Some of the cards might be popular enough to withstand market downturn. Or maybe they are all being bought up by uneducated collectors who believe this is the last chance to buy at this price. It’s any good alt art right now they are all booming and I’m starting to feel the regret of not buying more of them when I could. 😂
@orionsires it's just the current hype, I saw another video apparently a Goku from the dragon ball TCG at its hype it sold for an upwards of $15k, absolutely absurd. But now the most recent sale was around $900. Eventually another card will attract the hype and everyone is going to lose interest. Hype dies, so will the market value. Because the PSA pop won't carry it. BGS and CGC Pristines would probably hold the value because of the lower pop report. I'd say invest in CGC/BGS Pristines long term for modern lol. Lower pop report longer longevity. Although I'm just predicting 😂

If they can make money then it means that it is a viable investment and that they’re helping "True collectors/fans" collection value, why would a true collector/fan be mad about their life long massive collection increasing in value?

If the market crashed/dropped all theses new flippers and investors would shit bricks getting stuck with all the products they bought up trying to make money on. The frustrating part to fans is the availability and super inflated prices that have to be paid to do something they grew up enjoying.

Trust me a lot of people felt like I was one of those people just coming and going for the hype. It will pass and who remains is going to continue being the fan base and prices for alot of things will correct but for now it is somewhat upsetting seeing prices move so drastically. It’s great for investing sure but if you’re just trying to have fun everyone is making that harder by going all in on it. This is the new normal in the hobby. Everyone is piling on to whatever the next hottest thing is. Greninja ex was SO hype, well nobody cares now because there’s a pika ex Tera.. and soon eeveelutions Tera, it’s a constant pull of capital from collectors and I don’t even know how people can afford this hobby at this point. I run a full time business and make decent money and even for me it’s a turn off the prices of new modern chase cards. I can’t justify it so I stick with vintage. But eventually I will buy modern stuff and focus on it and I’m terrified of what the prices will be of some of these over printed high population alts/sirs… it’s crazy but anyways that’s for another video 😂❤️😎

You should look at old Japanese exclusive promos, a lot of them are cheaper than modern chase cards.
