Thank you for the video update on activities in the firearms industry. Now, if I could only find a store that even has .22lr ammo for sale with out selling a kidney or getting a bank loan for a box of 50 rounds! lol $8 a box of 50 from the only gun store in town is highway robbery.
I hope this will help us but looking at their ammo prices I'm thinking they aren't gonna be much help other than we might be able to actually find some high priced primers. Vista will probably buy them out like the others if they do too good a job. LOL

I got all my reloading supplies I got ammo and I buy a box or two every time I go to my FFL dealer. He taught me that 5 years ago. Buy a box or two when it's on the shelf and put it away
Back when I was working (am retired now), once a month I would buy one box of my favorite ammunition and rotate it with existing supply, that way I always had fresh ammo to use. Have not purchased ammunition since the pandemic started and my state governor closed down all the gun stores and ranges.
Fort smith arms and ammunition plant is in Arkansas and makes primers, as are many other small outfits. There are definitely not only 2 primer manufacturers. Expansion inc. Is in shambles as the owners sold the business halfway through the development of the primer facility. The first large batch of samples sent to customer investors didn't reliably fire in striker fired or weak hammer factory offered arms so it appears capital has run out and we will never see Expansion primers on shelves or commercially available.
It's a year later and these still aren't available. Primers from Bosnia, Mexico, Italy, and Argentina being offered. SR and SP are generally available but LR are still hard to find and expensive.
This is of course excellent news, but while I expect availability to improve, I don't expect much in the way of relief on high prices. Metal prices are beyond the manufacturer's control, and metal prices are being driven up by increased demand for other uses.
