As one of your OG subscribers is good to see you do a review on mobile gaming devices. This is a great video, my old friend.

I have heard many good things about this particular one, I wonder how complex.might be to have like a dock station where you can plug a graphics card monitor and keyboard and have this as a full computer "at home" and also as a gaming device on the go.

I always say that hardware and devices that we buy need to serve multiple purposes because at the end of the day we're no longer stuck in one location. But yes, like you said, this is great and it should be a good option for many people

I didn't watch till the end yet but you claimed that 1 is for charging and 1 if for connection of data. Brother they are both the same USB c thunderbolt 4 from what I understand.

While I like the Lenovo Legion - and I'd like to get one to mess around with to see if I could get it configured to be easily usable for my brothers; I'd like more support for these devices to go with Linux. Not to be an elitist, but to help increase developer support for Linux.
And that's not even going down the complaints that Microsoft is taking windows towards a direction I'm personally not comfortable with 😅
BUT end of the day - more options will always get a thumbs up from me.
    PS. Great video!

Strongly suggest the ally over it. Also downscaling on that larger screen is much more noticeable. On more demanding titles, you can't run full resolution comfortably. Also, the software is really bad and an afterthought. The software on ally is what sold me.

@@Elephantmoonlight (I'd typed a previous comment, but completely misread 🤣 - I'll check out the ally!)

I mean looks nice, seems to work well, but battery life is not amazing, so unsure about that, but apart from that seems like a nice console!

Love my GO, main complaints are Win11 isn't touch friendly on a smaller screen, and I'd like the SD card to be more recessed. I have noticed that wake up from sleep doesn't let me open gaming apps, I have to reboot, which I usually have to force, hopefully be fixed with an update.
If you have a game that is resource heavy, using stream feature in Steam is great and the battery lasts much longer. (ie streaming ESO with Minion Mods from my deaktop to the GO while on the couch is perfect).

Why not just use mobile hotspot? Gaming doesn’t use much data downloading the games do.
