    I have used inositol for a month now and my back acne is almost completely gone. Just dark spots left! I'm excited to see results after I take it longer. I know I need to also change my diet. Working on that too.

    I was diagnosed with PCOS in my 20’s. My periods were always irregular. I did not do well on metformin as my allergies were severe. I was able to have one biological child after having multiple miscarriages. When I lifted weights I tend to eat better.

    I have PCOS and it was diagnosed by chance due to blood tests that detected higher testosterone levels. I was unknowingly managing it quite well by eating a low carb diet. Metformin seems to have other benefits to prevent cancer and other diseases. I’m considering taking it again.

    Hi Kait!
    I’ve been following the Carnivore diet for nearly three months now, and I’m feeling amazing. After years of being on and off vegan, I ended up with hormonal imbalances, leading to PCOS and other health issues.
    Could you share if Maca Root, iodine, and Myo-inositol are safe to take while on a Carnivore diet?
    I’m very satisfied with this way of eating and plan to continue long-term, but I’ll be consulting a specialist soon to see what they recommend as well.
    Also, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge and spreading the truth! Your videos have been such a blessing to me!

    Can you have PCOS and not have high testosterone? Also forgive me if im uniformed. If men who transition to women can take hormones and get rid of hairy areas on their body can the same not be done for those of us with Hirsutism? My obgyn basically just recommened traditional hair removal options.

      Do you have any other hormone out of wack? You are probably just hairy and can do laser?Is your doctor an endocrinologist? I would advise to go to an endocrinologist.

    So, the only thing I was ever prescribed was Metformin. I think 750mg. I have trouble swallowing pills, but they also made me sick. Stopped taking them shortly after starting. Is berberine hard to get down, and does it make someone sick? I really need to do something. I think I have E.O.E as well. The doctors we have in town don't care about PCOS. I feel so inflamed. I need some kind of relief and bust through this weight plateau as well.

    Question, so with pcos I know you said constantly eating/snacking keeps our insulin high but I also want to improve my metabolism which they said I should be eating every few hours . Soo how should I go about that ? Is more so about the type of snacks to have throughout the day ?

      Eating frequently doesn’t increase your metabolism. Not restricting calories does. I did a video on this a few weeks ago

    How do you gain weight with pcos (as someone who struggles to gain weight but needs to) if you have to limit carbs and avoid snacking? Not much people talk about this because most of the people with PCOS have it the other way around and are advised to lose weight.

    Do you have any idea why inositol caused major gut disturbances for me? I had gotten to a very good spot with my gut health before starting taking it (it was the only new thing added) and it absolutely wrecked me. All the bloating and severe constipation returned. It took months after I stopped taking it for my body to re-regulate. Any ideas why that would have happened? I only found a handful of other people who experienced similar issues.

    Hey Coach Kait! So I’m currently insulin resistant. I am naturally an active person who loves to workout, be outdoors, and lift weights. However, due to IR (as a result of taking a certain medication I was taking for a while) I’m fatigued and I’ve gained 45 lbs. I started eating keto recently, but I’m feeling a bit weak physically. I’m worried I may have switched to the other extreme in terms of diet. And I’m wondering, would it be possible to see a difference if I were to simply eat less carbs and sugars and more proteins and fats in general (more like just keeping an eye out/being intentional) rather than specifically targeting

    Hi Thank you your channel is very resourceful and informative. I have a question. From the time I get up in the morning my blood sugar is around 120 md/ dl when I start to work it goes up on its own up to 134 mg/ dl. I fast everyday from 10:00 PM until 6:00 PM i eliminated cards and sugar when I eat after 3 hpurs my blood sugar drops down to between 95 to 115 mg/ dl. I have been in this cycle for 4 months. And never saw my blood sugar getting better. My A1C is 6.4%. And what should I do ?

    • @Hertz2laugh
      @Hertz2laugh 2 месяца назад

      Do you have a measurement of your A1C before you changed your diet?
      In other words, do you know if your A1C is changing or do you just have this one A1C data point?
      Also, it's just as important, if not more important to track your insulin levels than it is to track blood sugar levels.
      I highly recommend checking your insulin levels every 90 days (if you have the money).
      ■ Fasting insulin test
      The goal is to get your insulin below 5 uIU/mL
      Another good test is the ADIPO-IR test.
      It calculates your level of insulin resistance.
      It can detect insulin resistance before most other tests.
      Also, blood sugar levels are always high in the morning.
      It is a natural way your body boosts energy to wake up and get going.
      If you have a stressful job, that might explain why your blood sugar levels go up when you go to work.
      Stress can trigger cortisol which automatically raises blood sugar levels.
      In other words, your body is trying to give you the energy you need to deal with the stressful situation.
      Can you provide a couple of examples of everything you eat in a day?
      Are you on any medications?

    • @leni0210
      @leni0210 2 месяца назад

      Higher blood sugar in the morning is not uncommon, its called dawn phenomenon and it happens due to the body releasing cortisol to wake you up which causes a raise i blood glucose. However, it should not be as high as 120 and your blood glucose seems to be in the borderline diabetic range throughout the day. Fasting for 8 hours might not be enough, try 16:8 or even longer (the longer, the better). Are you eating low carb/keto? Do you exercise regularly, as in lifting weights and doing HIIT? Are you reducing your overall stress levels? All of these are important factors when it comes to blood sugar levels, but you also might need medication like metformin to get your levels in check.
      I managed to get my blood sugar baseline from 95-100 md/dl down to the higher 80's range by doing OMAD for a few weeks and fasting 18-20 hours per day, cutting out sugars and lowering carbs down to 50gr per day. I exercise 4-5 times a week (a mix of resistance training and HIIT cardio with RUclips videos) Now I switch between 16:8 fasting and OMAD and I feel SO much better No more blood sugar crashes after eating even with higher carb meals, more energy, better skin, mood...And it just took a few tweaks in my lifestyle!
