This was the first repair I needed for my M. Paid the shop, but cool to see how it’s done.

U can tap the back of the wheel hub to get it out. Lots of room for it

One can also thread the hub mounting bolts back in a bit and tap on them to get the hub out. Just be careful to make sure that the mounting bolts are in far enough to not strips the threads.

Hi, Ed! Always a pleasure to watch your vids! Seems like this wheel bearing has a removable dust cover for adding some grease to elongate the bearing usage period. I decided to give a try and added some extra grease to the bearing that is about to start producing the noise for my qx80 through abs sensor hole, as based on the experience of people who did the same it works in some cases

hi Ed. i just subscribed since i just got a m37x and have been on a watching spree seeing what i can learn from others and you have been very insightful.
its a heavy car at almost 2 tons if its RWD only so pot holes, bumps/bad roads, hard turns and hard driving in general, skinny tires(skinnier the worse) are hard on wheel bearings as well as other parts on heavier vehicles. the metals probably dont get any harder in any areas compared to lighter cars.
i love anti seize pasting everything. makes bolts in and out way easier. you can do them by hand all the way in in most cases and in my experience nothing has ever gotten loose. the squeel and feel of dry nuts and bolts is painful to me. antiseize your rotor hub faces too for never stuck and never rust result. put some in the caliper slides as well with the silicon grease. it stays on for years or maybe forever where you put it. antiseize is just fun to use lol i also like fluid film's and amsoil's rust inhibitor sprays.

Congratulations on the purchase. Ms are nice, so I hope it serves you well.
And I understand the antiseize sentiment. So this video was just a how-to since I was reinstalling the old bearings to troubleshoot something. For some reason I can tolerate the noise better than the mess of antiseize touching everything, lol.
Then I remember when I put it on a hub to prevent rotor sticking and shortly after I was still fighting it because it got stuck. I think I actually have that in one of the videos I posted.

Great video, thanks. How long did you take overall. On Google they says it takes between 90 and 120 minutes, you made it look so easy and fast. I want to see if my mechanics will try to screw me…
    Thanks again

Whats the torque spec? Google says 65 but that seems low.

When do you have to replace wheel bearing and how to diagnose on our infiniti vehicles?

Hi whats the bearing part number? It seems to be a common point that these fail as mine has also failed.

I replaced the bearing and now I can’t get the dust plate to stop scrubbing the rotor… how do I fix that?

Push it with a screwdriver from the wheel side towards the engine. Just go all around the perimeter of the rotor
