    Hello sir I am a critical care SR and have got a job offer from a hospital in NSW. I have a few questions
    1. I've been offered a salary of 130000 AUD how much will be the post tax salary?
    2. I have got 482 short term visa is there a possibility to get PR if I do AMC when I come there and convert to another visa category. Do they count my work done under 482 visa when considering PR?
    What's the cutoff age for PR application for doctors? One of my friends said no cutoff age is it true?
    What's the public school fee for kids in NSW?
    I don't medical cover in this offer? How much would a good medical cover cost, including for emergencies?
    If I can't get visa extension, when I return is there a tax reimbursement? This also I heard form one of my friends?
    I also have got a job from UK with similar salary in Essex with free health care and education which is also a permanent post, but I have already got the Australian visa nomination. If I don't apply after getting the nomination is it a problem for me in the future?

    • @KeerthiKulasekara
      @KeerthiKulasekara  Год назад +2

      1 every doctor gets roughly 30-35% tax deduction or more if you earn more ,for example if one earns 300.000 $ he/she may pay more tax
      2 yes do AMC part 1 and 2 and then cover other areas for gen registration , there is possibility to apply for PR , or if you continue critical care and go on to become a specialist after fellowship you can apply for PR , or another scenario is you go back home , get board certified and come back again as a area of need specialist , there are multiple ways to get PR
      3 generally the age limit is 45 , but for doctors it is not always that strict , some hospitals can and decide to sponsor PR for older doctor s
      4 NSW you have t check with department education website , I live in Vitoria , here the 482 visa holders do not have to pay school fees if I remember correct
      5 take a health insurance , Bupa , Medibank etc provides those
      6 check their websites for basic medical cover , hospital and ambulance included
      7yes when you leave the country they give your tax money back
      8 I don't think so , it would work as an advantage to say , "I got an offer in that hospital in 2022 but did not come here but went to uk etc " . watch my videos I have covered most of your question in some of those

I have 5 years post itern experience in srilanka in a government hospital as a MO/ medicolegal( jmo). I worked in that feild through out my career after internship. And now im following a Msc in Human nutrition at PGIM. Im planning to do AMC next year.
    1. since i dont have clinical experience in emergency, medical or surgical wards, will it matter when applying for a job after completing AMC exam? I had not done any private practice here also.
    2. What are the specialties we can choose there? Is there anything related to nutrition feild for a doctor to do as a postgraduate ?

    1) Working as a doctor, do you have to sign a contract for 1,2 years? I have heard from a friend of mine that we do, and at the end of the year we have to search for another position
    2) Is there a housing crisis? is it easy to find decent accommodation?
    3) What do you honestly prefer, immigrating to Australia or staying in Sri lanka? What is more stressful ?

    • @KeerthiKulasekara
      @KeerthiKulasekara  Год назад +5

      1 yes , but thats the usual process even for local Australian graduates , CV with referees , they will contact your referees for new job
      2. No accomodation available it may not be with all the luxuries in first home but you can find one suited for your requirement
      3. My preference is here that is why I am here , you have to see it for yourself it all depend on what you identify as stress , if it is peer pressure and pressure form seniors or others in the team it is negligible here as every thing is strictly monitored and controlled

      Yes AMC part 1, Part 2 you can get few years experience as hospital doctor while doing part 2 , then you can either enter GP training here witch is a 3 year course but can get reduced to 2 years (with your hospital experience ) for this pathway you do not need PESCI ( you may take 3-4years to do all these )

    2)Can a GP take that kind of leave annually ?
    3)Does a GP have to appoint another GP for work during the leave?
    4) considering number of patients a GP working in rural areas and a GP working in cities is there a different regarding easiness and number of days a GP can take leave?

      There is a role called GP anaesthetists . You could easily join it and get a PR sponsored by the GP clinic or the town you work in ( area sponsored VISA) . There is no age limit for sponsored PR . Recently one of my friends got PR sponsored when his age is 57 years
