I love this. You could do all sorts of colors or metallics. You could spray the base with white spray paint to make it look snowy. Metallic tinsel trees might be fun, too, with some retro mid century decorations. Yours looks great!

I have been watching a lot of DIY Christmas videos that have used those Dollar Tree Christmas trees. They used the pre-cut garland that is short needled and you get about 12 to a package. It really helped fill in the spaces with a little less mess. Just thought I'd pass it along. Love your project. :)

I use garland ties instead of garland. They work well and resemble the tree branches. 😊
A florist suggested that I use several types of greens to give the item depth.

Very cute and thrifty. I would have offset the candles at an angle from each other and removed the center poinsettia. In it's place I would have put a (not too large) fluffy bow made with the burlap and red ribbon with streamers that wound through the branches.
I like that idea.

While either way is good, we can learn from each other, and I like that you added your ideas, as she requested! I would love pine cones instead of poinsettias.
