    15:18 "Mindreading" I can't say if this is NPD or BPD but it's a clusterB vitamin of some sort: When I'm in the silent treatment for the hundredth time, and I've stopped chasing my partner to ask, "Are you mad? Did I do something wrong?" because I know asking will only result in more silence... chasing is a form of enabling because I'd be breathing life into the manipulation. so I learned to not react, I kept to myself until the storm passes.. in the meantime, I am forced to hear doors slamming and feet stomping, and the exaggerated melodramatic sighs of aggravation.. I think it's safe to assume that they are furious, but they'll never tell you why, because once it passes they pretend it never happened, that everything is A-OK. Challenging the behavior, calling them, out would only escalate the situation. It would throw fuel on a fire. ..and so, I just swept it under the carpet with the rest of the trash. I guess avoidance is also a form of enabling. It's a lose-lose scenario.

      @@gangGreenthumb When my ex narcissistic husband would heavy breathe or was being manipulative to get my attention, I would ask wtf his problem is. If he didn’t want to communicate, I would tell him to stfu with his breathing and act normal. See, I didn’t give a f*Kc with conflict. So he would say the thing or act right.

      @@cLuStErBMiLkShAkE Unfortunately (for me) I did care. I'm a people-pleaser/codependent and would take on her emotions on as my own.. at least initially. Towards the end, I didn't GAF either because it became clear there was no right answer. And that's when crap went downhill real fast because I was no longer an active participant in the regulation of her emotions. I entered the sustained deval- no more breadcrumbs. I no longer cared at that point, I had given up on the relationship.
      Now I'm trying to fix myself, and I'm "less" of a people-pleaser. Or, at least I'm more aware and try to refrain from taking on the problems of others.

    After self-awareness would you consider going back to one ex to make it happen successfully? You say you don't care anymore. Would you then rather start with sb anew?

    • @cLuStErBMiLkShAkE
      @cLuStErBMiLkShAkE  26 дней назад +2

      I would not go back to any ex after trying ONCE. This happened three different times. One worked out after I worked on my boundaries and enabling (25 years together), one only lasted 5 months after I went back, and the last one didn't want me back. I'm grateful for all my relationships bc they taught me more about myself, what I need to change, and what I should never tolerate again.
      Starting new sucks. I was cool with it back in the day bc I didn't care that I had to trick men into wanting to be with me. Now I know that men don't want you unless they are tricked.

    • @kizombaholic
      @kizombaholic 26 дней назад

      Thanks for your detailed answer. I'm not sure about men needing to be tricked to be with a person who knows herself and has done so much in the path to self awareness and healing as you do. I think there's a lot of confusion out there too. I learned that I will never tolerate abuse anymore. Last one made me change my patterns... Thanks for your nice videos and your know how.

    When you say you feel betrayed at 56' and you just step out of the fantasy. Does this mean you are done with your partner? Ready to move on? I mean does the end of the fantasy means your perception of their falling short and you'd rather build up the fantasy with someone else?
