    Been a viewer for a long time! Quit flying back in 2015 and returned to it last year (quads). Cant believe how far the hobby has come! Loving quads so much and fancied a wing - have ordered an AR Pro. Your guides have helped immensley since my return.
    Was a bit nervous about using INAV, but this series is by far the most concise and useful out there and now have 'confidence' to build and maiden. Cheers :-)

      I am exactly in the same situation as you Adrian. I was flying with fixed-wing glow and electric for about 4 years and that is going back about 10 years ago. As you say the hobby has become more advanced in that period of time. Far more advanced since the first computer transmitters came out. This channel is, in my opinion, the best channel to learn from. It is a totally new learning curve.

    Thanks Lee! Again very informative.
    Now it is waiting for spring and summer to start here in NZ so I can get it out for first flight!
    Thanks

    That was super-helpful Lee. Just about to try a wing out and wasn't sure on all those auto tune/level modes worked. Have set everything up, ready for a maiden!

    The way the new autotune works is crazy. You're right, it's totally sluggish at first. Do a couple complete rolls and you can almost see it speeding up as you go. Same with loops.

  • @tausifpv
    @tausifpv 2 года назад

    Great Videos! I'm wondering if one should do the autotune with cruise or max. throttle. With max. throttle the detected rates should be higher and the PIDs maybe lower. Perhaps cruise throttle is better because the navigation modes mostly use cruise throttle and therefore the PIDs and rates should be tuned for this. What do you think?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 года назад +1

      I tune at cruise or 50% throttle... Happy flying

    Thanks for these videos. Just to confirm you only use auto level on set up and its on a switch. Or do you use it all the time when in horizon like your older video.

    Hi. Thanks for the video. I have one problem. Servo work perfect. But the engine cannot be activated. I use a speedybee f405 wing. Inav 6.1, radiomaster tx12 mk2 and use model delta . Motor calibrated and I see inav/receiver trottele get signal from my tx12. Maybe you can tell me something.

    when you have the board backwards, i.e. 180 in yaw.... to adjust for nose up flight is board alignment for pitch now (with 3.0) always positive? in 2.6 it was negative for a backwards board.

    Thanks Lee. Do you have the horizon mode on when you auto launch? It showed Acro then jumped back to horizon. Did have horizon the whole time or you switched to it when you took over?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 года назад

      Three flight modes: Horizen, manual and Acro usually. Horizon bring the one selected for it to use when Autolaunch is cancelled..

    Following your video and setting up a wing as per your video. Using a F411 controller. Problem I’m having is cannot get the arm switch to activate. Motor runs in output tab, but cannot get the arm to work. I have not activated or installed the gps as yet.

    Hello Lee! In the video, you mentioned something about reducing the Rates to what the model setup guide calls for. But right after reducing the rates, you put them back to 100%. Do I need to leave the rates @ 100% before my maiden/autotune/auto level flight?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  2 года назад +1

      Set the rates to give the the travel needed when in manual mode. My linkages were setup so 100% worked for me on this model.. Happy flying

    I noticed in a previous video, you have auto level activated with horizon mode together on the same channel, yet in this video, you have it on separate channels, then you turn auto level off. I'm confused as to whether should you have them together or separate?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  3 года назад +1

      I've used both but was advised that it's better to use it on a seperate switch and only use it whenever you trim the model. Best of luck
