Hey do you understand why the border is gonna stay closed ? You have a country on the earth that there is a whole subsection of your population who believes the virus is a hoax and refuses to wear a mask because they have "rights" until the USA actually does something and gets the whole country on the same page no countries are gonna allow your citizens entry without some type of extreme quarantine it's too risky to the safety of countries that actually took it seriously
Need to pour the gravy on top of the cheese curds to melt it brother! Lol. Noon move eating food chunks of cheese when u went the extra mile by making fries 🍟homemade
I'm an army veteran and I have severe PTSD and when I started watching your videos my anxiety attacks have gone from about once a day to about once every two or three days and now once a week.I'm not sure what it is about watching your videos but they call me and therefore I appreciate it and I consider you a true friend! Thanks pal. I really hope we can meet someday and do some camping together I think it'd be awesome.
Hey Daniel, Dan here from Canada, I’m so glad to here you are feeling better. Stay strong brother. I love watching his video’s also. I also have PTSD from a traumatic incident. His videos take me away for a bit. Super cool. Once again stay strong and thanks for your service.
You are by far the most realistic car campers I ever known. Every videos you experienced or stated something that I think might happened as a campers. Being questioned and chased away by cops, aware of possible dangers (gunshots, bad neighbourhood etc.), non perfect equipments. Most youtubers they made videos like they are in heaven and acted like nothing can go wrong.
omg, i love trailer park boys! Your bubbles impression was spot on! Its always been my dream to go travel in a camper/bus/van/truck and check out gorgeous areas!
My husband and I live in the fishing goldmine of Ontario Canada, we live just 2 mins from Wollaston Lake!! When and If Canada opens its borders before the winter, you’re welcome to camp in our driveway :)
I really appreciate how you don't use any over-hyped music in your videos. There is something calming about watching your gorgeous drone shots with just the sound of your car.
I love the feel of this trip. Mav, only you could pull off a scene like 28:08 that sets such a calm mood... just peaceful and asleep, while a bird circles and calls from high above... The first alarm of the morning, signalling to us that the sun is coming up and it's time to crawl out of the sack and make coffee. Thanks for that feeling, I'm going back now to watch it again.
I am a very proud Minnesotan...living in the rural east central part of the state.. On the front of my shed I display the US flag and the Canadian flag....honoring our friends to the north.
You're right it was hard for our tourism. I'm right in the middle of where most of you come to fish. Were recuperating some now though. Slow but steady 💜
My daughter has Crohn's and currently has Covid. She has a fever and is resting, but my anxiety is so high. Watching these videos is calming me down in between taking care of her.
Im a Canadian who now lives in the USA. Love that you watch Trailer Park Boys and can do better impressions than myself. Love all your vids but giving Canada respect was pretty cool
I appreciate that you show respect for the reservation. If you found someone to ask, I am sure there would have been no problem with you sleeping over night. You're good about packing out what you pack in anyway. I am glad that you didn't have this cavalier attitude about the situation. If I were ever to be in the same situation, I would have done the same.
You alone inspired me to get out and start fishing again! Haven’t since I was a kid and it’s been the best thing ever! I am so grateful for your inspiration thank you Mav!!!
Thank you, Mav. ❤ I'm watching this several months later and I really appreciate all the nice comments you made about Canada. Thank you for being so genuine and kind.
I'm 42 years old and watching your channel makes me want to be out more in the outdoors. Just got home last week after being away in New Hampshire and Maine. Loved it can't wait to get out again have a good day and stay safe Jimmy from Massachusetts

I just found your channel a couple days ago - I subscribed and have been binging ever since. Awesome videos Mav, keeps me entertained while staying home. I love camping and fishing.
When I watch your videos, it makes the Day much better. Idk what it is with you but watching these puts away anxieties. Shout out from Albuquerque NM. 💯✌🏾
HAHAHAHA the trailer park boys reference was hilarious. I knew exactly what episode when you brought the show up, just by the passing of the green trees in the window lol
I like watching your trips, I used to belong to 1000 trails and camp in California and Nevada when my daughter was little. I am bored now so this is nice seeing different areas. Bye, bye.
canadian here and im actually liking this summer a lot better since no tourism lol , a lot of the local places ive talked to say they are doing just fine or even better then before for half the part just because of local support !!
We were in Grand Portage in August 2020. There is a really cool/difficult hike at the State Park/rest area right by the border. One trail (very easy) takes you to this amazing waterfall and then another trail (pretty difficult, but amazing views) that veers to the left takes you to a river where the Canadian border was about 10 feet away (just a “jump” over the rushing water). Pretty cool.
I thought the hurricane season was over , I’m a junior Pre-Med Psych major at Texas A&M. One semester missed won’t affect the 8+ years of school I have left.😂 Gotta live a bit before I get too old or busy to do anything lol.
Cool videos thanks. Just got a topper for my truck. Setting it up for trip to the states to see my great grandkids. I agree it's sad the border closed for so long. I love Lake of woods and Northern Minnesota.
bless your heart, you used real cheese curd! only the east coast says aboot and a few northern states, also poutine rocks. Thank you for being respectful to the indigenous community.
Your videos make me want to face my fears head on for some reason.. You have more strength then most. To live inside of your truck and do what you do takes a certain someone. You are an interesting dude and your channel is a great help too the world. Keep it up man. Almost 100k views Yeee! Be safe bro
I've been watching for a while, I'm lucky enough to owne a 2003 TJ and a roof tent being in the UK and so many restrictions for wild camping. I've ditched the campsight and started going wild. Spent the night on a beach last night, hidden away and it was awesome 👌
I swear I felt like I was watching the beginning of a horror movie when you were walking through those woods into that abandoned cabin. Awesome videos Mav.
Where I ATV and snowmobile there are many parts of the border with just rock boundary markers. Many farms also are half in NH half in Canada. Pretty cool
I've been to that spot on the Pigeon River. It's pretty interesting, and I still wonder how long that bridge has been out. I never noticed the old stripped cabin, though. It really did look like something out of The Blair Witch Project. Did you notice the "security system" they had in place? It might not still be there, but on one of the trees in the middle of the lot/turnaround, there was a game camera in a metal box. lol! I was awed by the technology. Glad you finally stopped by Sven and Ole's. NOW you're a true Minnesotan! ;-)
The bridge was moved in 1962. The bridge spot in this video was built illegally without gov't approval by either country by the Rotary Clubs on both sides.
Our border is opening in the middle of August Maverick and you are welcome to come and camp and do some fishing up here anytime.Greetings from Ottawa,Canada.
I had Sven & Ole's Pizza when I was up in Grand Marais a year ago and that is some of thee best Minnesota pizza I have ever had and I loved every bite of it.
