Many thanks and hugs to Catherine for sharing her bouts of anxiety. I suffer from anxiety and find her videos to be 'grounding' and have a calming effect on me. Her confession probably helped 1,000 people realize they are not alone. Big hugs to you both! 🌻🥀🌻

Side note: I actually love the sound of saws, wood working etc. My daddy use to do weekend projects and knowing he was home and making projects was my safe sounds. I relax at night by watching people build cabins. It helps me calm down enough to sleep.

I love listening to Midsomer Murder. If i have house work to do or painting a room, listening to something you have seen it's great.
When it comes to the garden, you will never get it right , there are soooo many ways to do the same thing, so just do what works for you. I was given a shed last July... I finished it last week. I didn't have the money to finish it sooner. But now i see it and love the way it looks. These videos are so good. You both should be so proud of yourselves, you are brave girls for sure. Xx

Gardening is a constant learning experience. There is always something more we can learn or try differently. It would be good to have as much knowledge to draw on a trained horticulturist but even they would be trying new things and learning. The plant world is so big I don't think anyone would know everything.
I enjoyed your chat . It was fun, interesting and went quickly so that says it all 🌻
I also love wandering around my garden when thinking things through and it is always calming.

The wellness chat is so spot on. For me I've placed herbs throughout so when I do a little wellness lap of my garden I rub the leaves and get all the different smells. Definitely the act of touching the plants too just calms me so much. I absolutely use my garden as a wellness exercise and I find it so so powerful. Like you say it activates all the senses and real grounds you ❤

I use to get massive depression and suicidal thoughts along with anxiety. When it got so bad i couldn't walk because i was shaky and dizzy. I would literally crawl to my garden grab handfuls of soil and lay in the grass. I needed more than delicate flowers i needed hardy handfuls of soil!!! God bless you both with peace and joy. 🕊🫒

Hello Dears ❤❤ I simply love your chitchats. I was so happy to see that it is 1,5 hours long.. they are just way to short otherwise. And I love seeing you two interact. It is wonderful and just so much fun. A podcast would just not be the same. I agree with the changing of humans' behaviour. And i must unfortunately say, it is not just online anymore. One has indeed to be careful what one shares.. online and offline. There is often not much sense of community and supporting each other anymore and cheering each other on. There is often so much drama and negativity nowadays. Since i cant change other people i can only work on not letting that get to me and be a kind person whatsover. I have found Catherine's channel a year or so ago and love every one of her videos and since she shared your account, i started watching yours too. And i love yours just as much. No matter what the topic it never gets boring. I am always looking forward to your and Catherin's videos or instagram posts. Your personality is also just as wonderful. No wonder you two became such good friends. I adore people who love gardening and stick to getting better at it. I do not have a green thumb at all and due to several chronic illnesses i am just not able to be consistent about caring for plants and keeping them alive and thriving. But i sure love watching you doing it. Just watching gives me a peace of mind already. I love nature. I just moved into a rented flat in an old farmhouse on a lovely dead-end-street end of last year. There are trees and greenery in the front and back yard. And it's the first time i got a balcony. I just started using it after making it pretty. Sitting on my balcony and listening to the rustling of leaves, watching birds flying around and listening to them is my piece of heaven right there. I wanna get a few flower pots for the balcony soon. I don't give up trying thanks to you both. I just wanna say a big THANK YOU for all you do and all you share. Lots of love from Germany ❤❤❤

Love these chats! Thanks for keeping it real and for the laughter!
Re: the comment about purchasing ladybugs - it's kind of a waste unless you have a polytunnel as it's not like they understand property boundaries once you let them loose. Lol. Better to plant plants that attract them into your garden naturally. Also, the clay pot watering thingie you were talking about is called an Oya. You can also get clay water spouts that screw on like a lid onto a large plastic bottle (or whatever size you have handy) and you shove them into the soil and it does essentially the same thing as the Oya - slowly releases the water deep in the soil. Lastly, just confirming that you can use all parts of the Nasturtium plant - the flowers are great on salads and soups - anywhere you want a little peppery kick (borage flowers are also edible and great in salads and on cakes). The seeds can be pickled and the leaves make great chips - like kale chips, only better. Lol.

    • @Lovelygirliebits

We all relate to you girls because you are like we were when we were younger, some of us are still like that. I truly love listening to the both of you. Such a valuable conversation. Thank you for all that you do as individuals to bring such pleasure 🙏🏻 I , myself, find that I do not message too frequently because I realise how valuable your time is to actually have a relatively normal day. I enjoy watching the channels that you both have, because my gardening skills are very similar. I call it my gambling habit. Sometimes the plants live and sometimes they don't. It costs a considerable amount to garden, let alone the effort and dealing with weather conditions 😅
My weather conditions are somewhat similar at the moment. We did have a 10yr (or more) drought that has wonderfully ended and so now I can plant more. I have over one acre of garden and it keeps expanding 😅 I am truly fortunate to be where I am.
By the way, did you notice the pretty bird that is in the film clip at 1:26:28 it is totally at home ❤

You would die laughing reading the auto English subtitles that pop up while you girls were doing the garden stroll before you sat to chat. I had to turn it off because it was so distracting.
I used pea straw under my strawberry plants to keep the fruit off the soil. But the pea straw was scattered with seeds, which promptly grew as soon as I watered the plants. I spent hours weeding the grasses out of the straw.
There have been lots of complaints last spring because one of the commercial compost makers had loads of weeds grow from their compost. Gardeners were complaining out loud.

I don’t understand why people say not nice things in the comments. And say what the you tuber is doing wrong, which is just the commenters opinion! These as things I believe they would not say in person. I so appreciate all the work you both put into coming up with content for your videos. I enjoy them so much.

There a many studies that show that being in out in nature helps with anxiety and is great for self care and relaxation.I have chronic pain and lavender is something that though doesn't cure it, helps with soothing symptoms I have from it. Really like your channel and your chit chats.

As always, so fun to sit with you ladies and a cup of tea. I too have made multiple IG accounts for all the things I'm interested in, it is helpful to target the right audience, connecting with like minded people, but also for you to follow like minded people on each account you have, so your feed is better curated by the algorithm. I'll definitely come follow your garden account with mine! Love connecting with others who are passionate about the same things.
