Hi Steve, just watched your video. I've never expected a reply that quick. Thanks a lot, you really helped me out. I just gave it a try myself with several surfaces and its working nicely. Much more fun now working with symmetries. I've also never used "section surface" so far. It seems like a nice feature, I will get more into that one as well. Very best regards from Germany, Tobias
Both systems will produce the same surfaces. It is a question of how you create them. In some ways NX is better. In some CATIA is better. In truth you want to create the simplest surface with the least math to constrain your shape.
how do you rotate the model in nx 12 while doing anything as your cursor still remains at the same place .....is there any kind of joystick you are using while rotating the model because it rotates very smoothly......do reply

Section Surface is an incredible tool. Siemens has done a little work to it in NX 12. I will do more videos on it soon. Cheers.
Steve, your tutorials are always very instructive. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you. My pleasure.
Awesome, Steven. Did you make a comparison of surface complexity between nx 12 and catia?
I have in previous videos. It is a little easier to simplify surfaces in NX though.
Based on that video it seems that catia overall performs more complex surfaces which is vital in automotive and aerospace?

He's using 3DConnexion manipulator.
