I just watched an old episode of Wagon Train from 1956. It was one dealing with the rights of women to vote and one of the lines in that show was "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world." I thought about this song immediately and can't help but wonder if there might be , in some slight instance, be a connection between the two? Perhaps the writer of the song saw this episode and later penned the song...
Two fantastic singers, two great voices, and two fine tuned guitars. Great song and duo! I lived in Noblesville, Indiana....Steve Wariners hometown, back in the 1980's. Was a really nice and congenial guy. Personality as good as his voice!
