- Top handle battery chainsaw comparison with Femalelumberjack.
I'm sharing my thoughts on the 4 akku chainsaws, what I like and don't like and as always a small cookie test :)
Excellent review of these saws. It nice to see a review after gear has been used for a while rather than it coming straight out of the box 😁
I encourage you to use the grey clip on the back of the Husqy again, this is fantastic as it means you can stow it away with one hand rather than having to move the clip and/or the caritool. I wish all saws had this clip for easy stowing of saws.
Keep up the great work!!
Exchanging with Husqvarna for the T540i XP battery saw after having lots of stalling issues with the new Husqvarna 130. No problems with the string or hedge trimmer battery version. No servicing the engine/carb is one less thing to worry about. May lose the sound but it's not a car! Just need it to get the job done reliably. Excellent review!
You can switch out the chain drive gear with a spare part from 535i to get 3/8" pitch and switch out the bar to either 1.3 or 1.5 mm for the 540i XP to use other chains! Cheers
I enjoy the bloopers at the end of ur videos.
Thanks..
Thank-You! In the past l thought you were performing Stihl commercials! I enjoyed this video because of my gain in saw knowledge!
It is a Stihl commercial. Note it was necessary to find fault with the Husqvarna because its performance was so much better than the Stihl. And the fault was ... the name on the dust cover is not clear enough!
I have the T540iXp and love it. The dust cover comes off easily. Remove the screw, then slide the cover a bit to the rear while lifting up the rear edge.
Interesting video. I'm just skeptical about battery powered saws. But I might try one later. Take care and have a blessed week.
Ditto, nice cutting comparison review and me too i’m dino juice all the way till they stop making it ....
I was sceptical too. Until I got a similar one on a battery drive. Not a top brand. But a very suitable "European" chinese brand. And cheap :)
Its the chain-break on the Husqvarna saws. If it is on the saw will stay on but if the break is off, then the saw will shut down after a while.
All the best from Norway :-)
aah good to know. Thank you!
@@Femalelumberjack yeah, if Husqvarna is on chainbrake, it waits for operator around 30minutes but if chainbrake is off, than after around one minute it shuts down. #safety
I just got my 200tnthat was ported yesterday....🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡🖤
Great video, thanks! It's refreshing to have a woman's perspective on tree work and battery tools.
Thank you
Thank you. I’ve watched a couple of your reviews. I mainly use my 201 for everything paired with my silky for small pruning or carefulness over a tricky target. But I have just bought the echo and can’t wait for it to arrive. Def going to sub it’s nice to see an attractive lady talk about the job we love! X
Excellent presentation. I would like to se a compilation of your tree work using the three new saws and your evaluation afterwards.
thank you from France ! great interesting job you have done. Thanks to you I know which one I will buy now
I believe the words you where looking for was back bar or back cut. Thank you for the in-depth review. The Huski would have me a little hesitant on a purchase because of the smaller chain gage as battery saws generally put out more torque than gas powered saws.
thank you for posting this video very informative and I'll think I'll wait till those chainsaws get a little bit better before purchasing one , have a great week and play safe
Thank you.
Be safe
Use properly sharpened chains that you don’t need to push. The ECHO is a game-changer. Light weight and nimble. I’ve worked with people who constantly stalled chains on an MS200T in the cut. A properly sharpened chain will self-feed and cut faster than laying on the saw. No interest in 1/4 pitch chains or saws that look like a converted Dust Buster. Thanks for posting this video and respect your work in-tree. Work Safe👋
Bra information, jag gillar verkligen hur du presenterar sågarna och om dina egna erfarenheter och åsikter. Tack! 🥳🤘
That's what happens when you give a Stihl girl a husky she starts breaking chains LOL. Always love your videos, you do a great job on the reviews very thorough and professionally done. Keep up the great work you make your treeple happy! 👍👍💪💪😁❤️
Lol I didn’t run the saw when it broke😆
Thank you
Would like to see video of you climbing and trimming trees
Good review but I disagree that the Stihl should have an on/off button. Being able to instantly use it without having to wait for the electronics to wake up is great -- I hate having to press the On button and wait 2 seconds when limbing or sawing logs etc. The chainbrake makes on/off switches unnecessary. Been using an MSA200 for 3 years, now have a 161T, and the extra safety button on the handle is not a problem.
We have about 95% STIHL saws but when it comes to battery top handle for me the t540i XP has no competition atm. STIHL is so far behind in the battery top handle market atm
Super kool chick, love the channel I think more for just the fact of a kool chick with saws more so than the saws, especially the battery ones...I'm a 2stroker, diesel man, although when up a tree I can kinda see where not having to start an engine being a little easier that pulling a cord, but still I love my 2 strokes, keep it rolling chick super kool
Good video, and damn girl you got some guns on you, them chainsaws are making a tough lady out of you. Stay safe and stay active.
Thanks 💪💪
Grattis till 10k subs!
Tak 😃
Здравствуйте !
Интересный видео обзор !
Благо дарю вс за то что сделали его !
Модели некоторые я еще не видел какие вы в нем показали !
Желаю вам всего самого Хорошего !
Congratulations you make everything very useful videos
One advice because i have the Stihl MSA 161 T ,the small battery AP 100 it do not recommend from the manufacturer, because dropdown the power.I had done a test with small battery AP 100 and the chainsaw it have the 50 % less power cut.Τhe manufacturer suggests battery from AP 200 and up.
I do not like the third switch at Stihl MSA 161 T ,i like better the third switch the system Echo - Husqvarna.
I have husky 340 22 years old! Gotta get myself new husky!!!
Nice review, but nothing about the weight was mentioned, and it is a very important feature for these kinds of tools.
i think all good saws very good video
Maybe you can turn down the oiler on the echo so it don't build up.
Ive got 161. Its good but but pushin wont work, an gettin it real sharp makes big difference. Ive gota put glasses on to c what im sharpening but when sharp good, an the narrow tip is shit hot for prunin. Cheers
Ich persönlich bleibe lieber bei den Benziner aber klasse erklärt 👍👍🤟
Look how much husky has improved their new saw from the older one... just give Stihl another 2 years they will really have something!! Until then you guys enjoy lol
Another factor is the batteries. Having other battery powered tools to me means that I should probably buy a saw that uses the same batteries as well. For that reason I bought a Milwaukee 10 foot pruning chain saw. I will get the hand held chainsaw later . Electric saws DO have their place I agree.
Very true. The batteries are expensive and it's nice not having too many different kinds
Szuper videó,aranyos vagy puszi😘🐶👍👌🌲🐝🌷
Great video, very informative and refreshing change to the norm 😎
Thanks
With all due respect for your great in depth analysis and knowledge, is it only me that thinks all of the chainsaws have too loose a tension on the chains? Looking at the video with the saws on the bench, all the saws chains seem to sag slightly. A loose chain could likely come off and there would be damage to it.
There is a new makita that I'm checking out now...so far very impressed
Awesome.. top or back handle?
@@Femalelumberjack top handle
I notice the eco saw has bar ideal for artist carwing in the wood!
I think the Husqvarna’s automatically turn off after 30 seconds if the chainbrake is off, as a safety feature
This video is a MUST see.
Thank you
Thank you for not having any background music that is just a distraction. You say your main issue with the Echo saw is that due to its lightness etc, you would be concerned people would use it with one hand? As it is a top handle saw, that isn't that what it s designed for, just like all the other top handle saws. What is the issue you have with using the top handle Echo with one hand? Isn't that what it is designed for?
I currently own a Husqvarna lineup consisting of a 455 Rancher, 550XP, and a 395XP. Also on the workshop wall is a Echo CS-300 top handle plus my fathers older than me blue Homelite XL-12 which is currently being rebuilt. I'm looking for a replacement for the Echo and was considering a battery model. Although I do prefer the gas versions but battery's have come a long way. Thanks for the great videos!
Thank you! The echo saw is really good IMO
Great review, thanks for the video!
You’re welcome
Very good video I like your comparisons with each one of those but for now I think I'll stick to my T 292
Thank you
Comparing apples to oranges as far as cutting, the stihl runs a much smaller narrower chain than any of the others, the echo rins a hard nose bar, compared to the sprocket nose bars on the others. I've used husqui and stihl battery saws, and every stihl I used, had over load issues, all the hisquis did fine.
I did say in the video that you can’t really compare them because they’re so different and that it was more of a “these are some of the saws out there”.
We’ve only had issues with Husqvarna saws but I guess that’s just how it is sometimes
10years ago i emagine about cordless chainsaw with batery Ah for productivity to exchange the gas one and today it is real the power of emagine is grat and its happend!
Just bought the Echo. V good so far, 2.5 charges will fell and firewood a 30ft Sitka Spruce. Will try 12" bar next.
Got the new husky and the Stihl. Love both of them but the battery life of the husky is pretty short.
I found that too
Try BLi300 ;)
Thanks for the tip Janis. I've found that attaching the extra protection grid for the saw might increase battery life. At least that's what I've experience since i got it on on. Still got the bli 200x on.
So just change the bar length on the t540i for pruning and or drop a size down to 1/4 pitch chain and run even longer bars. You don't have to run it as it came.
I'm with you,
in that I match the bar length to what diameter I have to cut...
👌
The husqvarna saws only turn off automatically if you leave the chain brake off. The T535/536 turns off after 30 seconds to a minute and the T540 turns off after about 3 minutes
Thanks for the video. I do not own a battery powered saw, but have been thinking of getting one. Still cant decide on a brand.
Thank you. They’ve come a long way with the battery saws! Do you use any other battery products from either of the manufactures? Cause then I would stick to one brand. A 3 saws (not counting the old husky) are great in my opinion
@@Femalelumberjack No battery products so far. Probably go with the Stihl or Echo. They are sold locally and are very popular in this area.
Good video. The top handle echo cordless chainsaw is not available in the USA and the reply’s to an email I sent was there are no plans for a top handle cordless chainsaw
That’s a shame
i like em both, just go n quiet, 220 so good if youre on the ropes just nippin branches all day just quick.
Love your videos! keep it up
Thanks
Thanks for posting! 🇨🇦
I think the stihl "always on" mode is a good thing by itself. You know it is dangerous from the moment it has a battery on, its very visual.
Not sure what Husky uses for chain, but Oregon 90px is great for 1.1 / .043 bars.
Hi there I love the way you handle them battery powered toys 😘
Chainsaws aren't toys
@@corpsiecorpsie_the_original
I used a chainsaw for the first time when I was 15 years old to help out with things at home that's the way it was growing up for me and I have been working with them since I guess wood is in the blood and that's that 👍
Thanks for the great review! I wish echo sold their battery saw in the states
Thank you. I don’t understand why they don’t
@@Femalelumberjack maybe it's the 220 vs 120 voltage in the states? I contacted Echo US and they said there are no plans to release it here. I bought a little 19v Makita...it's ok for little pruning jobs on the weekend's when I don't want to make too much noise
Not sure where you got that info. My dealer has some in the pnw. Picking another one up next week. Pretty sure you can order them from Home Depot too.
@@ShortBusEnduro Gabe, Thanks for the update! I posted that a year ago when I contacted echo usa and they responded that "there were no plans to release it in the states"?
Anyway, that's good news. Do you run 1/4" bar and chain on them? How does it compare to the Husky t540!? I'm running a few 2511t with Stihl 1/4" and Panther 1/4" and they are our go-to saws!
@@ShortBusEnduro Also, look at the bar on the echo in this video? not what they're selling here?
can you do a vid on carbide chains? just curious if the are worth the extra money for the average homeowner etc..
appreciate your vids & enthusiasm 👍🏻❤️🙏🏻
ive got 161 an 220, but there for pruning small cuts really. id saw if ya blockin down petrol climber, can be done but really soft wood' cheers great vid'
Good video ! I would like to see comparison with Makita :)
This lady has everything in the right place nice
Probably the thiner drive link 1.1 prevent for stoping engine when you push it up when the engine has hard it shut of to prevent over heating the cooper coil bild in the core of bruhless motor !
Would you say that electric saws could one day or maybe already outperform a conventional engine driven saw? As I see it, the electrics has a great foothold on pruning/debranching and maybe even smaller trees, but for heavier work the engine driven are still unmatched!?
Anyway, tak for en god video! Har helt klart set mig lidt lummer på Echoen 😉
The battery saws still have a way to go but are great for delimbing trees and cutting smaller trees.
Nice video! Keep it up 😃
Thank you
Thanks .:-)
I watched this whole vid... & I was curious how the "oilers" worked on each one... I bought a "dewalt as good as gas" chainsaw when it first came
out, and one of the things the manufacturer in my humble opinion, jacked up on, was the oiler.. that thing just leaks bar oil, EVERYWHERE....
Of course, my Husky gas chainsaw does the same thing to a degree...
All of my gas chainsaws leak oil. Don't yet have an electric but would expect it leaded also.
Is hanging thingy a technical term?? 😃😃 Thanks for sharing
Absolutely! It’s right there in the manual 😉
Awesome review
Thanks
Yuuup! Great video!!!👍👍👍
Thanks
Hey, great comparison, thanks for taking the time to do this 👍 I'm looking to buy my first top handle, how would you compare the the 161 to the petrol 151? Thanks, great channel!!
I don't know what you end up buying I have the 161T for about 2 years or litle more, I have used and abused it beyond manufacturing recommendations so far it never fail.
@@sirvozelo1 I agree, same here, for the size, weight and build, against the use it’s been given, it has taken it like a champ.
Yer not the 161. Just lacks bit of power an wierd shape. Maybe softwoods 161 good hard just not the grunt. Yet, thanks
I don't understand what the benefit of a push button switch would be on the Stihl.
You should never rely on any electric safety when performing maintenance on the chain, especially considering how easy it is to remove the battery.
I run the Milwaukee with the 12.0 battery. Where was it?
Please add to this test the makita duc 306 and 254
Hi how r u this evening thanks for the info another great video have a great week keep safe x
Hi thanks for tumbs up have a nice evening
👍
BRAVO, Bravo, bravo ‼ First let me say that I'm JUST finding you on YT from your Instagram Page, Love It ‼ Great Review, Very Thorough, Knowledgably from a Professional. Ironically I've been looking into a Battery powered saw. Since I'm a Husky Guy, a Husqvarna Saw it will be. I have Two 20 inch 455 XP's and looking for a 36 incher Saw for a Saw Mill, like the one You just Purchased. Sooo you just Sold Me on the Newest T540i XP. Thank you, I will let them know your Review Sold Me. Subscriber Now, will be watching your other Vlogs. As Always, Stay SAFE, Stay BEAUTIFUL and Stay Blessed🙏🏾❣❣❣
So glad to hear that! I appreciate you message. Stay safe 😊
Can they handle a Longer Bar on the Saws ???
STIHL12”
Echo 10”
Die schlechte Qualität der husqvarna schneidgarnitur kann ich nur bestätigen! Es wäre gut wenn wieder 1, 3 mm ketten verwendet werden könnte!
Definitely Husky 540iXP For powerful fast cuts
Hello. Like you, I have several battery-powered saws, so I'm interested in whether you only clean sprockets or is there a filter that needs to be cleaned? I would be grateful for an answer ...
No filter. I just clean the cover, sprocket, bar and chain
supper 💪❤💪👊💪
I have Stihl and Husqvarna. Stihl is the best.
They do make great saws
We're you not unfair? Maybe you should have used the sthil 220. I am just thinking, for if you use the top model of huswqvarna should do the same with other brands.
The 220 isn’t out yet as a top handle saw and I did say that they don’t have the same power
I am a huskvarna fun this time I buy bouth the sthil 161t and the 220 just because they are much cheaper here on Portugal. Honestly I am more happier with 161t because the battery lasts longer. But to compare on this case I think should have used the 220, other then that I think is like comparing a 4 cilinder car with a 8 cilinder.
You forgot the Pellenc Selion C21 HD ✌🏼😃
👍👍👍
Hi hi new here. Looks like a great channel
Thanks
She’s such a cutie 🥰
You are a professional why are you messing around with these electric saws?
Because they’re great in noise sensitive areas and great when delimbing spruce
Jeffrey you come across as a 'Mine's bigger than yours' sort of guy....and should know just how unappealing that is, putting you as it does, in the company of so many socially maladjusted males. And regarding electric saws, try looking up Reg Coates - whose experience and skill are matched by very few. See what he thinks of lithium and consider whether your disparaging remark was warranted.
I appreciate your diagnosis doctor. I will look into that. Maybe you should do a little soul searching for yourself and figure out why you find the need to attack every white male that has an opinion on something. I am sorry if my remark offended you. I am simply saying that from my experience on both electric and gas saws a professional is going to be a lot more productive with gas.
One handed 😰
Nah. I like not being disfigured
Echo sounds like it loses power as you put a load on it
using a chainsaw with one hand is a big part of tree surgery. who is this new breed?
you look my dream kinda woman,, i have to say
That battery shit of chains are only good on small trees and if you near home and you must have lot of batteries!! For anything else are disaster
Nostim woman
Your suppose to use it one handed lol
Not if you read the manuals
She said „give a blow“ 😬
