Good content. The clamp on style isn’t for me, but you had lots of good details in there for us. Love to see a follow up video once the rack is removed for paint condition.
99% of pickup roofs were NOT made to support of roof rack or have holes drilled into it. It is unsafe, weakens the roof and sets you up for problems. The strut style like this are the ONLY intelligent answer. Great video
Good looking rack. A question. Do you know, are there any cab roof racks that can support a pop up roof top tent, including with one or two adults sleeping inside it?
That’s a great question and I’m not sure. When you open the sunroof does it open into the roof or on top? The roof rack is about 1.5” from the top of the roof. I’m not sure how the sunroofs operate.
That’s pretty helpful. Taking measurements, in vent orientation the glass sits about .875 above the roof and when fully opened sits 1.375 so danger close.
So for anyone wondering, I went on a limb and ordered the rack. While you can use your sunroof in vent orientation, it will not work with the roof fully open without some modification :( @@WaterFowler41
I don't know the weight capacity but since this is a clamp style and not a direct bolt in, I wouldn't advise a RTT. Those are better suited for a purpose built bed rack.

Current running without the rack and no issues with the paint. The rubber coating is pretty good on the legs.

Super clean fit and finish!
Appreciate it!
What’s the weight rating for this rack?
Trying to figure out a roof top tent for 22’ GMC sierra 1500
Great video. Really helped me to mount my new rack. Thanks !
Great to hear, enjoy the rack!

I would take a look at the prinsu rack. It bolts into the truck and is a permanent install but definitely a quality rack that should meet your needs.
You think this roof rack could take a 150-200lbs roof tent?
👍👍 did you get a new set of wheels...again 🤣. Looks good.
Good eye!
Do you know if it’s compatible with the sunroof for those that have the option?

@davebruton2192 yeah that’s a little too close for comfort.

The vans all have built in locations for mounting things. Even SUVs commonly have rack mount. I wonder why trucks don't?
Some used to back in the day like gm’s but I have no idea why they stopped. Tacoma’s have good provisions still…
@@WaterFowler41 Thank you. Mostly looking at the ram for the megacab.
Thanks for your truck videos, does this roof rack match the height of the adarac bed racks? Do you think you'd use them together? Thanks
Haven't tried it yet to be honest. This summer if I still have my Rebel, I will throw everything on it and test it out.
I want to get this rack, but.... with removal of the gutter trim, does it leak water into the exposed clips since the trim piece wasn't put back in..
I never had any issues with leaks and ran this rack up until I sold the truck
Looks great
So it looks like the L brackets are metal on metal in the door? Want the damage the paint on the interior of the door on the body of the truck?
At 2:18 I cover the brackets and point out how GoRhino designed them not to scratch the paint.
Can you add back some of the molding strips on the roof?
Yup, you can easily trim it so it can be reinstalled and clean up the look. I may buy a second set of trim and trim them to fit
Csc you add a roof top tent to it.. what is the weight capacity?

I know you said 2 1/2 in taller in the center. What’s the height on the sides?
Off hand I don't know but the 2.5" was measured at the highest roof space so laterally its 2.5" across the tallest portion of the hood tot he sides.
Thank you. I ended up purchasing one @@WaterFowler41
@javiercornejo7927 it’s a great buy, hopefully my coupon code helped you save some $$
So its just kind of clipped to the roof - not bolted to the roof - does it feel secure?
Cost?
Correct.
Around $755 using WATERFOWLER41 at check out. For reference the Prinsu rack is $900+ and requires drilling so the GoRhino rack gets my vote!
@@WaterFowler41 thank you!
Hi
How much height does it add?
About 2.5”
Would it fit a 2022 2500 bighorn crew cab?
You'll have to check with GoRhino (Real Truck) to verify. I am not totally sure and I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction.
Hows it holding up??
Very well!
@@WaterFowler41 I think I'm going to go this route
@zachstafford4792 there’s a sale current and I believe my coupon code works on top of the sale price!
Is your coupon code expired now?
GoRhino was acquired by real truck so I’m working with the RT team to see if they can reactivate the codes, no eta unfortunately
@@WaterFowler41 Code still isn't active. I'm holding out hope, because that's a damn good deal.
Dangit :( this doesn't appear to fit a 2016 4th gen ram 1500's
@waterfowler doea you code for go rhino ceros still works?
No not since they were acquired by RealTruck.
