Boggles my brain why a AAA studios animation department won’t use motion capture. The movement and lightsaber actions are so robotic, it looks awful.

Using the force to pickup stuff and move it however you want and throw it has me so excited. The use of the force is getting very close to where we were with The Force Unleashed.

Agreed. And it’s so satisfying that Cal’s seemingly retained all of the skills he learned in Fallen Order. Hopefully no shitty resets at the start of the game.

It was only bitter for me. I'm still mad he didn't try to avenge him. He was more upset to find out Trila/Cere knew each other than he was about what Trila did to Prauf - in my opinion.

Most were shut down, some continued to function and went haywire, while others (like these) were salvaged and repurposed.
@@themysterysith9087 Okay, so what they were shut down. Then what, what was done with them after, where were they dismantled? Also it was never shown in Episode 3 all of them shutting down.
They were melted down or taken by random people as security or rebellion activity.
Sometimes they just leave them behind there's a clone war or rebels episode that shows a kid who found them and he just hacks em to be his droids
The physics on the robot getting sliced in half at 4:16 was super slick, transitioned seamlessly from the jump animation into the destruction.

One quibble: Cal's walking animation looks a little weird, and could maybe use some polish

the fact that we can now fully dual wield the light sabers is amazing, game looks awesome
game seems cool but it's weird that the lightsabers only cut the foes in half if they are low health.
Would be cool if they made a "difficulty" where the player had alot less HP and the lightsabers actually cut stuff realistically.

What lightsaber style did you use in Fallen Order? Because the double bladed fighting style was fast past.
@@aidanforman5950 but enemy attacks were still fairly slow even on the hardest setting, but they seem a bit quicker to attack now
It looks like they took a lesson on expanding the Force abilities from "The Force Unleashed" too.

Obsessed with the first one. Can’t wait for this. Music sounds incredible like last time. Hats off to the composers! They are perfectly serving John Williams prequel era, but with their own touch. It’s an amazing combination.

Or… they could just use original Star Wars soundtrack so the game actually feels climatic. Just like it was jn Jedi Knight series or Republic Commando and other old SW games.
The composer is currently composing Star Trek Picard and I’m so excited for it , he is sharing bits of this soundtrack on twitter
@@zzzolll nah the new music is great and im assuming u havent played fallen order because they do use a couple tracks from the movies in specific point in the game where it makes sense for the narrative

I'm so glad that the style kills with the double bladed lightsaber have been improved. It's so much more fluid!
one thing is that unlike the first game, every lightsaber strike or blaster deflect looks so weightless, making the enemies look unharmed when hit with a lightsaber
Played the first game twice. Beyond stoked for this sequel. Loving the bigger maps, addition of fast travel and mounts, combat animations look superb as well.
Again.....all enemies are either droids or beasts...no 'sentient beings' that are dangerous and intelligent enough to pose a threat to an 'actual Jedi'. (Shadowtroopers, Imperial Spies, ShadowGuards, Flametroopers, ARCTroopers, Darktroopers, Inquisitors and various Bounty Hunters)
You could even go and put things like Sith Assassins and Sith Warriors and/or Dark Jedi Acolytes...I mean it is Star Wars...

What's cool about this game is that there isn't a constant meaningless background music. Instead you get to listen to the noises of environment, physics, movement, and interaction. Developers somehow miss this. They don't understand that we don't need music constantly to immerse the player into the game's universe.
Or maybe the reviewer just turn off the music? 😂

The enemy AI needs work. Him lighting that saber right above droid and marauder for them to be non the wiser was disappointing
the animation and blending at 3:58 after the parry was awesome, kill animation was absolute filth too, very glad each stance has its own unique animation set... this is looking great, glad they've taken the time to delay it too :)

@@noodle7725 the attacks are so much smoother, the dual light saber has a different moveset instead of being one attack, the combat is faster than before, and Finishers are better

Everything apart from a couple animations looks awesome. The world building and events we see in this gameplay already looks leagues better than the first, where lots of environments didn’t feel lived in or like there was something already happening before you showed up for the story beat. Can’t wait for this.

After the sequel trilogy consisted of mostly people swinging around lightsabers like they were baseball bats, there's something immensely satisfying about the casual mastery with which Cal uses his.
