@ you’re right. Disney wasn’t the first to romanticize true stories, and I do remember the movie Anastasia, and I do agree that they did a pretty good job representing natives with dignity. However, they should’ve never use the Pocahontas story and white washed it to make it look like something that it wasn’t. At least with Anastasia, they were relatively honest about what really happened to her family, and played on the rumor at that time with Anastasia still being alive but missing (even though we know that she was killed with her family).
One of the criticisms that Disney gets a lot is that they’re too woke especially nowadays. I lowley feel that they had woke moments years ago and that’s evident in my recommendation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
I don't think there is anything that needs explained for kids. Just tell them this is a work of fiction not a historical biography. Kids aren't dumb. They know the difference between the two. I feel like adults in general nowadays do not trust the intelligence of kids. They can handle a little bit of nuance. It is a good story. They are not pretending it is a documentary on the History Channel. Stop watching it like it is then complain.

In the promotions it always said an "American. Legend come to life" Not a true story come to life. The Anastasia movie is also romanticized but nobody ever critiqued that movie for some reason. The actor Russell Means who played Powhatan, stated this was the first Hollywood film that represented natives with dignity. So I would say they did a good job considering everything. The only thing I can't forgive is the second Pocahontas movie

Avatar copy pasted this straight up

💯💯💯 Awesome
Don’t forget Die Hard with a Vengeance
@@ChromeBone23 one of my favorites
React to the Wild Robot! It’s so good.
One of the criticisms that Disney gets a lot is that they’re too woke especially nowadays. I lowley feel that they had woke moments years ago and that’s evident in my recommendation of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Can yall pls react to Oz the Great and Powerful, The Great Wall, Jack the Giant Slayer and The Pirates of the Caribbean?🙏🙏
I wanna see all those two. Did you know Disney at one point was gonna do an animated movie on Jack and the Beanstalk?
@@bighand1530 Well, they did do Mickey and the beanstalk in 1947, only 23 minutes though.
watch the second one, i wont say its good or anything but i just wanna see the reactions lol
Stop watching it like it is then complain.
can you please react to get out (2017)
Pocahontas was not her real name. Her name was Matoaka. She was 11 years old when she was taken. John Smith & the settlers threatened to invade her people's village. When they came back, they took Matoaka.
Matoaka will spend her whole life being trafficked across Europe. In fact, she was sold to the Royal Crown in England. The same family who Queen Elizabeth is from.
The Royal Family told Matoaka that she will eventually return home. She never did.
Matoaka's grave is currently at the Buckingham palace. Her people keep asking for her remains back, but the Royal Family claim her remains belong to the Crown. To make it worse, Buckingham Palace claims they do not know where Matoaka's remains are.
Matoaka is considered the first Missing & Murdered Indigenous Girl.
This is why I don't like the movie Pocahontas. People would be saying something different if it was a white girl or a black slave. I don't care what people think. You were ignorant enough to watch a Disney movie that sugar coats slavery & human trafficking.
You should post video disney Mulan 2 2004 0:28 please
Please react movie: troy and memorie of a murder.
