The BMW 801 aircraft engine 6:29 was used in the Luftwaffe during WWII in their top of the line fighter pictured on the wall. It produced almost 2,000 horsepower. I have heard that the BMW roundel represents a marine propeller. The blue is the water and the white is the propeller.
Well, technically you can, but in Germany it is common sense that you shouldn’t. No ropes needed for that. Applies to most museums. I mean you wouldn’t touch someone’s car in a parking lot, just because you could.
Hey guys, be sure to leave a comment with the timestamp of your favorite BMW from the video! I'm curious to hear which one's you liked the most! Mine was at 9:24 😍😍
Wow Chris. You made that trip to Munich. That's about 400 miles from my home in the Netherland. And you caught "my" first BMW on camera. The e21 323i, Kashmir Metallic. That car caused my BMW addiction! Impressive that you came all the way down from FL to see this. And BMW was indeed a plane engine manufacturer, in origin. They say the BMW logo is actually a plane propellor. Have a lovely holiday in Germany. Dutch regards, Nico.
We visited the store, but I didn't see anything you couldn't just buy at a bmw dealership here in the states, so I saved my money. Would rather buy car parts 😁
If you are still in Germany and you are interested in other car museum you should visit the Porsche and Mercedes Museum, Auto und Technik Museum Sinsheim is really big and nice and in the northern part of Germany you should visit Volkswagen Autostadt as there is a really nice car museum as well. If you go to the west you may visit JP Performance. Celebrate your stay. Let me know if you need some tips.

Love how they have the motors out in the open and you’re just able to touch on them

Hope you enjoyed it. Fantastic place I used to visit regularly.
That museum looks absolutely amazing, hopefully I get to visit one day! Also that lady in the airplane engine room was giving you the death stare lol

@13:47 Did you find the V16 7 series prototype, yet?
@7:33 No, it is a compact a 3 series Ti.
@8:42 Nah, BMW is actually an acronym for "Bin Mal wieder in der Werkstatt." ;)
I'll just be over here with the E30 M3 for like the next 100 years or so 😁
So.....v12 swap on the e53? Thanks for letting us tag along

This is amazing man. Now I'm sure I want to go to this place. Only question would be is this place open year round or was this a special day?
Open year round, with only a few exceptions. Definitely worth going!

I live 15 min away from the Museum and i have never been in there😂
Is it allowed to bring proffesional camera inside?
Yeah! They didn't have a problem with mine
Chris, engines, not motors.
