You are so welcome I'm thrilled to have you here with me Julie! Indeed 72 years YOUNG., I'm right behind you friend :-) Lets keep painting and having fun!
You're welcome 😊 I'm so glad., and Yes, I'm sure you noticed my favorite colors! I have to really work to get out of my "Opera Rose" "Quin Magenta" "Olive Green" and Sap Green" They are all so beautiful together, especially when Opera Rose is blended with Cad Yellow and Cad Orange, just yummy! Good to see you here with me this Saturday Spring Day Puffy!
@@DebbieWalkerArtmadeeasy I am practicing this Tulips at the moment. And it is harder than i thought. It looked easier in your video. So I need to paint this flower over and over before I add leaf. I had a bit of problem of using paper before. For some reason I hate to waste paper so my first painting must be the perfect one. Which is impossible! So I told myself that I must practice over and over on the paper. Even it is bad, even the paper got wasted. It is ok. Sorry you know what I mean 😂
@@Hopexi yes! I absolutely know what you mean. I hate to waste paper.. purchase inexpensive watercolor paper from Walmart or even Amazon. And practice filling the entire sheet with the brushstrokes, going slowly and repeating (have you purchased one of my little pre work sets that go with each tutorial,25.00) Inhave one for these tulips too-they would be helpful as I lay out the brushstrokes for you to repeat. Take your time. It takes patience for you to create the muscle memory in your mind and hand to create these strokes. I e done them 1000’s and 1000’s of times for 40 years so for me it is like brushing my teeth. That will come For you too! I still practice “c” strokes and thin and thick lines over and over till I can do it without thinking about it. Then when you feel happy with your brushstroke and shape move to your better paper.. you will get there I promise! This is a ln entirely new skill :) but you will get there . If I can do this So can you! Always notice when you paint something well and repeat it. Go very slow with your brushstrokes :) If you send me via email your brushstrokes or painting I may be able to suggest and help you as well.
Thank you Linda~ I love sharing and teaching, and I do take my time, and like to share my thought process. It helped me when I was learning :-) I hope you are inspired to paint along with me! Happy painting friend :)
So glad you brought to my awareness the first video! I woke up this am and immediately fixed! Yikes lots of computer challenges yesterday. Lol (I’m not a tech girl Here) I hope it is a great resource! Grab the little practice packet with my notes , prework and original painted here too , only one of them of course. It would be a great help with brushstrokes etc. hapoy painting!

So happy to have you here on this beautiful Spring Day. Before you go... Did you grab your free e-book, with a lot of little reminders of the brushstrokes to refer too? About tulips, the leaves grow first and come up from the roots at soil level and do not grow off the flower stems as the stem and flower comes up after the leaves.
thanks Jane, thats fascinating! I did not know that, I found it quite interesting that there were leaves com ing out near the top of the stem which I had not noticed in tulips before! thanks for sharing, I love flowers! Happy painting!
Hi! Im so happy my video inspires you to give it a go. little hint buy the best paper you can! The rest will come. So happy to have you here with me as I get better on here as well. Learning videoing and the sort. Happy Painting!

Hi Nat! Thanks for you input. I show a tulip I purchased from the local grower. I appreciate your correcting me on the anatomy of a tulip. I also mention in my videos that I paint my expression and encourage others to do the same with their color choices, and shapes, styles in watercolors. I do my best to share the easiest version of florals I can. The tulips I have here are what I painted. I did add in more long leaves as I love adding in greenery and what is beautiful to me. Thank you Nat. Happy painting. unfortunately, I cannot attach a photo of my tulips I have here growing.

What you painted are not tulips. The flower petals and the leaves are incorrectly attached to the stems.
