What did you torque the original compressor wheel on the new 10 blade exhaust turbine wheel?
Why air too lube? Why not just coat it with motor oil? Wouldn’t motor oil be easier lol
You’re shirt rag is wearing me out lol
Next time he should wear a black shirt lol
Have a serious question hopefully you see this but I’m wondering if you’ve done an LML turbo rebuild kit. Bought it and pulled my turbo out. Was a giant pain in the ass. The turbine seemed too big for the exhaust housing so I was forced to put the stock one back in because I didn’t want to damage the kb diesel turbine. If it has worked for you lmk and I’ll try it again
I don't even know how it fit backwards I tried to put mine backwards just to see and it wouldn't even fit it the trust bearing only fit one way on mine had me second guessing myself lol
Do you know that you put that ring backwards for the oil to go through
Your supposed to line it up with the oil feed hole
I meant that 360 thrust bearing
Will a bad bearing on the turbo cause it to put alot of engine oil out the down pipe
Yes. Exactly what happened to mine
Haha naturally aspirated
Will this rebuild kit fix issue of otherwise good mechanically functioning turbo sending oil into the hot side pipe?
PCV reroute already done years ago so it is coming from turbo.
Hi did you get your oil issue fixed?

So what I did was purchased a used lbz turbo and a rebuild kit for that. Through lots of digging found that lbz turbos are alot more restrictive than prior years and each gen lml, L5P even moreso restrictive. So I bought an lbz turbo as it's a direct fit to the LMM then bought the 10 blade and rebuild kit for that. So did not do any additional repairs to my LMM factory turbo.
@@natep1661 Ok thank you for replying my Lbz is currently eating up oil and it’s going the same place,I am about to rebuild my turbo and hopefully that’ll resolve my issue as well.
@@liftedlifestyle7765 oh ok. Ya from all my searching this is the way to go. Good luck 👍
Hey, just wondering where you got that rebuild kit?
U can get a rebuild kit from KB Diesel r SPturboot
Kc turbos
Hey man I’ve got an LLY and I’m having trouble with the up pipe bolts being all rusted and seized up. I’ve already broken off 2 bolts and I was wondering if you had any issues with those and if so what do you recommend it to extract those bolts.
If at all possible pull the cab, not near the job you think it is, easier than pulling the heads off to me personally
I soaked my bolts multiple times a day, 3 days in advance with pb blaster. At 210000 miles the bolts came off with the same torque that had been applied. It may be too late now but that's what I'd recommend. Pb blaster works great when you let it sit.
@@natep1661 thanks man, I’m gonna attempt to pull it again and use pb blaster in advance
@@natep1661 after reading this you scared me. I’ve been waiting to take my turn at it. 200k miles and I didn’t even think about how much worse it would be😂
