It's not just Linda, it's EVERYONE. Everyone who ever comes across Morbo is completely unphased by all of Morbo's anger and threats. Elzar is unphased, the guests on his show are unphased, and Fry doesn't hesitate to give him a hug.

Men think women are kind and nurturing even when it has been significantly proven again and again that they are not and have become ice cold harridans in this latter generation you see and will believe what they say because they couldn’t possibly have any commonality with Cerberus from the Gates of Hades itself if they wear a pink dress could they? Well men were wrong and now many are dead.
Such a great running gag. But after the revival of the series I was expecting them to explain that Morbo's race had tried to conquer Earth but had failed *so bad* no one took them seriously.
Well the fake laugh was because his partner was taken by the tentacle and he wanted to make it seem like he agreed with her before getting the heck out of there. Don't forget people were originally terrified when yevo first came to earth with Fry.
They probably couldn't find a funny angle. Maybe if it turned out that they were actually peaceful and chill and it's only Morbo who's aggressive, but it's not a premise that could carry an entire episode.
“Morbo will now introduce tonight’s candidates. Puny human number 1. Puny human number 2. And Morbo’s good friend, Richard Nixon.” Hearing Morbo saying “Puny human” just made me burst out laughing 😂
Morbo is so extra and I'm all for it. I've only got a few things to point out here: My guess is that his mentions of his species planning to invade Earth are just done for entertainment purposes. Morbo probably doesn't mind as he likely already had earned the epithet "the Annihilator" before becoming a news anchor, and the "Invasion" storyline was probably the result of him and the studio execs/producers spitballing ideas, since they now have an aggressive, muscular alien with huge, throbbing forehead veins as the male anchor. Also, it's likely that Morbo's been doing this for years, and developed a good friendship with co-anchor Linda van Schoonhoven, since he comforted her when she had a breakdown after all the world's alcohol disappeared. Morbo brings the same energy to "Who Dares/Wants to be a Millionaire" as one of his predecessors, Jeremy Clarkson. Who here would love to have Morbo moderate a current Presidential Election, with the candidates including but not limited to: Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, Gavin Newsom, Ted Cruz, Kamala Harris, Ron Scott, and Beto O'Rourke? I for one would enjoy Morbo's dry, dark sense of humor(?) and him threatening to destroy each candidate. And we all know he'd be perfect as he appears to be apolitical, and as he said himself: "All humans are vermin in the eyes of Morbo." I WILL DESTROY ALL OF YOU!
I once had to babysit my sister’s hamsters, Dimples and Cuddles. Dimples was an evil little bastard, always bullying his brother, taking his food and biting hell out of anyone who tried to handle him. I renamed him Morbo and it stuck.
