no they were not, there is nothing that can justify dangering players, it's not the leafs fault the goals got called back, bitch and moan all you want but throwing objects at people is dangerous and classless.
I don't condone throwing things onto the ice but this should have been a good goal. There is nothing conclusive about that being interference. Strome's stick touches the pad but that doesn't mean he actually pushed it, the goalie looked like he was already going down. You really think Strome can push the goalie's pad like that with just one hand? The actual reason this was called off was because the call on the ice is no goal. 50/50 calls usually go with what the call on the ice was. If the call on the ice was a good goal then they would have counted it, but nope. Very frustrating loss, especially since this was Hank's retirement game and we would have went into OT.
I don't blame fans for throwing jerseys on the ice. You pay 300+ for a game and the team doesn't even try for the vast majority of the 60 minutes? It's natural to be pissed. Losing isn't a good reason to throw a jersey, but playing like shit on purpose and not showing up for the game is. You are being paid millions of dollars to do your job. You need to do it every shift because these exact fans are paying you.
I get what your saying just me personally would not go as low to throw something on the ice that’s childish. You can boo you can scream but don’t throw crap that could possibly hit someone and hurt them. That be like a player getting so frustrated they throw there stick at the fans
That rangers one I don't get. How was that the right call? Is that a reason to act like a filthy animal over a freakin game? No. But that was a good goal. I saw no goalie interference at all.
Anyone who throws their jersey on the ice because they are pissed off at their team shouldn’t be there 😂. Also pretty despicable to throw something and hit a player that didn’t do anything wrong… hockey fans are either the best or the worst 🙄
The only things allowed to be thrown on the ice are the following Hats (only when someone gets a hat trick) Squid (for Red Wings fans) Rats (for Panthers fans)
That NJ leafs game I believe was rigged should of been a tie game that went to OT no way that was a fair game sports betting and the league pull that little shenanigan I believe
Think about it I know you pay for the tickets and say your a maple leaf fan and you lose don’t throw anything on probably drunk people were throwing that candy on or something
That’s about as frustrating as it gets for New Jersey. All 3 were not goals. Gotta have some composure as fans. It’s beyond brutal breaks. But all 3 were not goals
When you have a shitty team year after year for decades, how can you not get it when fans throw their jerseys on the ice? These players are paid many millions to play and if they don't even try, fans have a right to be upset
While I agree that Devils kick was a no goal, I can't be surprised that the fans hate three goals called off in a row to start acting like assholes. When ever we see this much debris thrown out on the ice. The league needs to either end the game in the favor of the visiting team or simple clear the fans out of the arena. There is no place for this kind of adolescent behavior.

@@dannycarlow8204 Com-on, you know what I meant. Hat's are not debris and neither is one jersey. But the crap we saw in New Jersey is without a doubt, a disgusting act by disgusting fans.
@@ryans413 If a hot dog can hurt someone, a hat could as well. Where do we draw the line? A player could just as easily slip on a hat that was thrown with no regard for the player's safety, all in the name of joy and celebration, and the same can be said for a jersey thrown in the name of anger and frustration. What if a team hat was thrown on the ice in anger? What then? Should the visiting team be given the 2 points because Jimmy threw his hat on the ice at a time other than a hat trick being scored? The players wear a lot of protective equipment. People aren't throwing big rocks or anything. You can't really say you can throw stuff because of one specific emotion but not because of another. I would prefer people didn't throw stuff because it just delays the game and really doesn't make any sense but I understand that people do stupid stuff (not talking illegal stuff, that's not what we're talking about) when whichever emotion is running high. Sometimes it can be perceived as warranted and other times not so much, but they stupidly do it anyway and I can deal with that. @@axlejohnson9156 That's the emotional reaction that sports can produce. I'm not saying it's a good reaction but as in life, you gotta take the good with the bad. Fr like devil won 13 games i a riw i know it is frustrating for fans but your disrespecting the uce and the players
The NHL actually does need them to be there. The NHL is the one that lets it happen.
Loved this Canucks highlights video
Short montage but in this video Jersey fans win for being the biggest jerks. So much shit on the ice, for a call that was easy to make. Canucks and leafs fans always deserve honourable mention.
Seriously, the Vancouver fans literally full out riot and all they get is an honorable mention behind some crap on the ice? Cleaning the ice is a touch easier than what Vancouver had to clean. We don't have much but dammit we have the jerkiest fans. At least Montreal fans rioted for an actual reason. We lost. That's our pathetic jerky reason.
@@dannycarlow8204 I was talking about the clip itself. If you wanna go full historical record, that’s your project.
@@leonardmccannon3136 yeah but u don’t have the context of the came and it’s not really clear cut
@@justindecker9282 very true. Like a juror, I was only going to consider the evidence presented in the clip . That was just for fun. I should have known that would not be ok with everyone else. Lol.
Toronto fan here that was the third goal called back in the game and this ended the 14 game win streak
These types of fans are a disgrace to every sport.
only fans in Canada throw their jerseys on the ice. bunch of crybabys. throwin a jersey on the ice will clearly change your frustration nobody has won a cup in 30 years.
Say what you will but when the announcers call fans idiots for showing their frustration after those fans are what pay the salaries for everyone it hits me wrong
Isnt there enough cameras around that they can identify the idiots doing this?
the first clip goes so well with the background music
Not the jelly beans
Please make a part 2 for this video
Devils had 2 good goals called back. fans were justified.
no they were not, there is nothing that can justify dangering players, it's not the leafs fault the goals got called back, bitch and moan all you want but throwing objects at people is dangerous and classless.
the anger was justified, the throwing never was. Can't risk injuring anyone whether it was theirs' or ours.
I’m surprised it’s not just Philly fans
I was at the game when they threw the jersey and I am a penguins fan
As a Ranger fan, I hate to see my fellow fans acting like that. It wasn’t a good goal.
Throwing the home team's jersey on the ice when they lose during a tough season sends a message and it's cathartic.
That was a good throw with that candy hot dayum
For as much as those overpriced fanatics jerseys cost I will do what I want with mine
The look on Travis Green's face 40 seconds into this video says alot about what Devil's fans will have to endure for the rest of this lost season!
The only things allowed to be thrown on the ice are the following
Hats (only when someone gets a hat trick)
Squid (for Red Wings fans)
Rats (for Panthers fans)
Vancouver maaan
That NJ leafs game I believe was rigged should of been a tie game that went to OT no way that was a fair game sports betting and the league pull that little shenanigan I believe
Think about it I know you pay for the tickets and say your a maple leaf fan and you lose don’t throw anything on probably drunk people were throwing that candy on or something
Why even go to the game if you hate your team that much
To throw stuff. Why else? Letting their message be seen.
From the front it looks like Elias Patterson's helmet is too big
Did you ever throw something on the ice? If so, how did your parents fail you?
What I took away from this is that Vancouver sucks.
These players are paid many millions to play and if they don't even try, fans have a right to be upset
you’re defending fans acting like little kids?
being upset doesn't = throwing jerseys
@@sdfsdf2205 jays rangers 2015 right on the head.
Not many CBJ fans throw their jerseys on the ice. Im not saying it hasnt happend, I just dont know if it has, or how many times.
I scream , cuss and pitch a fit, BUT IF AT THE ARENA I DO NOT TROW ANYTHING.....would YOU want to be the one that hurt your star player(s)?.....
Devil fan here was at the Toronto game. That was absolutely bonkers
It's Vancouver... duh, what do you expect from the worst fan base in the NHL....
While I agree that Devils kick was a no goal, I can't be surprised that the fans hate three goals called off in a row to start acting like assholes. I've been at sports games with consecutive home scores taken back and though I know better to do shit that'll get me kicked out, it's an absolute mood killer.
Fun fact the Winnipeg jets are the only Canadian team not to get jerseys thrown on the ice
Correction Title: NHL fans being disrespectful
When ever we see this much debris thrown out on the ice. The league needs to either end the game in the favor
of the visiting team or simple clear the fans out of the arena. There is no place for this kind of adolescent behavior.
You're right. Hats being thrown for a hat trick delay the game way longer than a jersey being thrown on the ice. The madness needs to stop immediately.
@@dannycarlow8204 I think they were taking about food and beer cans things that could hit players or staff and hurt them.
@@dannycarlow8204 Com-on, you know what I meant. Hat's are not debris and neither is one jersey. But the crap we
saw in New Jersey is without a doubt, a disgusting act by disgusting fans.
I'd rather a bag of candy hit the ice than cars being flipped over and set on fire when they leave the arena.
@@axlejohnson9156 That's the emotional reaction that sports can produce. I'm not saying it's a good reaction but as in life, you gotta take the good with the bad. Just try to make an effort to not be part of the bad. Remember, the term fan comes from the word fanatic. We're all guilty of acting poorly in a time of high emotions at some point in our lives. Nobody died, let's move on to the next disaster. Maybe we should talk more about all the times nothing gets thrown on the ice to balance it out but that would be a short and boring conversation. It's better to harp on the anomaly.
You missed the Dallas stars fans throwing bottles and other stuff on the ice after going down 3-0 to the VGK last playoffs.
As a former Dallas native, that was some shameful bullshit.
I agree the jersey throwing is childish. However, lets not ignore what seems to be more than a coincidence that days after jerseys are thrown on the ice, a gm gets fired.
Doesn't justify throwing things on the ice, but the Devils 3 disallowed goals was ridiculous. Only illegal goal was the kickig motion. And I'm a Rangers fan
Haulas goal wasnt kick goal. Clearly kicked the puck to control it, but it went in from the stick.
It's like buying a bier and someone spills it, you want it replaced, but why one of your most expensive purchases apart from your food.
I find the lack of Trashville fans tossing debris onto the ice after Carl Hagelin's empty netter in the Stanley Cup Finals Game 6 disturbing.
Fans throwing stuff on the ice game should be forfeit
I mean that New Jersey one is a goal in my opinion after he kicks it it goes off of his stick into the net
In the rules though it’s still no goal
It didnt touch his stick at all, which is a requirement after a kicking motion for the play to be upheld. It could bounce off all 5 of those players and go in and still not count since possession wasnt regained by NJ or by the opposing team.
Still a kicking motion that led to the goal. Learn the rules before making your "opinion"
What rule is that? You can kick it to yourself as long as it touches your stick before the goal
It hit his foot and the other persons foot I think in you look closely
I remember watching that Devils game. I completely understand the outrage though...the third call was textbook no goal. However, the other 2 were VERY questionable. Even my dad, A Rangers fan agreed the first 2 calls were BS.
When you serve beer, you attract DRUNKS.
Ranger fans are the reason I'm no longer a rangers fan
lol what
Im a Devils fan who was at the disallowed goal game, those who threw stuff on the ice are disgusting human beings. I may still be pissed about it months later, but I never even thought of throwing stuff on the ice.
I'm more of an NFL fan but I'll say this for the New Jersey fans. Their team is called the Devils and they aren't allowed to be rowdy ever?
I hate when announcers talk down to fans. Fans are the reason they have jobs. Ya they may be acting in a way that u don't agree with but people are passionate and shit happens. There no need to disrespect them
They gotta work longer now because of the fans lol
How are you gonna defend “fans” who are disrupting a match and wasting peoples time. Throwing stuff on a court is dangerous and immature stop defending it.
