What I would like to see is an arc with Viola where she'll absolve her training and becomes a full Umbra Witch. When I read she's a witch in training, I expected her to be a full witch by the end of the game but just like you said, she gets a title out of nowhere and that's it. It would be cool to see if she really would form a pact with Cheshire, since he's more of a friend to Viola. This could be a great opportunity to show Viola struggling with deciding if she wants to turn her friend into her servant. But I doubt we'll get that much depth considering how goofy she is portrayed. I'm looking forward to the Bayo Origins game, too, I love the art style and I hope the gameplay will be just as great.
i agree on the whole Viola thing. She doesn't deserve it yet. Also, a lot of the Bayonetta community thinks the game was rushed and it wasn't completed the way it should've been. It has the whole DMC4 vibe, Viola is Nero, but he was announced as the new protagonist when the game was announced. I'm excited as well for the future of the series as well. Cereza will be in the next game in some way, shape or form. You did an awesome job on this Infinite Climax playthrough! Congrats!
Viola should’ve been the main character, or at least should’ve been as relevant to the story as Bayo. That’s a hill I would die on. I hate how she was basically fodder in the ending and gets only 1 fight after the credits. Singularity was technically HER problem first, and she even watched as he killed her mother. This would have made her ending a lot more meaningful, but the devs not even giving her so much as a round against him was so unsatisfying. She didn’t even resolve the Luka/Strider problem, which was her whole “storyline”. Bayo was the one that ended up killing Dark Adam like whyyyyyy not Violaaaa
I totally agree with what you said about it feeling like viola didn't deserve the title at the end. hell, she fucks up one of the things she does the most, calling her sword, at the end. I get she's more of a goof in this game (in place of luka I guess?) and I don't mind that but i definitely think she should have had her own game of learning rather than a single boss fight. but tbh, I really don't like playing as her. maybe I'm just bad, but I really dislike the sword, the hand to hand combat, and having to parry for witch time. I much more enjoy bayo/jeanne's multitude of different weapon options which offer different styles of fighting. I also hated the two dying at the end. not only did luka not even die before getting dragged to hell, I can't believe bayonetta would get dragged down to hell. overall, pretty good game imo but I feel reluctant to try harder difficulty challenges like infinite climax (probably just me being horrible at the game tho lmao). also, I played on standard and the boss fights were still annoying as hell with way too much health. congrats on the huge accomplishment of getting pure plat in infinite climax btw!!
ah, also just wanted to add that I found it kinda weird that bayo and luka had a kid, but tbh I somehow knew from the very beginning that she was her kid. also, about the romance thin, I didn't think they would actually "get together" because I thought they'd always have a "will they won't they" type relationship.

Thanks for the playthrough. But honestly, the first game will always be the hardest one to ever beat on infinite climax mode. That 3rd game was ok.
