla experience is still one of the best in 30 years of gaming. It’s easy to forget that when the modding community exists but these devs haven’t given up on us and that means something to me. Until I buy a PC gaming rig anyway lmao
Only reason this maps happening is because of console.
You can have a PC that will run this game just fine for what you paid for your console........and get all the mods.

Food refreezing is my issue. But I guess it really won’t matter that much if your constantly building fires to keep your character warm anyway

that thing with the food getting cold/frozen and needing to be thawed or warmed up was already a thing. It was in the map city of wolves like two years ago
Hopefully we'll be able to create snow zones. Maybe based on coordinates or elevation. I have a snow area on my map and right now I'm using white fog.
Its cool to see a new official map but like, why not add more to livonia, fix the hit registration dysnc, better weapon handling and more realistic recoil, ragdoll physics when you kill other players, theres tons they could have fixed and worked on that would have made the game even better... dont get me wrong i love DayZ but theres certainly things that could use some attention.
They should really give us new zombies at least..

Unfortunately, this is the case with almost every game with console support. Since no second game is made for the consoles, compromises are made that usually put the PC at a disadvantage.
Can you put a loaded backpack in a car? Or just another waste of time loading and unloading. Leather clothes?

To be fair, it looks like the official expansion is just catching up with some of the mods that are already out there. A new rabbit? I have fought dinosaurs and aliens on modded servers..

Looks cool but can we fix the broken parts of the game like the zeds and walking up and down staircases? I don't think anyone enjoys having an outer body experience while fighting zeds or simply walking through a door on a building

It's cool.. as a dayz fan, anything new is appreciated. I know it's not a DayZ 2. But it's something. I'd like to see more US state maps like LA or Texas. Maybe Canada? Or Mexico? That would be cool as well... But would take an eternity it seems like with how long it takes for any progression. But thanks for this at least!

Namalsk isn't on Console so im pretty sure this dlc was a cashgrab for console players

I honestly dont get why people complain about 20 or 30 euros for a dlc. If paying 30 actually bothers you, you should stop gaming and get your life together in the first place. Food shopping for a day is easly 40 to 50 €/$ a dlc in dayz is gonna give you thousands of hours of fun.

But here ya go since yall bought one that's now free. Especially since I just got dayz like 3 months ago n bought Livonia at the same time lol. Glad it's gonna be free to 0lay for everyone but hopefully they add more than just a map for console if u get Frontline. Even the pedal bikes or 2 new guns(even if only on frostline to make it worth it.

Fallout 4 still charges like $15 for far harbor and that came out like 8 years ago

WHY would they choose a fragmented island map where the water mass takes up potential playable design land mass?! WHY would they miss out on an opportunity like making a winter map in Chernobyl or Pripyat or perhaps the black mountains north of Chernarus?? What a missed opportunity by the devs. Sad they could have made history

Well they just hired Windstride, I think this new map a good start with more to come. It must be difficult to introduce new things to the game while at the same time trying not to upset a very fragile and aged architecture. Not to mention creating conflicts with the existing mods and there are a ton of those. I'd like to see more focus on the obvious shortcomings like the goofy infected AI, but it is what it is.
