this one is totally same as 200d with some extra features e.g. 4k i cant believe he dint mentioned the biggest form factor is that this camera model is amazingly light weight. the best for vlogging and film making. 200d is the lightest camera model comparing to any canon camera model.
Both have bad af in 4K. M50 has a poor battery life because of the optical viewfinder while 200d ii has a very good battery life. Plus there is something about using a small camera it's doesn't give as much as a videographer feel. M50 uses efm lenses which are not many and are very expensive, 200D ii uses efs lenses which are not very expensive and have a lot of variety. You can even attach high end cine lenses to 200d ii.

Is this same as 250D / SL3? If yes, then the improvements do not justify the cost until you desperately want 4k. Also, the HOTSHOE is now such that 3rd party accessories like flash can't be used.

Both the cameras have exactly the same video capabilities and the exact same sensor, both shoot 4k without dual pixel AF, and both shoot 1080p 60 with dual pixel auto focus. Instead the 200d(II) uses a bigger battery(LP-e12 vs LP-e17) and has a wider support for canon e mount lenses and does not need to use a converter for the canon lenses unlike the m50. Also the 200D (II) is cheaper. Hence the 200d is obviously better than the m50.

Depends upon the quality of the video. For 4k video it lasted for 1.5 hours for me.
