Usually I listen to most garden channels and your Catherine at 1.5 speed just cuz I busy impatient etc. But you two together I had to go down to regular speed bc I couldn’t understand anything lolz. #abitofanaccent
So glad we gave you a giggle Tracey! At the moment, it'll be every month, so next month it'll be over on Catherine's channel and then in June, it'll be back here and so on!
Hi, Karen. This is Marie from Washington State, USA. I subscribe to Catherine's RUclips channel. I always love when you make an appearance in her videos. Your Chit Chat together is a pure delight. Keep them coming!
No laugh gets to your funny bone as well as a snort laugh. You bothered just a joy. Love this and learned some things too. So Lovely and fun. More please!
My daddy once pruned my dogwoods like shrubs. I cried! I am such a natural I guess. I love whimsical and non-symmetrical gardens. I think that’s why I love cottage gardens and of course the traditional cottage flowerings.
Love you 2 together many hugs ! Big fan of Catherine channel , I guess I found me another good you tuber ,So adorable your relationship, it was meant to be ! Hope to see more !❤
Never watched this type of video before, but really enjoyed you two, never laughed so much , you are a real tonic. Had to agree with Karen, when I plant up my garden, I want it to look good NOW, so everything looks crowded after a year and then I have to do my " Christian Barnard" as I call it and do a load of transplanting. It's great to be getting back into the garden for another year. Happy Gardening xx
Girls what a laugh! I've been following Catherine for some time now but will now follow you too Karen! I'm a hopeless gardener - I'm 66 just retired and would love to have green fingers. Both my sisters and best friend are brilliant gardeners so I'm lost when it comes to gardening knowledge but I hope to shuffle along with you two as I'm really impressed with your knowledge now! Really enjoyed this and looking forward to the next one!
I just turned 54 at the end of March, and I got into gardening hard core in 2021. Prior to 2021, I had planted a few rose bushes here and there, but that was it. Last yr, I decided to try growing food in containers just to see if I could. Well, we had a SERIOUS drought here in Tx which taught me a TON, but I got a pretty decent harvest from all my veggies. Fast fwd to the winter of 22/23, and I had my hubby building me 6 raised beds for me to grow food again this yr. Then I saw the David Austin rose gardens in the UK from a channel I follow called Rose Geek that visited them, and I was INSPIRED! I went to my hubby and asked him to build me some rose arbors like they have. We started building them in March over our front sidewalk and completed them in early April, 2023. I ordered 12 climbing roses from David Austin, and finally got them all planted in the ground last week. I also created a brand new flower bed in a quarter moon around my mailbox and have plans to make two other big flower beds in our backyard this year as well. If that wasn’t enough to keep me busy, I planted the following in my new raised beds: tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, onions, herbs, corn, green beans, peas, potatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, strawberries, blueberries, and cantaloupe that I mostly grew from seed. All this to say, that I knew NOTHING about growing food and next to nothing about most other plants, but thru dedication, perseverance, and the thirst for knowledge, I’ve learned a lot and have grown and expanded what I’m doing every yr since the gardening bug bit me so hard in 2021. U CAN DO THIS so hang in there, soak up everything ur sisters and best friend share with u, and take it one step at a time until one day u’ll look at how far u’ve been able to come in a short time and be so stinking proud of what u’ve accomplished! It has become a labor of love and has brought me such peace and joy so from one new gardener to another, u go, girl! 💞💐
It can be overwhelming Mary, I totally get it! And we get overwhelmed too because there's so much to learn, but we're taking it project by project, section by section and experimenting as that's how we'll learn. The best of luck with your gardening journey and keep us posted on how you get on!
Fabulous job, ladies, such a treat to see the two of you chatting. Questions for your consideration: 1- best outdoor paint 2- would you ever paint terracotta or even plastic pots 3- favourite noncomedogenic sunscreen 4- propagating dahlias Cannot wait for the next episode!🌿🐝🐦 Zone 8b USA (coastal)
"Cowboy gardeners" 🤣🤣🤣hilarious!!! Love you both separately but together you had me smiling and giggling throughout the whole video😆🥰 great chat ladies. Thank you for taking us along on your gardening journey!
This was so lovely listening to you both giggling and chatting together. Next time you should do an evening chat with a cheeky cider/Guinness and nibbles. Lots of silliness to be had. X
Such a great time listening to you girls. I’m in between houses and living in an apartment. I’m getting my garden fix by watching y’all. Keep up the good work and keep having fun. From Texas
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed the chit chat. You are both so natural and warm. Clearly you are great friends. So many of us are amateur gardeners and actually often remember tips from fellow amateurs from our experiences rather than professionals. So looking forward to the next chat. Enjoy your gardening and friendship. 😊
I had to stop the video a 1/4 way in to go make coffee so I could have a proper sit-down chat with you. I love this idea and look forward to the next one you two do.
Since you both love tulips, I didn’t know if you were aware that you can buy the Easter table setting pots that they sell at the grocery or big box store and plant them directly in the ground. That way it takes the guesswork out of where those tulips will pop up next year. Great chat! Please continue!
Loved the laughs😂. My favorite spring flower is creeping phlox. Mauve colour. Now I have a new set of videos to watch. Looking forward to the next one.
Hi Girls it was so lovely sitting down with a cuppa tea and watching the chat. You two are such good friends and it really shines through. Looking forward to the next one. I’ve subscribed to you Karen and looking forward to catching up with your videos. Thank you both. 🥰
Brilliant girls so loving this❤❤❤ and don't talk to me about lettuce I planted my first lot of vegetables last year to "try it out" omg I was invaded by frigging lettuces only 8 plants in a large pot this year ha ha 😂😂😂
Hi, I'm in Nottinghamshire in the UK and have been watching Catherine for a while now and love all her makes and gardening. Catherine, you're a fiend on that lawnmower, you're addicted girl! Loving the two of you together, give us more!!
I would love to hear the two of you talk more about your wall Catherine and you girls are a hoot! So you both talked about which plant you liked the best and which ones you didn’t what I would like to know with those that you liked the best How many plants did you plant before you realize those are the ones that were your #1-100%, I have to have those again I need to add more to them? And do all of your plants both of you do you stick to what the plant says as far as climate soil and your area or do y’all have plants that belong in other climate zones that grow really well in your yards and how do you figure that out? again enjoyed listening to you to chat and I can’t agree with a couple of ladies that talk about you’ll need a podcast because you’re just talked and did a really fun. Good time with it enjoyed. Thanks and have a great day. Can’t wait to see what y’all do next!❤❤
You two are so much fun. Love the chit chat. Being from Texas I thought it was funny you are "Cowboy Gardeners" . Do you live close to each other? Have you planned any travel? If so where would you like to visit? Have a great week. Enjoyed the video.
Loved this. I also despise bearded Iris. I bought a house that so many established iris...I have been digging them up and giving them to anyone that will take them for two years now. Lol.
How do you start your raised beds? Do you put layers of wood or leaves in first or is it all soil? Would you please do a bed video showing all the steps.
I’m with Catherine, I have a dislike of Begonias too. It’s something to do with their plasticy leaf texture and their blousiness 😂 it also makes me think it’s an old persons flower. (Even though I’m old myself 😆) Love your chats….I’ve watched this twice 🌺🌸🌺
I loved this..just the fact that you talk like you always do (I’m guessing) and you are like hanging out with friends!! I loved this.. l that’s what she said” lol! You two crack me up, your laughing. So much fun!

I think I want "Cowboy Gardeners" and " The Chats" merch...definitely I'll be your first customer, and podcast... I don't know about Monty Donn shaped hug, but your warmth and laughter are infections ❤
You’d swear they were two beers in ye’re hands. 😂😂😂 As gardeners I’d say twas the blind leading the blind. Exactly where most of us are at ! I’m thoroughly enjoying both ye’re channels!
I just found both of you❣️ So adorable to watch and laugh along with you🥰 I have a tendency to over plant and I always start way to many. But they always find a spot 😂
If you're interested in having your front garden like a small allotment have a look at "Spicy Moustache. " Especially his earlier ones as he did this in his small London front garden. He's also great for garden tips etc. - Frances
You gals should consider doing a podcast together 💯 It would be at the top of my listening list.
Could you imagine! It would be us just laughing at ourselves! But you never know!

We really do speak so fast!!
Any suggestions for finding affordable pots that are actually nice? Or adapting horrible plastic pots to look good?
This is perfect. Such a laugh.
Im looking forward to this every week.
Its like sitting with my best pals but not saying anything 🤣
So glad we gave you a giggle Tracey! At the moment, it'll be every month, so next month it'll be over on Catherine's channel and then in June, it'll be back here and so on!
