Cliff Williams bass playing is definitely an anchor for the band BizMan!!!!!! He is like Malcom he didn’t want the spotlight but just wanted to play solid riffs and just be part of the big FORMULA put in place with his long flowing white hair!!!!!!! A master at his craft!!!!! Just saying!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!! 🎸🎸👍😎🍸
So funny story about that. Back in the late 80’s it is a Saturday morning 10:00 am. I am outside in my front yard swinging my 7 iron waiting for my buddies to pick me up to go golfing! I was listening to AC/DC BACK in Black album real real loud. Like full blast my pioneer stereo would crank. This neighbor came flying over his fence yelling at me to turn that shot down or I will kick your ass! I said really dude I have a 7 iron in my hand and I hit that club the best out of my bag. He said I am going to call the cops. I said please do they will laugh at you there is no noise ordnance until 10:00 pm. He was pissed. Have a great day!
The bass line grabs you like an octopus, wraps you up and wont let go. Angus and Malcolm punched us in the head for 50 years and we keep coming back for more. Thank you guys. BizMat keep rockin. I like your takes man.
I love this song. It’s underrated. I read somewhere that they didn’t really like this track as it is kind of disco sounding. But it was a step to go commercial. Either way I love it. The KING BON SCOTT ⚡️
AC DC never fails to set the hook. Doesn’t matter what song in their entire catalog, there will be something in there to get your head bobbing. I love your reactions, so real and visceral.
LIVE WIRE is my fave Bon Scott era AC/DC song (forget which album it was on) but this one has a helluva good bass line. Once you get into AC/DC you're into AC/DC. Even if some of the songs don't warrant such devotion. Doesn't matter. They took a bar band sound and elevated it to stadium hysteria. Incredible band.
Bass player is Cliff Williams. He joined AC/DC for the Powerage album. Bon was a drummer prior to AC/DC and played bagpipes on It’s a long way to the top. Love Hungry Man and Get it Hot are two of my favorites from this album, but I can say that about most of the songs on this album.
Cliff joined in 1977 replacing Dave Evans and in my opinion a far superior bassist and one who sealed this band TIGHT!!!! first time i saw them was in 1985 for Blow up your Video tour and 9 times after that!!!
great groove in this one no surprise there, 70's AC/DC is next level. Back in Black is a great album but i can't say i followed much after that! i'm just thankful for all the great material that they left us....
I think most people would agree Back in Black is a masterpiece but after that AC/DC was kind of hit and miss. An occasional decent album here and there and an occasional great song here and there but it will never compare to the Bon Scott era.
Cliff Williams...with the Awesome Bass line.....And The Young Brothers....Shredding it on guitars... First song he ever heard was BACK IN BLACK. Then he started his channel with THUNDERSTRUCK. He’s been an Angus Young SUPER FAN SINCE. But I have to wait 4 months before he does another ACDC song. So from here on out, I’m your #1 Fan!! Chris Stone, Billings Montana!!
The first all song is my favorite on the album! Night Prowler is amazing. Also, you should definitely go back to the studio version of If you want blood instead of the demo version
Bon Scott was a drummer. Off & on, he would get behind the drumset when the Young brothers were working out new material, and the rest of the band was gone. He actually drummed with Malcolm & Angus as they wrote the music for the song BACK IN BLACK, which would ultimately become AC/DC's tribute to and requiem for Bon. Remember IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP IF YOU WANNA ROCK & ROLL? That's Bon Scott on the bagpipes. And yes, Robert Plant plays guitar. He said that you don't write and tour with Jimmy Page for 11 years without learning a thing or two about playing guitar. But he never played one in Led Zeppelin. Plant is known to blow a mean harp and played harmonica on several Zep tunes, including YOU SHOOK ME, BRING IT ON HOME, WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS, CUSTARD PIE, and (from the Presence album) NOBODY'S FAULT BUT MINE.
I bought Highway to Hell in 1979, and I always considered the cover picture a little bit rude. You'd think the Youngs could have moved over a bit for Rudd and Williams to get in the picture a bit more.
Love your vibe brother. I liked and subbed. My favorite part of your reaction was when you resumed after the pause. When the the chorus hook comes in, you could see the surprise on your face. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for doing one of their lesser know songs. True fans know these songs and can sing along. You shouldn't be disappointed with anything from the Bon Scott Era. Check out Down-payment Blues or Rocker.
