- The members of KISS are hitting the road for their final tour ever!
The End of the Road world tour launches January 31 in Vancouver.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, who have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide over a 45-year career, have said this tour is devoted to their millions of fans, known as the KISS Army.
"Extra’s" senior music correspondent Adam Weissler sat down with KISS members Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, who opened up about their past, present and future... and Gene even got a bit emotional. Watch!

My first concert was KISS and opening act Helix in Brussels in 1983, next year gonna be my 37th KISS concert.
My first one was the Farewell tour, I was 5 years old and I only remember certain things 🙁

I have never been to a show but I have been a fan since the beginning and I will be to the end of my life I am now 18 and I'm so happy I stuck with them they are the best and nothing but the best.
I remember Paul once saying KISS was about more than just one member in the band and these guys, Singer and Thayer, are and have been part of the band and so yes this is KISS. However for a KISS Farewell Tour they should have everyone still kicking out there on stage for each concert date.

Been a KISS fan since 1975. And sure... Ace & Peter were a part of KISS for part of the ride, but I have nothing but respect for Eric & Tommy for stepping up to the plate and doing what Ace and Peter should have done from day one.... period.

so glad i get to see them 1 more time it'll be my 4th time, i've been a die hard fan since 2009 i respect tommy and eric for their contribution to kiss without them i would never have seen kiss, to me they are kiss its like whoever was playing james bond when you became a fan thats your bond, gene, paul, tommy and eric thats my kiss and imo anyone who complains who's in or out the band is not a true fan all that should matter is when you go see kiss you got what you came for

As for me, i became a KISS FAN right at the height of the LOVE GUN, North American tour in the summer of 1977, and received my diploma as an officially, certified member of the KISS ARMY in November' 1996, just 3 months after attending my VERY FIRST SHOW LIVE, at Montreal's Bell Centre in August, as part of the ALIVE / WORLDWIDE, North American Reunion tour.
So sad that I wasn't able to see them. I'm actually crying.

@@ShockMe1994 except in the 70s when Ace and Peter were equally 25% each. Every line up after were puppets. Nothing memorable about anything Bruce Kulicks done or Tommy Thayer. Vinnie Vincent yes. COTN & Lick It Up great albums and songs. Skip to Revenge once again Vinnie had hand in that record. The original 4 had "star" power & personality and originality. The bulk of all setlists come from the first 6 studio albums. I get it if someone became a fan when Animalize came out and didn't know much about the past then they may love it. I was just stating an opinion!

Feb 6, 1976 5 buddies from high school we went to the St. Paul Civic Center Theater and watched KISS pre Destroyer music its all KISS Alive pretty much but I saw Ace Frehley playing that tobacco sunburst Les Paul Deluxe with his signature DiMarzio Super Distortions in his Les Paul well a couple months later I bought a guitar!!!!!!! Went back on Feb 3, 1977 Met Center Rock and Roll Over tour Ace was using a cherry sunburst Les Paul custom well that was it I needed I saved and bought a cherry sunburst custom too!! I put a DiMarzio PAF in neck position than Super Distortion bridge looked like the "MAN"!!!!!! 2 years later met the entire band the before there Dynasty tour September 28, 1979 at Great American Music You were late getting there buy the way!!!!!! Met the band got Dynasty signed got to talk to Ace aka "the man"!!!! The next night Judas Priest warm up than KISS took the stage opened with "King of the Night Time World" Anyway, 10 years later walked around with Ace Frehley at the 1987 NAMM in Anahiem Ca than he was endorsed by Laney Amps and Washburn guitars. Unbelievable 3 hours ran into another guitar hero Eddie Van Halen we looked at stuff talked Ace was very forth coming when I asked questions thank you Ace Frehley I still play today work at a music store teach guitar 40+ years later!!!!! A fan since 1978 I was only 7 I wish I still had my KISS lunchpail and thermos but my mom threw it out cause I left my rotten food in it ,ha!! And I know kiss doesn't like it but I love the t.v film phantom of the Park I remember staying up to watch it this was my early childhood and it was great... I agree with KISS! If you can still do your job well at a older age and 45 years of music and tours! You want to end it just right. Shit after 45 years and over 20 different tours i would want to say goodbye and enjoy the rest of my life with family. I also want to add ive never seen KISS and always wanted to see them live i tried looking for tickets in Toronto sold out! I don't do radio contests LOL or draws to win stuff its all good. 70's KISS was awesome, they were my favorite band, they were cool, the memorabilia, the artwork, the mystique of never seeing them without their makeup, they were totally different than any other band I was 9 when they started in 73 and I am now 54, KISS for me ended in 1979 after Dynasty that is until 96 when MTV unplugged got the original band back together and they did the reunion tour to say "goodbye" to Ace and Peter, so everything after that is anti-climatic, the real band has left the building and gone into retirement almost 20 years ago, and now cover-kiss is retiring,Yaaawwwwnnnn!

I will still try and see them this last time but I kinda feel like this tour may be a dud, I hope not but the nostalgia has worn off and only hitting on 50% power and with Paul's voice shot it might be rough for them, but that being said I think they should have ended at the Hall of Fame , everyone that has been in the band get up and play a few songs and the end with Rock n roll all night everyone jamming together, take a bow and ride off into the sunset, would have been great.

I must somehow clarify of the fact, that when Tommy and Eric
joined the band around late 2003, it was Gene and Paul who ordered the newcomers, to don the face paint and costumes, once worn by both Ace and Peter. After all, they are the co- owners and founders of the KISS name, as well as their respectable characters.
So as bosses of the band, Tommy and Eric had to follow through with that order. Otherwise, they would have been fired right on the spot, and this kind of situation not only happens to
rock stars, but it also affects ordinary human beings like us as well. Remember that the boss is the one who commands the ship, and if he orders that individual to do something, he will
have to obey his orders, whether he likes it or not.
I understand, that many fans do not approve of Tommy and
Eric, impersonating the Space Ace and the Cat Man. But if the
orders came directly from Gene and Paul themselves, then there
is no other alternative but to accept it. That's the way it goes,
in our normal, everyday lives.
