Well said Mr. Anand..Having been through interviews myself, I have observed this thing too that the way we define ourselves, our goals does get to the interviewer..
However, there is one more thing that I learnt is that it's difficult to get your resume shortlisted for the interview in first place . I applied for over 20 vacancies, but only few of them cared to revert and only couple of them scheduled the interview. Even though I was satisfying the eligibility criteria, I wasn't getting any call.
Please share your inputs on this.

It is quite normal for job seekers to get responses only about 5% of the time. In your case, it appears that your received a few responses for 20 applications so that is well within the normal range. What is important is that you keep applying for roles without becoming discouraged, and don't forget to follow up quickly with those who do respond to your application. Once you have determined your goal (medical writing), getting an offer is essentially a numbers game: apply more frequently, interview more frequently, follow up quickly and network with writers often. Your next opportunity is right around the corner.
