NEVER before has another person in this worldlife of ours, ever conveyed such brilliance in one simple single sentence. 8 years ago.....? Yep still this is a true sentiment, no doubt about it, mang!
He definitely looks quite godly here. The funny thing is, back in '92, they looked like anything but rock stars. People probably thought that they looked like a bunch of dorks. And they probably were a bunch of dorks.
I love how unnecessary, and yet amazing it is that they have two drummers. Also crazy that Malkmus plays lead and sings. Sounds suspiciously like hard work from a so-called 'slacker'!!!!!
Gary young was the main drummer, but he kept on getting wasted at shows so they needed a back up which eventually became main when Gary got fired 93? Malkmus does play rhythm but sometimes mimicks spirals lead
I think the 00's and the 10's will prove in time to have born some good music, it's just that often it takes a while for defining music of an era to be recognised for it's genius - The Velvet Underground for example.
Everything from Pavement, Nirvana, Fu Manchu, Quicksand, Clutch, Kyuss... I could go on forever. It was the best decade for music, hands fucking down. And I wish we could do it again. Kids have no appreciation for what real music is.
FUCK, YES. Somebody please put this and the '92 Brixton Academy show on DVD. Breaks my heart that Slow Century has those two tragic shows at the end of the TT tour when they were worn out and sick instead of the entire Brixton Academy show, which they must have had the rights to or they couldn't have included the clips in the documentary.
@crackityjones777 Haha so true. Kings of Leon is god awful. I saw a live performance on tv the other night and honestly Pavements musicianship was somehow lightyears above them haha
I can't understand why some people can't see that they're the greatest band to ever walk the Earth.
I can, have you met people?

The wind in Malkmus' hair makes him look like an epic rock-star hero!

The spin move at 1:11 kills me every time

Rahul Bery Ha! Good point.🤣
was necessary - one drummer kept the other one in time

You’re so wrong Steve West replaced Gary Young Bob stayed on percussion and Malkmus always plays lead
and this, ladies and gentlemen, is why the 90s fucking rocked
Ibold! always looks like fresh air.
warmwarmerdisco so you mean he's invisiBold? GREETINGS FROM THE FUTURE!

James Lavin nope
@@babyduck9217 There's been a lot of good acts. You're just stuck in the past
I wish there was a full recording of this show with about the same sound quality as in this video.
That weird feeling you get when you find out the world was a lot cooler when you were four years old
Great band, great town!
I was 20 years, who's listen this classic in 2019?
Everything from Pavement, Nirvana, Fu Manchu, Quicksand, Clutch, Kyuss... I could go on forever. It was the best decade for music, hands fucking down. And I wish we could do it again. Kids have no appreciation for what real music is.
I've been downnn. I've been down down down down. down... down. woo ooha ooha ooh oooohhhhh!!!!!!
this is the first live video of Pavement where i see the original drummer! exciting!!!
Perfume V live - welcome back on YT!
L'Oreal.
Welcome back to the 90s!

matulaatio1 how brilliant was that weekend!!!
FUCK, YES. Somebody please put this and the '92 Brixton Academy show on DVD.
Wow! I never realized they were so pretty. Wouldn’t have liked them as much if I knew how they looked... great band
Great logic.
Stephen is using a pretty standard Fender stratocaster. Scott K is playing a Fender Mustang.

great post
@ Pad , the are touring extensively in Europe.
When you thirst for rock in 2022. Pavement be that antidote.

The boys are looking awfully studly in this footage!
イケメンの向井秀徳。
@takeittothemall ...Don't forget the sweater under the shirt...that's why these guys rule.
i want those pants.
So that's why they kicked Gary Young out of the band. It all makes sense now.
too wasted
It's what I want
killer green pants, dried mouth spit, and tights worn under shorts.
Too bad music doesn't come like this anymore..
not enough pogo wave in the crowd
I retract that, Most Kids, don't appreciate, real music.
Got the Lp.
It fucking scares me that this is 20 years. I WAS ONLY 2 WHEN THIS HAPPENED. FUCK.
scares you...i was 18!!!
To quote Beavis (or maybe it was Butthead): "These guys need to try harder"
777Lemmy 🤣
hahahaha cool
Great stuff...perfect sound forever!
@crackityjones777

@eminemdisstopia yeah he WISHED he was Stephen Malkmus but he ain't even close
Who said Pavement had no energy at their shows? Look at the drum guy
Gary young. dude was crazy. Malk didn't like him so they got rid of him. check out vids pre 93 if you haven't. made shows even better.
+J Beckmann Malkmus did like him
Young was well recieved, he was just a crazy alcoholic.
He plays good in this video
Curte som, Binho???
Don't ask me to say it twice 😢😭
It wasn't that bad....it only rained on the Saturday night
I don't think that I could love this band any more. If I were to ever switch teams, my new boyfriend is going to look like 1992 Steve Malkmus.
I like plantman better than this.
